About this house rental
28 foot Camper with slide-out, completely updated and stocked up, just bring your suitcase and get ready to enjoy the beach. The camper is parked on our property on the Intracoastal waterway so you are welcome to join us on the dock for sunset cocktails (or go out there on your own if we aren't around), we have amazing sunsets! Walk to the beach in just a couple of blocks or drive on with your car. Camper has queen master, 2 queen bunk beds, table and sofa convert to beds as well.
Camper parking is limited to one car. Camper is located on property where we live, so we will be in and out but guests welcome to use dock and gym. We have two medium size dogs that do roam the property and are super sweet, but when you pull into the property they will run out barking (it's their job) but are not aggressive. We suggest not booking the camper if you don't like dogs.
Camper is private and only guests may access during their stay. Gym and dock are shared with us and our roommate. Dock is located directly behind the main house (please make sure to use our dock and not the neighbors dock), camper guests will need to walk around the house to access the dock.
We love meeting our guests and happy to chat and enjoy sunsets. For guests that don't want interaction that is totally fine too!
We are a walk to the beach, takes about 10-minute walk for toes in the sand. Lot is directly on the Intracoastal waterway and we do tend to have lots of friends over between us and our neighbors. Safe area, close to beaches, restaurants, golf and tennis.
Beach parking is right down the street or you can drive directly onto our beaches. We are about an hour from Disney.
There is only space for one parking spot. Please make sure to park between camper and the fence on the grass.
Dock hours are 9am-8pm or 15 min after sunset.
You may not flush anything down the camper toilet except bodily fluids. Toilet paper or any other "flushable" or non-flushable item may not be put in toilet. A wastebasket with top is provided for guests and there is a large trash bin behind the camper as well. Guests clogging toilet will be charged for repair and declogging if they clog the toilet with anything besides bodily fluid. Campers don't have big systems so there would not be a situation where someone before you would have clogged it if that happens it would be from tp or other items in the camper during your stay.
Please do not run A/C while keeping the doors open.
We have a medium size dog that does roam the property and she is super sweet, her name is Dot...but when you pull into the property she will run out barking (it's her job). We suggest not booking the camper if you don't like dogs.
Lastly, this is a camper. Campers are different than houses and some things you are used to in a home will be different than you are used to. It's part of the experience, but please understand it's a camper. The camper will need to have the holding tank emptied usually every two days of your stay and there is no on call person to do that so you will need to pull the plugs for 5 minutes to release the water into the sewer lines. It's nothing gross, just pulling a valve and waiting, but it has to be done or the water won't drain in the sink or tub. When using the propane, there is no dial to let us know when propane runs out so we keep spares on site and if a tank runs out we will have someone out that day to change the propane out, usually pretty darn quickly.
While I live on property, Salty Dog Vacations is our Property Manager. We do ask that you contact Salty Dog Vacations for any issues as we both work crazy hours and are not always available but as our Property Managers they are. Sometimes we work from home, but we are actually working and may be on conference calls or working on a project so the Property Manager will need to be the main contact for issues-but we will certainly help when we can, just want to set the appropriate expectation.
Sorry, no pets allowed as my dog is people friendly but aggressive with other dogs.
Provided: 3 rolls toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap (small bottle), 1 roll paper towels, 1 trash bag per bin.
This is a non-smoking unit-we don't care what you smoke, just do it outside. Any smoke smell in home or evidence of smoking in home will result in complete loss of security deposit. If you smoke in the home, it both is unfair to the owner that is working hard to keep their unit nice and to the next guest that rented a smoke-free home. It's Florida, this is non-negotiable so please understand.
We have our cleaners thoroughly clean and sanitize the home between each guest. We also ask our guests to please do the following at check-out (note, if this upsets you please simply find another location as there is a massive labor shortage, we frequently have guests ask for early or late check-in/out and this is how we are able to make things smooth for all guests. Please note our check out instructions:
1. Strip all beds used and pillows and put sheets, pillow covers and used towels in a pile in center of room or on beds for beds used.
2. Turn off all lights.
3. Turn off TVs, coffee makers and other electronics.
4. All dishes should cleaned of old food.
5. Return any books, games, beach items, etc (beach items should be rinsed outside to get rid of any excess sand).
7. Empty any outdoor ashtrays, clean up any cigarette butts.
8. Empty all food from refrigerator (you can leave never opened beverages and used condiments if you wish) put in outside trash.
9. Make sure keys are left ($50 per key replacement).
10. Wipe down countertops and leave camper the way you found it.
11. Turn A/C to 78 degrees prior to departure.
12. Drive or fly home safely and come back and see us soon!

My daughter and I stayed in Happy’s Camper for over a week in June. We’re planning to purchase a camper in the next 3yrs and thought this was a fantastic way to see if we liked it. {spoiler; we did!!}
The camper is just adorable; spacious and comfortable. It was very clean and the owners were quick to show us how to empty the tanks when we asked for guidance.
There was adequate communication before our stay and plenty during and after!! We’ve already recommended this listing to friends and plan {hope} to book again when we’re in Daytona for a few weekends next year.

RV Daytona Stay
Check in of property was easy and it was ready for us. Upon arrival RV had some minor areas not fully cleaned, but I told that to her. I had questions prior to arrival and they were not responded to when she said they would be regarding a grill and a blender. Overall, the blender and grill were not an issue though. It is better to text her and she will respond faster that way. We had to rely on contacting owner to help with a few things for RV but she was very speedy once we were there on site of property to have someone assist us. Overall we had a good trip with our family and it was a good location not far from beach. The price was great!

Relaxing experience & wonderful host
We visited during the memorial day weekend and had a good experience. The owner and the neighbor were so very kind during our stay. The owner did have to come notify us that we had left the outside light on overnight in the camper, which is a no no. While there, she invited us to visit the dock anytime, especially in the evenings to watch the sunset. She also made it known that she was there for us should we need anything. I took her up on visiting the dock for one of the most beautiful sunsets ever!! The area is beautiful, the camper cozy, and it's in a nice quiet neighborhood. The only real issue we had was that the gray water backed up into the shower and had us scared that we had somehow stopped up the drain, even though we were certain that we had followed all the rules in the welcome booklet on the table. We went and bought a plunger only to discover that all it needed was for the water in the tank to be released. Other than that, we had a great time. I do wish the camper had been a bit closer to the water, but I do understand you have to park it where the hookup is. I will definitely return for another visit, when I'm ready for another camping experience. If you enjoy camping, I do recommend you visit this place on the intercoastal waterway!

Unfortunately disappointed in our stay. We do not complain about things - but had issues
We had several issues and some were never resolved. Was not able to take a shower after the first night. Only was able to get in touch through email - and took forever to respond. I gave my phone number but it was not used to contact us.
