We loved our short stay at the Castlerosse Park Resort! Wish we could have stayed longer. Killarney is such an amazing place and this was a great location for us with easy access to the town center and the things we wanted to do. The resort is a 10 minute drive from the Gap of Dunhloe and in the other direction a 10 minute drive from the town center. Located right off the Ring of Kerry, the resort is on a beautiful property with views overlooking the mountains. We also really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. Would definitely stay here again for a longer trip in the future!

Location, lovely bright dining room and the views. Pleasant staff.
Dining room service at dinner .
3.5
Plenty of facilities , tennis , kids club.
Service was a bit shabby. We were told we could just walk into the restaurant but then we were told we had to wait for a table with no idea how long . Waiter kept forgetting what we ordered. Food was ordinary but expensive.

The food was lovely. I enjoyed my spa treatments I got it was so relaxing and the hot tub/jacuzzi was lovely and relaxing. Staff was lovely and friendly. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.
Bit too warm in the room but we managed to turn off the heating from the radiators and turn on when needed. There was no bottles of water in room we had to bring in our own bottles of water. .

It's a very good place, but is more for old people, unfortunately nothing activities for young people, even not choice of cocktail, just simple drink's.
The best swimming pool, big one, also jacuzzi.

the view
as soon we arrived we had to wait another hour n half for our room and we’re told to leave. when we got our room it wasn’t what we had booked for 300£! I asked for a mountain view deluxe double room and I got a family room with a view of another room.
I got a shower and the shower leaked all over the floor and the lights flickered which gave me a sore head. The resort was advertised as fishing available and there wasn’t , when we asked staff they said “don’t know”
We then ordered room service for 2 pizzas and 4 glasses of coke and the number to ring room service was incorrect and the receptionist was rude and put us through to the bar , he then took our order for room service and said it’ll be with us in 20 mins. About 10 mins later he rang back and said pizza ready for takeaway , come get it. we said “it was for room service “ and he said “no we don’t do room service “.! even though it is advertised also. The bar gave us 4 bottles of 500ml coke which were Luke warm not refrigerated on a 27 degree day!
We then decided to try swimming as it said it was free for all guests staying. It cost 46Euro after we had finished swimmimg?! which is ridiculous! The swimmimg pool staff where very rude and just stood on there phones and wouldn’t listen to anything you asked or said .
In our room we couldn’t even hear anything due to the sound of banging which sounded like someone using a jack hammer. rooms are not sound proof ( which is also advertised!)
Other guests were also very very rude , just a very posh and snobby hotel. just because we don’t look rich doesn’t mean we can’t afford to stay there. I have more money than everyone who stayed there plus staff. I actually have more money than what the hotel makes! just because I don’t look like it doesn’t mean I should be treat any different! We actually left a day early , 300£ wasted on a very bad hotel

Wonderful location, walkways in and around the national park and on your doorstep. Spacious rooms and lovely breakfast looking out onto the lake.

The staff in the hotel we all most friendly and helpful. We were unable to use the pool/ sauna prior to checkout as my wife was doing the 170k cycle around The Ring of Kerry, however the hotel were most obliging in allowing us to come back that evening and use when SF he was finished, despite us already having checked out. Stated for our dinner after that which was great. Great location as just outside the town. Great walks from the hotel as direct access to Killarney national park via the golf club. The views of the lakes and mountains from the hotel were exceptional. Highly recommended
Had to go home…
