About this house rental
Summary:
13339 - Fore Shore: 5 Min. to Beach Yard w/ Fire Pit!
The Space:
Escape to the sandy shores of Wellfleet this summer and make our Cape House (that comfortably sleeps 7) your Homebase! Hop in the car and set the GPS to Lecount Hollow, White Crest, Maguire Landing, or Breakwater Beaches (both bayside and oceanside beaches-- all within a 7-minute drive!) Pack a picnic lunch and head to the Town Dock to take a leisurely Catboat tour from Postcard Harbors and enjoy a family adventure on the water-- exploring local islands, swimming, and sailing. Alternatively, rent a Canoe, Kayak, or SUP Board from Jack’s Cape Cod and pioneer your owner expedition!
Return to our cottage after a fun-filled day and head into the living room to unwind. Flick on the TV and sink into the large leather couch or soft velvet chairs. Browse the weekly specials at the Bookstore & Restaurant and C-Shore Kitchen + Bar for dinner or head into the kitchen to prep some fresh seafood, burgers, and hot dogs to grill up at home (check out Mac's Market for fresh and local catches). The kitchen is fully stocked with stainless steel appliances, a double sink, dishwasher, and center island (great for eating a quick bite or prepping a large meal). Enjoy a sunset dinner outside on the patio, or gather around the indoor dining table on rainy or brisk nights. After dinner, huddle up around the fire pit to roast some S’mores or pass along some of your favorite camp stories to your kids.
When it’s time to throw in the towel and rest up for the next day-- wander back indoors and crash in one of the three bedrooms. The first two bedrooms are side by side on the 1st-Floor and feature Queen beds, ceiling fans, and closets, and dressers for storage. These rooms share a full bathroom that is just right outside the hall and has a stunning stained glass window and combo tub/shower. Head down the stairs to the final bedroom that holds a Queen bed, a Twin bed, and a dresser. Enjoy private access to a newly renovated Full bathroom with a large combo Jetted Tub and Rain Shower-- just right outside your door! There is also a second living room complete with seating, a coffee table, a TV, and board games. Each bedroom also has a Window A/C to keep you cool even on those super hot Mid-Summer nights!
Other amenities include WiFi, cable TV, dog friendly, washer/dryer, and sheets and bath towels provided for each guest. Additionally, local attractions you won’t want to miss are walking out on the Wellfleet Breakwater, hiking along the boardwalk at the White Cedar Swamp Trail, taking a day trip to meander/shop along Commercial Street in Provincetown, or road-tripping from Eastham to Provincetown to check out the iconic Cape Cod Lighthouses. Last but not least, be sure to check out our favorite eateries like Ceraldi (extravagant 7-course meals), Pearl Restaurant & Bar (distinctive raw bar, salads, and crispy seafood), or the Beachcomber (buzzing beach bar with live music!) What are you waiting for? Opportunities like this do not wash ashore every day-- be sure to reserve your spot today!

We enjoyed our stay. The place was clean, although some towels provided had bleach marks and were stained. I rewashed them and we used them. The property says it is a 5 minute walk to a beach yard, although no one could tell us where or what the beach yard was. We always enjoy our time on the cape and this was a pleasant stay. The people at Del Mar were responsive and helpful. I would use the agency again. They offered to bring us new towels, but we needed them before they got back to us, so we just rewashed the ones that were provided. The owners locked up glasses and nicer towels than the ones provided in a visible area. A suggestion would be to put them in an area that is not so visible. The bed in the basement is not a King bed. It is 2 twin beds pushed together. We will be back to Cape Cod, there is no doubt about that! We may use Del Mar again, and although this was an ok place, we will not return to this house.

When traveling with other couples we always hope for two bedrooms and two separate bathrooms. This home has two bedrooms and a full bath on the first floor, and another bedroom and family room with a connecting bath in the basement. We both had privacy, which was nice. The home is pleasingly decorated and the kitchen is well stocked. We would like to have enjoyed the lovely yard, but the mosquitoes in Wellfleet are notoriously bad, so we had to dash right inside. Our only complaint is that there were few windows that opened with really tight screens. The nights were pleasantly cool, so we wanted to sleep with windows open, but not all windows had tight screens to keep the bugs out. Also, the cleaners had used very strong smelling cleaning products and air fresheners. We would have preferred unscented products.

I loved our home and the coziness . The kitchen that flowed into the main room felt like home. There were ample plates and bowls, quality.. thats the word… the kitchen was quality and the living room chairs were cozy and of good quality…. The back yard although we didn’t use it, we were very aware of the beauty.

We had a great time. Before I booked I questioned if there was air conditioning in all 3 bedrooms, was told yes, but there was no air conditioning in the master bedroom downstairs. It did get hot and uncomfortable. When we used the dryer down there, it was very uncomfortable, so doing laundry was all about timing.

Cute place in a quiet setting with a lovely yard. Beds very comfortable. Many sleeping options; 6 separate beds in all.
There are 2 reasons I did not give this stay 5 stars:
1. The communication from the host (Delmar Properties) is basically non-existent. I reached out via the VRBO app 3 times and never, to this day, received a reply. I left a voice message 2 days prior to arrival with a question and never got a reply. I had to phone them 4 times on the day of arrival because I never received check in information via email, the app, nor text. 2 days into my stay, the company called me on my cell phone to ask if I would be available the following day from 7am-8pm for a refrigerator delivery. This indicated to me that they know how to reach me
2. The yard is lovely and the house is great. There are surrounding places that were very quiet but seemed to have a good amount of junk laying around. Again, lovely quiet stay, but probably good to know before you drive in.
I’m just sorry that the rental company was so difficult to reach prior to my check in, but immediately there when they wanted me to sit at the house for 11 hours waiting for a refrigerator delivery. I will say, when they realized my discomfort with the ask, they decided to have their delivery made when it wouldn’t inconvenience a paying guest.
I loved my stay at the house.

The property worked out well.
We were pleased that it was close to both Provenance Town and nice beaches.
Many of my previous rentals with VERBO, the host left a binder / notes with useful information for the guests. You may want to consider this.
Also there is a problem with the shower hot water faucet that could easily cause someone to be scalded. This shower be checked out right away.

Very clean and looks like they just got new furniture for the living room. The kitchen has everything you need with plenty of plates, glasses (even wine & martini), silverware. The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of seating areas outside with a coy pond and water feature too. Very quiet area and was even visited by wild turkeys. Cannot go wrong with this property. Nice restaurants in the area and near the National Seashore.

We had a very nice weekend trip to the cape. The house is cute, and while a bit small, it had plenty of room for our family.
The location is pretty close to Welfleet and generally convenient to Provincetown and all area sites of note on the northern cape.

This is a lovely cottage that can certainly accommodate a larger family/friends group than my visit (which was just me and a family member). Quiet street but near everything in Wellfleet. The management company team was available 100% of the time for even the smallest question and they checked in frequently to make sure things were going smoothly. Highly recommend and I would definitely return to this property in the future.

Wait, there’s a master suite in the basement? With a jacuzzi? The kitchen is well stocked, the grill out back totally got the job done (ok, getting 2” steaks charred medium rare in the dark does require some skill), and the fire pit is nice. Ok, my dog fell in the lily pond.
All in all, a nice quiet place and also suitable for shucking and grilling.

Fore-Shore is a lovely house, tucked just far enough off Route 6 that we didn't hear traffic, but just minutes from Wellfleet Center and National Seashore and bayside beaches and the rail trail. Very well-equipped kitchen, bright, comfortable, and nicely decorated living space and bedrooms, and a lovely oasis in the backyard including a koi pond and rock gardens. My canine companion felt right at home, as did I. And it was wonderful to see so many restaurants and shops open, welcoming, and thriving, both old favorites like The Bookstore and PB Boulangerie and new ones like The Fox and Crow. Thank you for a much-needed peaceful getaway!

It was comfortable, quiet street and a great location, 5 minutes and you are at Marconi beach, close to town very nice.

Extremely convenient location. My only complaint is the check in and check out times 4pm and 9am. They did agree the day before checkout (after initially declining) to let us leave at 10. 9am is super inconvenient and 10 a stretch imho. Need to hire more staff. Rental rate seemed high for the property but I guess it was at market.

The house is located conveniently to everything you need in Wellfleet. Great beaches, ponds, and eating places. Also, not a bad trip to P-town. Great weather, good times.

We had a lovely week in Wellfleet! The home was just what we wanted for location, outdoor area and a cozy living room/kitchen to all be together while preparing food, eating and after.
