Loved this place. Excellent communication with the host. Only thing that would have made it better was more snow (can’t fault the host for that though). The ski-in/out condo made it so easy and we were able to come back each day for lunch and return to ski!

This is a beautiful, well decorated unit in a great location. We were disappointed in the cleanliness and even more disappointed when we communicated the issues with the owner and were told the cleaning crew would come back to do a more thorough cleaning and they did not. When we first arrived at the unit, the main door was propped open by the deadbolt, leaving the unit accessible to anyone walking by. We assumed it was left open accidentally by the cleaning crew, and it was more obvious as we looked around that the cleaning was not finished and it gave us an uneasy feeling the rest of our visit, wondering if the sheets had been changed and/or unit was actually cleaned/disinfected. There were dog hairs on the floor and furniture, dog food on the floor in bathroom, coffee grounds still in coffee maker, 1 creamer in dish,
full load of dirty dishes in the dishwasher, fireplace full of ashes and basket for firewood empty (listing says it would be filled). Only one small bar of soap for 2 people for 4 days and one washcloth (plenty of towels). The counters had dried food stuck on and the frig door and handle were filthy. We shared our concerns with the property owner who responded promptly and told us in two different messages the cleaners would be back. They did not come back and we received no follow up. Again this is a beautiful unit and property but we do not feel it was cleaned which just left us feeling uneasy.

Beautiful space and great view! The kitchen is well appointed, they also have some extra toiletries if you forget any basics, and the good stock of firewood was a great bonus. The hosts were very responsive to our questions and got back to us quickly. We'd definitely stay here again!

The layout and decor is the Hygge Suite made our stay very comfortable and we felt right at home. The view of the mountain and the wood fireplace make it hard to leave the room! Everything you need for a great stay is provided. Just be ready to show up, relax, and love the Hygge experience.

The unit is located in a great spot, right next to parking spot and same building as pool/hot tub. Don’t be surprised if your parking space is occupied by folks using the pool…front desk folks cleared that up. Unit was very clean, loved the decor and the main area is bigger than what photos show. The weather was great for us, 13+ inches of fresh snow. Made for great snowboarding and learning to ski lessons. Being located so close, ski in/out was a luxury for us.

Great experience. Host Joanne was spot on with communications. The links in Vrbo messages didn’t work on my iPhone, but we worked around that. Had friends over for dinner one night and they LOVED the place! It was perfect.

Hip, high-quality design esthetic that captures the Hygge experience. You will feel like you are in an Instagram photo while there, and the hosts have thought about everything! Dog bowls and blankets, high chairs, pack n' plays, every kitchen tool you would ever need, coffee machines, espresso machines, games, books, movies--all the amenities of a 4-star hotel and super-responsive hosts! If you're headed to the North Shore you are right next to a ski resort in winter, a drive away from fishing in summer, and steps away from leaf-peeping in a gondola in the fall! We loved it!

From the minute we walked in the door, our family felt comfortable and at home in the Hygee Suite. It was welcoming, cozy, and had all of the necessities that you tend to forget when traveling. It was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated.
The location was perfect for the kids that wanted to hit up the pool every night. When we were not out exploring and hiking the North Shore area we also took advantage of the resort's restaurant, firepits, and bocce ball. We also enjoyed sitting on the back deck and taking in the views and gazing at the stars at night.

The unit was very nice with a well equipped kitchen and all the supplies you’d need. The decor looks just like photos and was really darling and not like anything else we’ve seen in the area. Great location to access ski in and ski out just walk a very short distance around the building to access the trails. It’s also located just above caribou highlands pool. It’s cozy and perfect for two guests.

Stylish way to ski in/out in Lutsen!
The condo is really lovely! The parking spot is right in front of the entryway and the condo is the first unit, so the in and out was super easy. The indoor pool/hot tub and ping pong are right downstairs and we used the facilities frequently - very clean. To get to the runs, you just walk to the other side of the parking lot and away you go! It was our first time in Lutsen and I brought my high school son for a mini spring break. The entire resort was fantastic! We ate at the different restaurants at the resort and tried 3 restaurants off the resort, and all were great in their own ways. The condo is really lovely and very "hygge". The touches throughout the condo felt exactly as the name intends, which is cozy. We didn't use the fireplace but there was wood there to do so. We didn't cook in the kitchen as there were so many restaurants but the unit was well stocked and supplied if we wanted to cook. Bed super comfortable and linens and pillows great. The living room area, or lounge, offers a pull out couch and it was nice as well. We talked to others staying and based on that feedback, I think The Hygge Suite was way nicer than other units. The owners were great to work with and very communicative from initial booking until we checked out. Loved the place and I'm working on a new real estate project and felt really inspired by the name, the vibe and overall furnishings. Thinking of copying you and calling this next project Hygge House. Hej hej!

Beautiful, Cozy Place with Mountain Views
The Hygge Suite was absolutely beautiful from the moment we walked through the door! My husband and I took a summer get away trip up to the north shore following our wedding and could not have found a better place to stay! The owners we so welcoming and communicated with us after we booked and once again the week of our trip. It was my first trip up to the Lutsen Mountains and Grand Marais area and the owners sent a fantastic welcome guide with suggestions for dining, things to-do, and places check out. Great location with beautiful views, clean, and cozy! Definitely will look at doing a trip during the winter time or autumn to see the fall colors next time.
