Very friendly welcome by Josh, and the Alpacas! Amazing location. Lovely starry night skies. Very close to Dartmoor.

The whole experience was great from start to finish. We were made to feel right at home and the our little boys didn’t want to come home! The hamper was a fantastic addition along with the fairy door hunt.
There whole stay was amazing and would recommend to anyone. Only addition we could think of is maybe some wheel barrows or similar to help get at our stuff to the hut :)

The cabin was v well equipped, comfy beds, great shower, everything we needed. Location was outstanding, great for exploring Dartmoor but it's the free range alpacas that steal the show. Sitting on the decking watching them do their thing is so relaxing
, you can buy animal feed for them, they are v friendly . They also have chickens, sheep, guinea pigs and pigs (you can feed them too) Josh and Natalie were great hosts , we purchased a food hamper with the best bacon, sausages, eggs (from their animals) and home-made marmalade . Excellent instructions for checking in too, i cannot recommend this place highly enough. We can't wait to return.

Lovely sharing the field with the alpacas. All very peaceful and secure so children can go off on their own to explore and find the chickens and play area. Thoughtfully equipped. Recommend the well marked circular ‘Ant Trail’ through nature reserves at the end of the lane (also route to the pub and the children’s playground at Chudleigh Knighton). A short drive to Stover Cycle Path - to Bovey Tracey Swimming Pool or to Newton Abbot. Many thanks Josh.
Granddaughter loved the ‘den’, the children’s bed area, under the adult’s - Granny not so keen when it came to bedtime stories!
Understandably you can’t take the car into the field so everything has to be carried in. On arrival, Josh was there to help, but I would have appreciated having access to a wheelbarrow or some such, especially when departing.
With young children, felt 4.00 pm is quite a late check in, and 10.00 checkout is early, especially if there for only a couple of nights as we were.

Our children aged 5 and 2 had a memorable time at this well run alpaca farm. They loved being right amongst the animals and became very attached to them - particularly Jen the hen! We barely drove more than 15 mins yet had a lovely time clambering around Becky Falls, visiting the informative House of Marble and we even booked a swim at the nearby Finlake holiday resort. It was so easy to find off just off the Devon Expressway and the kids are already asking us when we will next be staying!

There is absolutely nothing I can find to criticise or improve this property. It was ab absolutely fantastic short break and we desperately wanted to stay longer but unfortunately had too much to get back to! The children loved the ability to roam safely and interact with the animals. We stayed in the Hen House and, although bijoux, it absolutely met our needs in lots of quirky and unusual ways. The weather was wonderful, so it gave us access to the large verandah on the property. My only suggestion is that in less salubrious weather, the Hen House might be better for a couple, rather than a family of 4.
Absolutely nothing. Josh and Natalie must be commended for developing a haven away from the busyness of life. They were welcoming, helpful, kind and accommodating and we loved the fact that we could roam wherever we wanted and that, on our doorstep, were some fantastic amenities, things to do and places to visit, especially beaches.

This was one of our highlights of our 3-week holiday in Cornwall and Devon. Especially for the kids (the Alpacas and Peter the rabbit are still sorely missed). The Buttercup cottage is small but designed very smart and has everything you need (Shower is an outdoor shower but still very privat). Perfectly located to explore Dartmoor but we also enjoyed staying put for a day. The kids can roam as freely as and with the animals (no cars, very clear terrain, fenced pond, etc.). Josh was always helpful and accommodating.
Highly recommended!!!

Josh and Natalie are so friendly and welcoming. The food hamper was delicious, the bread still warm. Peaceful, beautiful location with stunning views. Accommodation suited the 4 of us - cosy with books and games for the evening. Having the animals on site was wonderful, we woke up to the sweet Alpacas looking in 🙂. The farm is close to so many places to visit: Bovey Tracey village & outdoor lido, Newton Abbott for shops and cafes and just a 20 min drive to Teignmouth on the coast.

It's a totally unique experience that will appeal to those who don't expect to much cosseting & are happy to be self sufficient. It is "glamping" but in your own little lodge with all the facilities you may need. Plenty of wildlife in the area, but to open the blind at the end of the bed first thing to see a buzzard swoop past, or a cheeky alpaca looking in - sublime! Public transport is very possible but not with tiddlers! - for peace & restoration - give it a go!
The roads can be a bit busy, but apart from that, everything was fine & they are lovely people who are the hosts!

Such a lovely magical place to stay with or without kids. Our little hut was so cosy and well equipped.
Hosts are fantastic. Everything was perfect as they have thought of everything.
I can't think of anything except that it rained which was a shame. They had books and games in the hut to keep us busy and we could still watch the animals out of the window so our little boy was very happy.

Josh and Natalie are great hosts and the accommodation is excellent everything h you need for a relaxing stay, The alpacas ducks and chickens are really a bonus to have onsite and it’s awesome to wake up to see them there in the morning.
Excellent accommodation everything you need. Josh and Natalie always on hand to help out with everything. Ordered the hamper which was really good value and the homemade bead bacon eggs and jam all tasted superb.

A unique and wonderful place to spend a few peaceful days, surrounded by glorious Devon countryside. Very friendly and relaxed hosts who went out of their way to make us feel at home. Plenty of furry friends too, alpacas, rabbit and hens all came to say hello.

Had a fantastic little weekend away staying here! It was so quiet and peaceful with lovely accommodating hosts Josh and Natalie. The cabin was perfectly clean and can highly recommend the breakfast hamper so fresh and they're own produce! The outside hot shower was amazing too will be staying again longer next time
