Nothing!
The room was filthy. The fan/light in the bathroom is full of dirt and mold. There were cob webs hanging from the light bulbs above the vanity sink. There was old used soap on the ledge in the bathtub. No hair dryer and the front desk did not have a spare. The first room they put us in had a busted bolt on the toilet seat ~ thus it would not stay on. Window sills and baseboards were filthy. There was no ice machine on the property. The fridge in the lobby had an ice maker, however it never had ice. If I could give a negative rating, I would. I will say the beds were clean which was a positive. The women at the front desk indicated the rooms had been refurbished ~ maybe 20 years ago.

Very personable and clean

Friendliness of the staff. Loved that I could go to the store and buy food to heat up there and I didn’t have to eat out. Also enjoyed being able to purchase drinks, snacks and extra amenities.

The price and location. It was very clean but the bed was so hard. You can tell they are updating things and it looks great. Carpet could use a facelift in the rooms. The outside is less than desirable a broom and shaking out rugs ect out side the building would go a long way. The night lady was very friendly.

not a lot of choices

Didn't eat breakfast
The bed was extremely hard and made noise everytime someone moved. The air-conditioned made a loud clunking noise multiple times during the night

Wonderful breakfast, would be helpful to have signs up to identify how the egg cookers worked, and how to not scramble your waffles 😉
The be felt like I was sleeping on a box spring. Room 110

Met our needs for a quick, one night, stay. Mainly chose this location since they allowed pets. Yummy ice cream offered and the staff was very friendly. Pool and hot tub was operational while we were there but we did not use them.
Unfortunately, not all pet owners are responsible and it shows in the smell and look of the place. It definitely needs a remodel. Several long term renters used the parking lot for their evening party.

Nothing. Looked like a place that was occupied by construction workers.
The hotel staff was so sweet and canceled our reservation and we stayed with my niece who lives in Vernal.

The front desk staff was amazing… very friendly and extremely helpful.

The breakfast was similar but better than the breakfast at other hotels where I've stayed in town. The clerks at check-in were great! We were able to check in early, which meant a lot because our friends needed to get ready for our photoshoot and needed a place with mirrors, etc. So that was sincerely appreciated!
My wife had a hard time with the bed being in her opinion so hard. For me it was fine, but she felt it was bad enough that without changing the beds to something softer, or bringing a bed top with us (which, coming in a truck, we could maybe do) we'd have to stay somewhere else next time.

I have to give the Horizon an A+ for effort. The rooms were spotless and the lobby is very quaint. Extra touches in the room regarding the display of towels was noted and appreciated. Free ice cream at check in was a bonus and a clever gimmick. The young lady at the reservations desk was super polite and apologetic about the delay for checking in.
we weren’t able to access one of our rooms until 7:30 because the hotel was short on cleaning staff. Parking lot was pretty grubby which made us feel uncomfortable about leaving our motorcycles out there. (They we’re fine btw and easily monitored from our window.) There weren’t any restaurants in the area so we ordered in Dominos, which worked out fine.

It was nice to have a table and two chairs in the room.
It was not clean. There was a large insect on the carpet and when I looked for other insects I found various trash on the floor and also even one dollar coin. The breakfast was very minimal. There was no water for the coffee machine. Nothing to put on the bread, except a mutual pot of Nutella. The outside door had to remain open because of paint that had to dry. The staf did hardly respond to questions. I could not take a shower because the water was cold, had to wash my hair above the sink and with cold water.

We thought the front desk worker Mckayla(spelling?) was excellent. She was so friendly and professional with a smile on her face. Whenever I saw her, she was busy cleaning, folding laundry. A definite asset
When we got in our room, there was water on the floor by the toilet. Thinking it was no big deal, I put the bath mat there to soak it up. I got up in the middle of the night to use the washroom. I did not turn on the light, but soon realized the toilet seat was wet. Then the dripping on my head started. Turns out there was an issue with the toilet above us. I overheard other customers with issues with their room too. Breakfast could have been better also

Friendly check in. Was clean and they did little finishing touches to make you feel welcome. The continental breakfast offered waffles, fruit and muffins. Simple but sufficient.
Mattresses were very firm.

The staff was the best of the visit. I found them to be helpful.
Rear trash overflowing all over, mentioned to staff. Room was dirty, glass on carpet. Faucet ran rough, duct tape as threshold. Light falling off ceiling. It was less then expected for the price. Even the shower rod installed upside down. Family owned business, they claim to care and want a good rating but don't really want to do the work to get it. Room 228

Front desk check in was super easy and the attendant was so nice. Very personable and we even got a free ice cream! Rooms were older but clean and they were updated as best they could. breakfast buffet has lots of selections and they asked if there was anything else we needed.
They didn’t have an ice machine.. the only ice available was from a fridge in the lobby. There wasn’t any left by the time I got there. But we were there for a softball tournament and they let me use the freezer to freeze my ice packs so that was a plus

The Bed and Breakfast was charming. Love the history regarding the location. Food was fabulous. Care takers were so friendly and welcoming. Great place to stay in Silverton.
Next time I would make sure I got a room with attached bathroom. It was fun sharing a bath one time but next time I would like a dedicated bathroom.
