Disappointed

Location was great

The communication with host was difficult. They forgot about the parking booking. They insulted me in taking the crystall ball from their apartment and that I did not leave the money for parking that I left on the table. They continued to buzz me with a phone calls and messages to figure out where are the things.

Good area, but not peaceful

The apartment itself is decent, and in a good location for Boston Children's Hospital. There is also a nearby playground. The area seems very wealthy and safe. Kitchen well equipped, even a blender which was handy as our son is tube fed a blended diet. Hosts very responsive. Nice touches like snack tray, toiletries for use.

The reviews said the property was peaceful, yet there is a reasonably busy road on one side and a train track on the opposite side. The neighbours above us were AWFUL! They were up at 530am every day, doing what sounded like work with a sawing noise, and then thumped around constantly until about 10pm. We were visiting from overseas for Boston Childrens Hospital, so already stressful with everything going on with our son, and we had so little rest! The weather was very warm when here, and there is AC but the window units were sooo noisy we couldn't use them overnight. We live in Bermuda so are very used to AC and these were on another level. Beds are also not very comfortable so we actually slept on a the couch a few nights. Cleanliness - fine, but could do with a thorough clean under the couch and beds.

A home, not a hotel!

My grandson had surgery at Boston Childrens’ Hospital in May. His parents and I needed a place to stay for the 5 days we were told to plan on. Gavin, my grandson was to stay just the night before surgery. I , partly, selected the property so I could walk. The well established, Brookline neighborhood was lovely! The streets were tree-lined and the homes along the street were beautiful and well maintained! Then, just down the street, you took a right and crossed the bridge into the city, with the plethora of offerings Boston has! I thoroughly enjoyed my walks to and from the hospital! The property was clean, quiet and nicely updated/maintained. It was a wonderful sanctuary for us between visits! There was a parking lot just behind the property, so even that was a breeze! We all liked it so much that, even though my grandson was released a day early, we stayed and enjoyed a relaxing night together before heading home! Really, after long hours at the hospital, you gave us a home to return to, after long hours at a hospital, so that we could relax and replenish our stamina for the next day!

I wish there were Modern bakery cannolis in the fridge!! Lol! That last night, we purchased cannolis from Modern and Mike’s bakeries and took on the taste test challenge! It gave us a memory from our trip that we will talk about for years!
