Exceptional in every way. We stayed in the Tindaya room which felt incredibly private and calm, with its own outdoor seating and hammock space for stargazing, lounging, reading a book, etc. We took advantage of the gorgeous views and sunshine on the pool deck to enjoy a vista of the sea, mountains, and desert. The hosts are kind and helpful, and have crafted a truly unique boutique experience. The breakfast is gorgeous with many homemade items, prepared fresh to order including a vibrant juice and beautifully prepared breads. Honestly we couldn't have asked for anything more. It's clear that a great deal of care has gone into this little slice of minimalist luxury, from the comfort of the rooms (large showers, wonderful bed, amazing little soaps and details) to the warm welcome upon arrival. I wouldn't hesitate to return and highly recommend the Alma Calma to anyone visiting Fuerteventura.

Peaceful location, amazing views. Tranquil. Hosts were so helpful and invested in us having a great time, sharing lots of tips. The breakfasts were divine, lots of homemade produce. Felt like we’d been welcomed into someone’s home rather than a “hotel”.

With only 4 rooms we and our fellow travellers were welcomed as house guests. Laura gave us a wonderful breakfast each morning: fruits, eggs , cheese, ham and homemade bread and cakes every day. Laura gave us suggestions of places to go and restaurant recommendations each day , and encouraged us to message if we needed anything at any time. Twice a week Laura and Massimiliano cook for their guests and we enjoyed a relaxed feast together. The view is stunning and the area so quiet that it was difficult not to absorb the Calma. We hope to return!

Fantastic atmosphere and a heaven for nature lovers, away from touristy areas. Laura and Massimiliano were amazing hosts, very warm, friendly and helpful. We felt like home, despite being in vacation. Delicious breakfasts with fresh fruits from the garden, as well as great dinners, everything home made. Beautiful garden and sunset views. Also a great chance to meet like-minded travellers interested in nature and sustainable travel.
Minimalistic architecture is great and stylish but a few more shelves would make it more comfortable, especially for longer stays with more luggage / photography equipment ;-)

From the initial encounter to the final farewell, Laura and her husband could not have been more welcoming. We were provided with excellent local knowledge and the restaurants that Laura booked for us were outstanding.
The hotel is lovely with superb views of the surrounding countryside. Our room was well planned and provided everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent being plentiful and of high quality, including lots of home made produce.
Laura cooked for everyone on our last evening and the food was sublime. A very special place.

Very relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Laura gives daily advice for trips and lunch/diner options. We had diner once in alma calma on christmass eve, it was wonderful. The rooms are beautifully integrated in the landscape. The view from the central breakfast/diner place is stunning. You can ask anything, Laura and Massimo will help you. Breakfast was excellent.

The nomination for the GRINN award 2022 (best sustainable hotel rural) is justified! Perfect hosts who provide a home away from home! Amazing breakfast with cake, omelette, cappuccino,.. Laura also takes your eating habits and allergies into account (vegetarian here) and her one rule is, to ask her anything:) They borrowed us a beach umbrella and beach towels and Laura gives great advice on what places to visit and what restaurants to go to. It’s like staying with friends. The whole place is very ecologically sustainable, which we loved. We also loved their dog Tiki:) 100% recommendation!
It‘s a rural hotel in a mountain village- we loved that but could be difficult for people without a rental car.

Easy to get to after arrival at the airport. Laura and Massimiliano were great and amazing hosts. We were adviced about the best spots around and made such a difference, making this travel even more enjoyable. Alma Calma is a peaceful place, with attention to all details almost feeling like home. Local products are sourced providing a better experience while getting to know a new place.

Laura was an amazing Hostess …. her cooking was wonderful …. great evening meal ….. the wine selection was very well chosen …… the views across an African landscape were special …. incredibly comfortable mattress ….
…. the room was fairly compact …. moving around was tight when the weather wasn’t good …. the bed was practically on the floor so difficult to get out if your limbs are stuff!!!!

An excellent, special and cosy place to stay with Laura & Massimiliano doing their utmost to please you... An ideal location to come to rest and enjoy a delicious meal after exploring the island throughout the day. When we go back to Fuerteventura, we will certainly return to Alma Calma!

More than an hotel, Alma Calma is an experience. Thanks to the friendliness, availability and dedication of the owners Laura and Massimiliano, we had a stay we won't forget. The rooms are superbly equipped and decorated. The homemade breakfast (and dinner if you chose so) is to die for. A gem, located in the heart of moonlike sceneries. Long live Alma Calma.

Everything. We travelled and stayed in a lot of hotels, but Alma Calma was by far the best stay among our travels. The hosts put a lot of love and effort in making our stay as perfect as possible. Great room design (new built, very comfortable beds!), a beautiful garden with delicious fruits we could taste, and a carefully prepared big breakfast with homemade cakes, bread and local products to try. The hosts gave perfect insider tips for hikes, beaches and local restaurants - we made some nice experiences thanks to that!

Hard to pick the best. The decoration is lovely, everything very clean. There’s a clear care about little things that make our stay comfortable.
The view of the stars was breathtaking.
And the breakfast… so good. As if I were at home.
And the staff… ❤️ hard not to want to become their friend. Laura is very warm and sweet. A good talk with lots of good tips for the travelling along the island.
Chico, the cat, basically owns the place but Tiki… the dog, got my heart.
You have to be there to understand this feeling, while surrounded by the mountains and the ocean.
Nothing really.

Laura and Massimiliano were kind, friendly and they will made you feel like at your home. Breakfast is excellent. You will have a perfect tourism guide as an extra and Laura will be like your "nonna".
I've been in many stays during my multiple travels all around the world, but this this was the best by far.
Thanks for everything Laura, you are the best.
Nothing, everything was wonderful
