There was plenty of room for our large family of 10. It was a nice and quiet development, also great for the family. Very private, but still close to everything.

House is nice, plenty of room. Hard surface floors throughout almost the entire house prevents issues with mold we’ve had at other ocean city rentals.

Unfortunately, we found the home to be quite dirty and in need of major repairs and updates. Initially we had several issues including electrical problems, clogged sinks and broken furniture. The property manager ultimately was able to fix several of the issues and sent the cleaning crew back out for an additional cleaning. But it was disappointing to have to interrupt our vacation for these problems that should not have been issues to begin with. Also, the property needs just a general update. It's worn and dated. We are frequent visitors to Sunset Island and will stay in the community again - just not in this particular property.

Floors were very dirty, couldn't walk bare foot with out having black feet. Carpets not vacuumed, stains all over. Water damage stains on ceilings the porch was not usable. It was covered with layers of pigeon poop. The upstairs balcony had no roof and only two chairs and was also dirty. The last day we noticed ants coming in from the balcony door. The water hose out side was not working and the garage door would stick when trying to close. Not sure what cleaning company was used but when we first can in and spilled some water on the floor in the kitchen the paper towel we used to clean it was black.

The property is beautiful and it sits inside of Sunset Island so you have private bay side beaches, indoor and outdoor pools as well as clubhouse with gym. House is spacious and has plenty of rooms. This specific property is owned by Vacasa, they have a large number of rentals in OC. The downstairs bedroom can hear EVERYTHING in the house so be careful who takes that room. Also a few of the beds are uncomfortable and need to be upgraded. We didn't bring a hairdryer because one was supposed to be on property. I called the first night and they opened a ticket and the local office was supposed to get back to me. Almost 24 hours later I called again to "update" the ticket. We never received a hairdryer, I know it's a small thing but if it's something you use daily and it's not available it's an inconvenience for how much your paying. Mostly everything was very clean in the house except the tables in the living room area. They have a glass drop in and I don't know if that has every been removed and cleaned. That needs addressed. They have a decent supply of everything you need in the kitchen (plates, silverware, prep dishes, etc.) unfortunately a countertop foreman grill that we were excited to see was there did not work. It kept popping off the gfi outlet. Our code to unlock the front door suddenly stopped working and I was able to call them and they updated quickly while I was on the phone. Luckily I added the app to my phone so I had their contact info easily at hand. The rules at sunset islands is a little overboard. I know rules are in place for a reason but if one staff member does one thing and another does it another way it makes our stay a little hectic trying to figure it out. One life guard said a 17 and 18 year old couldn't supervise a 5 year old but another was fine with it. One more while at the gym a worker of the property came in and told a room full of adults to "stop slamming the free weights because it was upsetting the owners upstairs and they would need to remove the free weights" What?!?!? Overall we enjoyed our stay but doubt we would choose to come back to Sunset islands.

Ladies weekend in Ocean City 2022
Ladies weekend in Ocean City 2022
This home was perfect for our ladies weekend. The townhouse was beautiful and we were very comfortable. We did have an issue with the code to open the front door and the ice maker wasn't working. We called to report our issues and in a few hours Ty came to the house with the new code and provided us with a bag of Ice. The small sleeper sofa in the top floor wasn't very comfortable, so it wasn't used.

Sunset Island is a perfect place to stay. You are close to things, but once you are on the island, you are in another world. Peaceful and enjoyed the walking path around the island. You can walk to the clubhouse for a drink or dinner.

We were able to pickup the B Bus on the corner of 67th Street and take it down to the boardwalk. Worth the $3.00 day pass. It did get packed at times, but it was better than trying to find parking. We used it several times during the weekend.

Hope to get back soon.
