Awesome breakfast and a beautiful main building and a garden!
Room was quite warm.

The breakfast was exceptionally good. Wonderfully tasty local produce.I had porridge heaped with lingonberries, blackcurrants and mixed seeds, topped off with warm apple and ginger sauce. Then, wholesome, locally baked tar bread with beetroot hummus, alonside scrambled and baked eggs with the freshest salad veg and watermelon slices. Then, seared squeaky cheese with cloudberry sauce and locally made herbal tea. Amazing flavours and distinctive local dishes were a hit. Location was lovely and quiet and guests respectful which made for a peaceful night. Room clean.
Room lacked ventilation to the outdoors and was uncomfortably stuffy and stale, in warm, humid conditions. High sill between bedroom and ensuite is a serious trip hazard. Pillow lacked fill and structure. Single curtain on rail in window and rail was in disrepair making it difficult to move and close curtain properly to block out light overnight.

Good location good breakfast
Drain smell in bathroom, starting to look a little tired.

The manor house where breakfast is is absolutely gorgeous as are the grounds. The breakfast was simply amazing with three large tables of standard breakfast fare plus breakfast delicacies like fresh fruit,
chia pudding, ginger cheese shot, and macarons. The staff were also very nice.
Our room was warm and the windows could not be opened. They did have a fan in the room which helped, but openable windows would have helped more.

Very nice and cozy place, old manor! Beautiful place with history! Possible to got a key even after reception closed. Free parking.
Too hot in the room, and not possible to open window

The environment was beautiful, staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was superb.

Excellent breakfast, old time atmosphere. Friendly and helpfull staff.
The room was far too warm, feeled like 25-26 C. It took very long to get it a bit more comfortable. This sounds very strange during these energy saving times.

Lovely atmosphere in a garden setting, easy to walk into town
We are old and had luggage which made our room under the eaves a little hard to access; but on the other hand, we didn't request a ground floor room, so our bad!!

Location was great. The building was beautiful, staff was friendy.
It wold be nice to inform on booking, that restaurant is closed on Mondays? I wouldn't have booked such a distant place, if I knew that.

The breakfast was very different from an American breakfast that we are accustomed. We enjoyed the chance to experience Finnish breads, food and condiments.
We were hoping to see Pilvie, the Sammy dog! My son stayed in 2019 and was able to see her. My grandchildren “fur babies” are two male Sammy dogs. I would have loved to have met her and her new brother.

Big comfortable room, gorgeous area and scenery, lovely staff, food was great and good selection.
The room was quite hot with the heating on, and I wasn't sure if I could do anything about it, I had trouble sleeping

Hotel area looks super nice.
Silent night time in Finland is until seven o'clock in the morning. From 06:20 there was a huge noise in the hotel area caused by snow removal. An unpleasant holiday experience when you don't want to get up at 6:20 in the morning on Saturday. I rate breakfast below average. For the price of the hotel, I would expect more choice.

We got a basic room and it was just fine. The hotel is located in a very pretty green area, a stone's throw away from Kajaani's center.
Keep into account that most rooms are not really sound insulated.

Location, atmosphere and the surroundings were awesome. I like the feeling of the old Manor and the garden. Beautiful also during winter time.
The breakfast was good but they stopped refilling some of the items already one hour before the end of the breakfast time. I understand there were not many people, but still it made me feel a bit disappointed.

Great location. Nostalgic decor and atmosphere. Great breakfast. Parking on site.
Shower and tub mixed together. Quite expensive.
