Home was as described. Perfect location on the lake with open water in front, dock was perfect for our boat and jet ski. Very close to boat landing which is very convenient. Host was nice and responsive with any questions leading up to our trip.

Third time staying at Jim’s property. Jim is a responsive host. His home is clean and beautifully decorated with amazingly tranquil views of Lake Murray. Highly recommend this for a fun and relaxing getaway.

Another perfect stay at this beautiful and peaceful retreat! The home has a perfect layout, great for entertaining a family/ friends, but also privacy for guests in many sitting areas both inside and out. The view of the lake and dock access is unparalleled and we enjoy all the nature surrounding this lovely property. Beds super comfortable, kitchen amazing, bright home , all on one level easy for everyone. Think you again! The host always goes out of their way to accommodate and be super responsive. We will be back!

The house was right on the lake with a dock and a great wrap around porch for our group to enjoy the lake view. The house is well maintained and decorated. It has a large open living area and dining area. All the appliances were updated and in excellent working condition. Despite being a hot, summer weekend the A/C was terrific for keeping the house cooled. It was very quiet and enjoyable. I would stay there again and highly recommend it

A lake getaway for friends. Wonderful home clean and stocked with all you need just bring the fun. Little hiccup with main TV being out but we but we didn’t let it bother our time together. Beautiful view. We rented a boat which was easy. Can’t wait to return.

This home is absolutely amazing! We were in town for my daughter's graduation from University of SC and this home was perfect! The home is exactly as listed, and even better. The views are incredible, the rooms are spacious, and the kitchen is fully stocked with all of the essentials needed. The BBQ grill is one of the bests!! We will definitely be back.

This property was perfect for our family as we gathered to be near other family members in the community. From the fully stocked kitchen with an abundance of coffee makers, pots, pans, etc., to the paddleboard and kayaks and soft seating outside on the deck this place was perfect for us and we plan to come back! It is literally just outside the state park so you have quick access to great hiking trails, too.

Everything about this home was ideal. We had four college anglers staying with us and they found the location to be very convenient to the ramp at Dreher Island State Park. I enjoyed walking through the park each day. The park entrance is a short 3 minute walk from the house. The kitchen was well stocked, and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out.The view of the lake is spectacular. We will definitely plan to stay here the next time we have a fishing tournament on Lake Murray.

My two teenagers and I stayed at the lake over the long Thanksgiving weekend. The property is beautiful and lovingly furnished and maintained. It was a fantastic escape and quiet on the lake, while still being convenient to the grocery stores in Chapin and a short drive to Columbia. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and dock, making S’mores in the fire pit, and watching college football in the living room. As a mom who has had to cook for the family in many rentals, I have to call out how well-stocked this kitchen is! It has everything you need in terms of cookware, condiments, etc. Gas range, convection oven, and I think there were three different ways to make coffee. I miss waking up to the lake view already. We hope to return in the summer so we can also enjoy the water!

We played at the lake all week. We paddle boarded, kayaked, fished, hiked, biked, walked, and played in the sand, such a great week. Jim was a very responsive host and did whatever he could to make our stay perfect.

The property was exactly as pictured! A bonus was the house was well stocked with paper products and toiletries. We waded in the water, read books on the little beach and fished off the dock! This was a great location for a relaxing lake vacation.

Very nice and comfortable home. Great location for us to put boat in at Dreher Island state park. Dock length and depth of water was perfect for our 23' boat. Kitchen had everything you need to cook. So relaxing to wake up to the water view from master bedroom. We had a great time.

We were very pleased with this rental property. Before arrival, communications with Jim were prompt and helpful. On arrival we found the house to be clean, spacious, attractively decorated and well stocked with basic needs. The view from the back deck was awesome, always a breeze, and it was well furnished for our group of 4. I brought my bass boat along and there was ample room to park it in the drive with easy access to power to recharge the batteries. Launch facilities were only a mile away in the state park. We had a great time and will definitely rent this house again if we visit the area.

This was a great place for a small family get-together on Lake Murray. There was plenty of space, a well-equipped kitchen, and great entertainment — kayak, paddle boards, darts, cornhole, bicycles, etc. It was very peaceful, and we saw lots of wildlife, including a bald eagle and armadillos!

We had a wonderful time at this lake front home. On a large quiet lot, this home did not disappoint. Layout and space was great for relaxing and spending time together. The home had everything we needed for preparing our meals as well as a kayak and paddle boards to use on the lake. So close to the entrance of Dreher Island State Park where we walked each morning and biked. We rented a boat and jet ski which we were able to dock on site for lunch back at the house. Clean and well maintained, we would love to come again. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

This was our second year here and we loved it again! Very accommodating Host and the house offers everything you could want - feels like home! The location is so peaceful with very little boat traffic allowing us to paddle board all the way over to the little island across from the house.

Took the family to the lake for a weekend. Jim is easy to work with. Property is just as listed. Views of lake are fabulous. Boat dock on property. Small beach area for swimming. Jim allows you to use his kayak and paddle boards. Grill on deck. Beds are comfortable. House is well stocked. I would definitely recommend this place.

The home was exactly as shown in the photos. It was well appointed and very well maintained. We enjoyed swimming off the dock, paddle boarding, and grilling on the deck. The main room was extremely large and comfortably furnished. The dining room table was so large that we were able to dine at one end and still have room on the other end to work on our 1000 piece puzzles. Just a lovely, lovely vacation over all. We hope to be back next year.

The house was very nice and great for families. It has a great view of the lake. It looked like the deck was being renovated (torn off wood was behind the garage). There are also multiple places to rent a boat in the area and we were able to moor at the dock at the house which was nice.

We had a wonderful winter family vacation in this beautiful, we’ll-appointed lake house. The view of the lake was stunning both from the living area and master bedroom. We enjoyed morning coffee, as well as afternoon barbecues on the wraparound lake-facing deck. The house had everything we needed for our young family (including a step stool for our daughter to use the sink:)). The owner was extremely helpful with providing check-in details and responded quickly with any questions we had. We absolutely loved this house and hope to book again sometime. Based on our experience, we would highly recommend this property.
