I sat outside with deer surrounding me. I used my phone so little because I was at such peace there. The kitchen has a gas stove so I wanted to do nothing but cook in the kitchen while looking over the wild animals in the yard. I have never felt such peace. I will return when the elk are going through the field. Staying at this home has only reinforced my need to move away from the city.

This place is truly something special. The quiet, outdoor time is just unmatched. Such fun snow play right outside. We loved every second.
This is one of the most well stocked VRBO's we have ever stayed in. These hosts have thoughts of everything.
Leah was incredibly responsive and enjoyable to communicate with.
We can't wait to come back.

A stunning hobby farm tucked away in the foothills. Warm, cosy and beautifully appointed with an actual full kitchen and utensils to match. As an added bonus Christmas decorations were added before our arrival which was a delightful finishing touch.
An amazing host who provided clear instructions for getting to the property, was always responsive to requests, and offered flexibility only really found in those who have lived in the mountains during winter.
If you are anything like us you will leave wishing you had stayed longer.

Elk Valley Retreat was a beautiful, well-appointed, homey gathering place for our family Christmas gathering. So much space and calming mountain views, wildlife crossing the property every evening, a LOT of snow and cold weather combined to make our stay amazingly peaceful.

Great for young family of 4!
We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed every bit. Beautiful property. Owners were very helpful and friendly. Our kids played outside the entire time. My 4 year old loved the disc golf and riding his bike. My wife loved the surrounding area. A little windy and cold, but still amazing!

Peaceful hideaway
This cabin is the perfect place to relax and get away from the west side stress and traffic. Three bedrooms and two full baths, decorated nicely, great beds and a cozy atmosphere plus the kitchen has literally everything! Owners are awesome, thoughtful and quick to reply. We’d like to come back in the summer and fish, and hang out on that covered patio. Lots of deer on the property, and the homestead cabin is cool. We loved it!

“Do you hear that dear?” “What?” “Absolutely nothing.”
The house was perfect, better appointed than any house we’ve stayed in, quietly situated on a large piece of land in a small valley. We were surrounded by deer and elk during our entire stay and we watched the mule deer from the large front window as they came down the hillside every morning. The hosts were great and I’d recommend this property to anyone that wants to be in the country, but not so far out that they can’t dip in for food or supplies with Cle Elum proper just 16 minutes away.

Breathtaking property! Amazing stay!
We decided to escape Seattle over New Year's and seek serenity in the Cascades, celebrating New Year's with our canine companions and friends to have some fun-filled days in the snow—and boy did we ever!
We had so much snow, we had to adjust our travel plans to come a day early. Thank you so much Leah for accomodating us on such short notice and get the house ready for us a day early. Had we stuck to our original travel plans, we would have never made it, as Snoqualmie Pass was closed for the better part of last Thursday.
We ended up spending our entire time around this gorgeous property. We brought snowshoes, sleds, and snow tubes...never have I seen a bunch of middle-aged adults laughing this hard sliding down a hill in over two feet of pristine powder.
The cabin is simply beautiful. An extraordinarily well-stocked kitchen, beautifully decorated rooms (Leah, I just love your artwork all over the house which tells so well the story of your travels) great! matrasses, beautiful lines, and towels. We never wanted for anything.
The property is incredibly easy to get to. The streets were very well plowed and the neighbors took exceptional care of our driveway to make sure we could get in and out with no issues. (all-wheel drive or winter tires a must!)
The instructions for the house and additional information the owners put together are superb, so is the extensive library of videos and games.
We cooked up a storm over 4 gorgeous snow and sun-filled days, even found the trail behind the house, had some lovely evenings in front of the fireplace, and were treated more than once with elk and deer coming by the house.
Thank you for having us, Leah. You guys are amazing hosts. We will for sure be back!

Wildlife galore!
We come to Washington several times a year and have a usual place we stay; it was booked. Luckily we found this sweet little gem. It has everything and no detail is overlooked— including really good/sharp kitchen knives. We loved our stay and we think you will enjoy watching all the deer/elk too. Highly recommend this beautiful ranch home.

Great Get Away
This property was hands down amazing! Located close to Cle-Elum but still in the country. Enjoyed drinking coffee and watching the deer eat apples from the trees in the morning. Disc golf and bocce ball were also a great hit with the kids! With so much room we were able to have a family whiffle ball game which was fun for all. The home was clean, large beds, well stocked and we felt right at home. Don't hesitate to rent this home as it was absolutely amazing. You won't be disappointed.

Ladies Getaway
We LOVED our stay at Elk Valley Retreat! The home was exceptionally clean and we were able to notice a lot of little details were put into making us feel welcome. It was quiet and peaceful, which helped all of us relax. It was a huge blessing to get away from the chaos of life and connect with friends while our husbands took care of the kiddos!

Beautiful home and great hosts! Home was very clean and well decorated. Loved all the comforts in the home. Beautiful linens, all the amenities in the kitchen, not to mention the lovely covered patio. The Valentine treats were a lovely touch. Being there in the wintertime was great. 10 STAR IF I COULD
From the moment we drove down the driveway and saw the property to walking in without even a speck of dust anywhere, and I mean anywhere, in the entire house we knew her in for a great weekend! Luanne, the property manager, was more than accommodating for us! The pass had closed several times when we were supposed to depart and she was more worried about her safety then anything else! A much needed getaway Was completed with the perfect house, property manager and customer service!!

Wonderful Ranch House
We had a wonderful time sledding in the front yard and making snowmen with our toddler! The house is very comfortable and has been tastefully remodeled. The pictures do not do it justice! We enjoyed seeing the horses in the neighbor’s yard, it is a beautiful and secluded location. We will absolutely stay here again!

Relaxing get away, gorgeous views
House was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved our coffee out under the covered deck each morning to enjoy the snowy terrain. Gorgeous open view and very private. WiFi was pretty limited but that was great for us and kept our kids focused on family rather than their phones! Would highly recommend and hope to be back soon!

We had a wonderful New Years celebration here. My 4 year old loved sledding in the front yard and building a snowman. We went snowshoeing/sledding at the end of Teanaway which is a short distance away. We were surprised how beautiful this rental is. Kitchen was enjoyable to cook in and all the rooms are cozy and warm. My wife was overjoyed with all the obvious care and attention to detail that this place had. Private, but close enough to Cle Elum to get things.
