The location of the hotel, its size and its cosiness were a big plus. The rooms also had very decent luxury bath and care products. My room was very spacious and comfortable.
The price seemed a bit steep. But the facilities were well worth it.

Boutique environment beautifully decorated. Tina was a wonderful host. Sara was a wonderful chef.
Close proximity to a pub

The room was spacious and the stay suite was unbelievably massive. The staff here accommodated to my partner's 30th birthday and they had put balloons and banners up for his birthday which was lovely. The shower experience was unbelievable it was lovely and the bath was massive but also lovely.
There nothing I didn't like

Frokosten var bra, men ikke billig
Dusjen på mitt første rom virket ikke og jeg måtte flytte til et annet rom. Her skled dusjhode stadig nedover stangen. TVn hadde et bra utvalg, men var altfor avansert i bruk.

Good central location, the room was spacious and clean with great amenities and friendly and welcoming staff. 2nd time staying and would stay there again
The blind in bathroom could not close fully and the hot breakfast was overdone (bacon overcooked, eggs over hard and beans overboiled). Next time will book king-size room (as we had before) and large double bed seemed more like a standard double

beautiful decorations well laid out and lovely large rooms
could have done with a proper coffee machine in the room but thats just me being a coffee snob

Staff were very welcoming, room was very clean, in the centre of town near the theatre, which was perfect. Breakfast was excellent and was cooked and served by a very happy, welcoming member of staff.
The mattress was comfortable but felt like it was dipped in the middle, would’ve liked firmer pillows, the room was very hot, but we were able to turn off the radiator and open a window, plus there was a fan if needed, but we couldn’t do this in the bathroom.

We had the choice of this or a characterless chain hotel. This has much more character, was more luxurious and lower cost. And nice staff. Breakfast was good
The ‘character’ is that the hotel is an old prison - in consequence I had a very small window too high to see out. But I sleep with my eyes closed so that was fine

Staff and style of the hotel
The room ground floor next to a busy pub very very loud throughout the night

The location of this hotel is perfect as it is right in the centre of town so I felt safe as a woman travelling alone. The hotel is much more chic than anything else I have tried in Huddersfield and the room was very nice - clean and comfortable, with those little extras like a bathrobe and a fridge bar. The lady at the reception desk was exceptionally helpful and friendly.
The price is quite high for Huddersfield and you have to pay extra for anything but the basic tea-making facilities, even for the flapjack or bottles of water that are temptingly placed next to the teabags, so as to seem part of the package unless you carefully read the price list. Similar hotels elsewhere offer these little extras. I was also surprised that I had to go down to reception to request a hairdryer as I would have expected one to be part of the facilities. However, these are minor gripes as the hotel is really rather nice and I would definitely return there.

We stayed for one night to see a gig at the Parish venue and it was easily walkable from the hotel, as was the train station and the main high street with bars/restaurants. Hotel interiors are very impressive, staff were friendly and helpful, and Molton Brown toiletries were a nice touch. Breakfast was ok, we appreciated hot breakfast options being included.
Our room (superior double) was rather simple and plain compared to the decor of the communal areas. The blind on the window was damaged and wouldn't shut - we told the person at reception and she managed to force it shut while we were out. The shower controls were very stiff to the point we thought they might be broken too.

Lovely hotel, located conveniently in the town centre. Love the ambiance of this hotel.
The only minus was that it was difficult to turn on the shower. However the staff came and sorted the problem out immediately.

My room was huge and very comfortable and all the staff were super helpful. Location is good and the hotel is easy to find. Breakfast was great being pretty much cooked to order.
Would have been nice to have an onsite restaurant for dinner not just breakfast but, I understand this is changing soon so that will resolve that minor point.

From the lovely welcome to the fabulous room. A very comfortable night and will be back again. Great breakfast as well 😋
Restaurant wasn't operating in the evening but there are plans to reopen.

The room we had was of a good size, good choice of room lighting and having the use of a fridge an absolute bonus. Nice quality towels, toiletries and bathrobes. The small breakfast room provided a more than adequate breakfast of which the hot breakfast was cooked fresh to order rather than sitting around for ages. Personally I prefer non pork based bacon & sausages so the hot choice was great for me. Decent selection of small pastries, cereals, cheeses, sliced boiled eggs and chopped fruit also available. It was spotlessly clean and every member of staff we had an interaction with was lovely.
We were in room 106 and the only slight issue was that it backed onto the pub next door so it was a bit noisy prior to closing time. But it’s only a small negative as it didn’t last too long.

Very helpful staff
Poor parking and very uncomfortable bed. Doors in the hallways and bedroom doors slam loudly, which woke me during the night.

Breakfast was lovely.
Upon arrival I was informed I had to pay a £50 ore authorisation amount of £50 for the mini bar. When stating I wasn’t happy paying this I was told it was policy in the t&c when booking. I asked to speak to the manger and was given the phone to talk to the manager Dawid Kaminski. He advised me I couldn’t stay if I didn’t pay the £50, eve. Though I had pre paid. As it was nearly 10pm I was forced into paying this for lack of other options!! I advised the manager I wasn’t happy with this ultimatum, and would mention this in the review to which I was told “if you leave a bad review I will inform booking.com you were misconduct guest”!! As a fully paying guest, I’m not sure how this threat is in any way professional or in line with booking.com procedure!! A very rude and unhelpful man!!
Room was very tired with broken blinds in the bathroom and others that didn’t open in the bedroom, along with peeled off patchy wallpaper in the bedroom. See photos.
Extortionate mini bar prices that I wouldn’t have used even without the forced £50 pre authorisation.
Lady at reception was very pleasant despite her awful manager on the phone and the breakfast was lovely. The only good points to this hotel!!

Stayed here several times and as always, the location and staff were excellent. Nice boutique style hotel.
There were a few issues (shower taps, heating) that were thankfully fixed within minutes of reporting. It's my go-to hotel for Hudds, but it's starting to look a little tired in places... blinds not always working, dust under the bed and under the radiator in the rooms we stayed in.

Receptionist was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and helpful.
Mini bar fridge was noisy and we had to fiddle around with radiators to get room temperature right

Large well appointed suite.
Nice welcome gift.
Great selection of toiletries.
Great decor throughout the hotel.
No thermostat in the room, just old fashioned radiator valves.
Breakfast was quite messy and disorganised, with staff not in uniform.
It's also a halal kitchen so no pork bacon or sausages.

Clean warm and staff literally went out of there way to help
Shower broken
Blinds didn’t close making it hard to change in my room

Location average bad parking facilities choose a hotel that has decent facilities
The misunderstanding with the snacks left out thought complications snacks but some reason a mini bar so charged a ridiculous price for them room was cold heating was turned of in the room as when I asked said its too warm in reception and apparently a halal menu but at 15£ for a breakfast without sausage and bacon no idea shower was impossible to work clearly a over rated hotel with a rude owner on the phone beware guys it's a front and just will get money out of you on the mini bar scam everywhere I have stopped including the briar court hotel have like biscuits and mini snacks complimentary and do full breakfast with free hot drinks for breakfast but that's established enough this place is disgusting 🫣

It was seamless during check-in. Breakfast was 1 out of 3 choices with free flow cereal and bread.
The showers were not easy to switch on. It was so difficult to turn on. If I were alone, I cannot ask anybody for help. They need to change the shower knobs. Horrible!
It was too warm. The heater was so high.
NOT STROLLER AND WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY. There was a door which required you to open it after every 3 steps. The door is very heavy. Also,

I love the aesthetic, the friendliness and how clean the space was.
I found the central heating system
Too hot and there was not much I could do about that. However, it was fantastic nonetheless

Staff were welcoming. Hotel was spotless. However the shower didn’t work. The heating is on all night which made for an uncomfortable sleep

Lovely and warm . Very clean . The gentleman on duty ( Adil I think ) was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble . Excellent service and this really resonates for us .
Our shower controls were a bit stiff

Breakfast a little disappointing, no pork used so no bacon or sausages, all halal.
Otherwise lovely room and very polite staff.

Location was fantastic. The room was actually a suite and was lovely. The complimentary toiletries were top quality. spotlessly clean, bath robes. Great value for money. Staff very helpful too.
No bar but saying that was close enough to the town centre which had plenty.

excellent location and excellent room with branded toiletries. We had a great sleep thanks to the bed.
8.0 / 10.0
Very stylish, clean and spacious room. Shower was great and the bed was comfortable.
The breakfast wasn't great, not a lot of variety. The room was also quite hot, but thankfully a fan had been provided. The mini fridge was also quite loud, but luckily I brought ear plugs so wasn't too much of an issue.

Very gracious staff - always attentive and polite.
The room were very hot, even with the fan provided. Also our shower was difficult to work. We would have appreciated the bar to be open, but the County pub next door was brilliant.
