Location was perfect
Staff for beakfast was not flexible. Eggs fatty and no possibility to order a cappucino (only after 10am) rooms were very small and very noisy. This hotel is the reason Indont want to stay at Green man hotels.

Poca limpieza en la habitación. Toda la semana sin ponernos jabón de manos ni gel de ducha. Moqueta sucia.
Nadie en el hotel hablaba español, ni un poco siquiera, deberían tener un mínimo de conocimiento de idiomas ya que se dedican a ello

Location good. Breakfast food was good.Tea undrinkable. Would much prefer a pot of tea made with boiling water.
We have stayed several times. The rooms in the 60's extension are tired and desperately need new windows.Condensation is really bad.

Our room looked over car park / beer garden very loud as had to open window a little because room very hot but couldn’t hear tv or sleep as customers where having fun also generators going all night and hotel lights on outside all night so was shining in room all night so not much sleep for 2 days

This was our 2nd stay clean tidy the beds are very comfortable the location is in the town staff very friendly and helpful.

Very well located, central, close to the train station, only 20min drive from Stansted Airport.
The staff was super helpful and friendly.

It's above a pub so gets very loud at night. The room was pretty small and cramped and very dark, only a small window.

The food was lovely and the staff friendly & helpful. Check in was easy & they coped well with our group of 15 guests.
Disappointed to see there was no decaffeinated tea in the hotel room, luckily I had bought some of my own teabags!

The loacation was great, the staff friendly, helpful and efficient, and the breakfast was excellent!
The only fault with the hotel is that because it is an old Inn the floors creaked and the noise from doors slamming carried to our room.

The room was a generous size with a comfortable double bed and decent large smart TV. The bathroom was compact, but there was space to put things either side of the sink. The shower cubicle was large but the water pressure was disappointing. The staff were excellent in all areas; very friendly and helpful. The English Breakfast on my first morning was excellent but was a bit cold on the second morning, which was disappointing.
The view of the car park and some outside tables wasn't great, but I wasn't staying there for the views and thankfully I didn't notice the smell of smoke from the people smoking outside.

Noise from the bar through the floor. But after 2300hrs it was quiet.

The staff were very friendly, great location right in the centre of Braintree. Free parking. Lovely omelette for breakfast
The only thing was that the hotel looked very tired and dated. The general corridors looked quite grubby with dirty marks all over the white internal doors and glass. Hadn't been cleaned for a while. The light switch in our room was very marked and needed replacing.

Bar and restaurant available to guests and public alike. Staff were very good. Iron, ironing board and hair dryer in room. Great location

Spacious room with large shower and comfy bed. Staff are lovely and the food is great, they had no issues with taking drinks up to the room. Building is charming and shows off its history well. Was able to park all of my stay.
The team are planning on working more on the air conditioning, downstairs is cooler though.
