A very recent addition to our rental property collection, is our own Athens family home, located on the main street of the vibrant Kolonaki neighbourhood. It is a spacious (185 sqm) and luminous penthouse, ideal for families or groups of friends.
We have lived in this apartment for almost 30 years, so it is a very special place for our family. Nowadays we live almost year- round in Santorini, and are very happy to have the chance to share our apartment with guests from all over the world. The penthouse is well appointed with great taste and has a lot of natural sunlight which creates a warm ambiance.
It consists of two living rooms, a dining area and an open plan kitchen. The fully equipped kitchen, gives the opportunity to guests, to prepare their own meals. The kitchen also features a Nespresso machine. Furthermore, the apartment offers 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom features a double bed and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom features a double bed and a single bed. The third bedroom features a double bed. Lastly, the apartment offers a second full bathroom and a laundry area.
Kolonaki is one of the nicest and most vibrant neighbourhoods of Athens. Its location is ideal for exploring Athens, either on foot or by Metro. Fashion boutiques, restaurants, cafes, bars, museums, the National Gallery of Art, the National Park, the Presidential Residence (ex Royal Palace), the Parliament, and the Panathenaic Stadium are all in close proximity to the apartment.
The apartment is located very close to the metro station 'Evangelismos' which has a direct metro line from the airport. The airport bus X95 (Direction Syntagma) also stops at 'Evangelismos'. The Acropolis and its new museum are at a 20 minute walk from the house or 2 metro stops away. The famous neighbourhoods of Plaka, Monastiraki and Psiri are also easily accessible either by metro or on foot. In addition, you can catch a bus and explore the beaches of the 60 km Athens riviera or even go further south and visit the impressive cape Sounion where lie the remains of the famous temple of Poseidon, god of the sea. If you have a car the closest parking place is 'Polis Park', which is a 10 minute walk away (15€ per day).

Great apartment in a great location. Walked to restaurants and sights. The hosts were very accommodating and worked around our flight issues. In fact they met us at 2 am to let us in the apartment. I would stay here again and would stay longer next time.

This is an AMAZING property for anyone who wants LOTS of space, convenient to public transportation in a wonderful neighborhood which is very safe & always has people on the street.
The apartment itself has EVERYTHING you need, and as an added plus has one of the most extensive, multi-media libraries that I have ever seen.
Truly one of the best places we have stayed & we look forward to finding their other properties & staying there. The hosts helped arrange a taxi, stayed in constant communication with us, and were so helpful about EVERYTHING.
LOVED IT!

Could not have been more perfect for two couples who wanted to experience the best of Athens.. This lovely, comfortable, super clean apartment in an elevator building is close to everything, easily walkable (Kolonaki is a hilly neighborhood), surrounded by excellent restaurants, coffee shops and small markets. Inside is a lovely open living space with comfortable seating areas. The kitchen is well stocked and the meat, cheese and prepared foods market right next to the apartment makes it easy to stock up! The beds are comfortable and bathrooms spacious. The owners have left behind their amazing collections of books and interesting art, providing a wonderful atmosphere in this very special apartment. Museums and historic sites are nearby, some walkable. Nicholetta was very helpful in making arrangements and has good advice on hand about how to take advantage of this interesting part of town. We have often used this site for selecting homes. This one is really special.

Don’t miss out
This place was everything I could imagine. We had been traveling all around Europe and this was m, by far, the best place we stayed. Dimitrus was over the top accommodating and the house was absolutely amazing. I am already sending my friends and family there when in Athens.

Beautiful apartment
The apartment was perfect for our family. It was really hot in Athens and it was wonderful to stay inside during the hot hours with AC, a fully furnished kitchen and lots and lots of books to read. We felt at home! Our girls especially loved reading the collection of Tintin, Astérix and Lucky Luke in French.
The neighborhood is also great and perfect to discover Athens. It is not touristy but vibrant with very good local restaurants, coffee places and fashion shops.

Amazing Stay in a Gorgeous Kolonaki Home!
Our family spent 2.5 weeks exploring Europe, staying in 6 different rentals, and this Kolonaki Home was easily my favorite! Nicoletta and her husband, Dimitris, were amazing hosts. They went above and beyond in communicating with us before our arrival, and were so gracious to accommodate an unexpected flight delay that meant greeting our family at 5AM. Dimitris acted like it was no big deal and warmly welcomed us to their Athens home when we arrived.
The apartment is very spacious, with two large sitting areas, 3 sizable bedrooms, 2 well equipped bathrooms, along with a lovely kitchen. It’s everything it’s described to be—and more! Every inch of this home is gorgeous, clearly well cared for and thoughtfully curated to be a beautiful, comfortable and welcoming space. After a couple disappointing stays at other rentals before we arrived, it was even more apparent that these hosts have thought of everything! The apartment is well stocked, offering just about anything a traveler might need when living away from home. They even had a printer set up and available for use—such a blessing, with Covid test results and other paperwork we needed for our next destination.
It’s conveniently located in a lovely, upscale area of Athens. Lots of restaurants and shops in the neighborhood around the apartment. It was only about 15 minutes’ walk to arrive at our first ancient site of the day. But if you’d rather taxi or Uber, we didn't wait longer than a couple minutes before one drove up for a quick lift to our restaurant that evening and early morning drive to the docks for a ferry the next day.
Our short stay in Athens was amazing and made even better because of the incredible place where we got to relax and sleep, after a very full 10-hour day exploring the city. After we’d moved on to our next destination, I realized I’d left something at the apartment and needed to have it shipped to our place in krakow, Poland. Dimitris found what I’d left and shipped it back to me, at his own expense. Seriously, I doubt you’ll find better hosts or a more fabulous rental than this Kolonaki Home! Unless it’s one of the several other rentals owned and managed by this wonderful family. I would give this incredible place and it’s amazing hosts 10 stars, if I could!
