Overall: the house was well equipped, beautiful, and incredibly spacious (more than the photos led on). The location was secluded yet close to a lot including the casino. The hot tub was the best, and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was probably the best equipped kitchen I’ve seen in a vacation rental with all the gadgets, and extras that you may need to feed a large party.
All that being said, we did have a few hiccups during our stay. Some of the lights downstairs didn’t work properly, which made the part of our group staying down there have to crowd the other rooms when getting ready.
Also, the housekeepers did a fabulous job getting the house ready- but they did overlook something downstairs- there were some chocolates left under the bed or in the closet downstairs that unfortunately my dog found before I did and it caused her to be extremely ill for a full day of our trip.
All that being said, I’m sure this vacation home would more than satisfy any party despite the small lights quirk downstairs. Would definitely book again.

The house was lovely, comfortable and well appointed! Unbelievable view!!
Needed lightbulbs and more importantly needed Vacasa to respond to our request for maintenance. Lights in the downstairs bathroom did not work….no guest access to the garage so we couldn’t test the breaker?? Called Vacasa, was assured someone would call……still waiting for that call after checkout. Homeowner should feel confident that their guests home issues are being addressed since they are paying them to do so with their fees.
*did not reduce my stars for the home but I would definitely lower my rating for Vacasa and will keep that in mind for my future vacation home searches

Summit Escape was a perfect spot for a family gathering. Kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, appliances, & utensils. Clean home with spacious living room and game room. I would suggest bringing a few of your own cleaning supplies (ex: Lysol wipes), but overall it was fairly stocked with necessary items. Would definitely return!

The home was a perfect fit for our the celebration of our granddaughters 3rd birthday. The house was the perfect size, views were beautiful and we all had a fantastic experience.

House was more than we expected. Very clean and had everything we needed for our family. We will definitely be back.

The house was great just a little off the beaten path to get to hikes. We saw wild turkeys in the yard, great views, clean. Need to provide more shampoo and toilet paper

The cabin was beautiful inside and out. Centrally located to some great mountain golf courses. Even the course there, Great Smokey Mountain Country Club was challenging. Friendly staff and we had lunch after our round of golf at the Persimmon Grill. Great views from the deck of the cabin. Had fun playing pool in the lower level. The beds were comfortable and the entire cabin was very clean and well decorated. The outside was beautiful with the Dogwood trees in full bloom and the Rhodendrum starting to bloom too. We plan on coming back, hopefully next year!

The house is wonderful and well stocked. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. It's 20 minutes to the casino, which was our trip's focus. You'll need to drive to the casino but there are plenty of Taxis to get you home. The house has a ring doorbell which is a little strange as a renter from a privacy perspective but that's our only complaint. Great value and would recommend!

The property was everything as described, was a little worried because we had never used Vacasa before and wasn’t sure it was something we could trust, but it turned out great!! The house was beautiful, and plenty of space for our whole crew! We enjoyed our stay and hope to be able to do it again!

Before I leave this review, I want to say that the house is amazing, minus all the issues. IF, and that's a big if with Vacasa...if they were to fix the issues with the home, I would give this place a 6-star review.
But that's where the problems start....
The first issues was the marauding army of bugs. Now, the house is in the mountains, surrounded by woodlands, so there will be some bugs outside, but a swarm of wasps coming from the light fixture, specifically the light fixture in the living room, means that the bugs are inside the house. And when I say swarm, I mean we killed multiple wasps everyday for a 5-day trip. There was also the swarm of fruit flies in the house because either the cleaning service or Vacasa thought it was a genius idea to put real fruit as a decorative piece on the dining room table...and not switch the fruit out! Molded fruit will produce fruit flies, and the molded fruit in the decorative bowl had....I don't know...dozens of fruit flies come out. It got so bad, I had to use the vacuum cleaner to try and kill them before they ruined our Thanksgiving dinner. We had to open all the doors to let some out, and that didn't do much. Mind you, it's 45 degrees outside at 3pm, so it wasn't the most comfortable experience. Now, add in the fact that you have someone in your party with an extreme case of bug phobia and it takes away from the experience you could've had. And you thought that was bad, wait until you get a load of Vacasa and how they responded to all this! So, Vacasa was informed about the bugs, as well as the fireplace on the lower level not working. In reference to the fireplace, the pilot light didn't spark and the gas wasn't flowing through the line, so Vacasa stated that they would send someone to fix it Saturday afternoon, I have the text to prove it. Can you guess when the tech came out to fix the issue with the fireplace? Me neither cause they never came out. As it pertains to Vacasa handling the bugs, they didn't. In fact, when I told then that we've been playing mountain side exterminators for a good portion of our vacation, all they could say was, "sorry for your experience". It was like the BP episode of South Park and the CEO of BP was saying, "We're Sorry", and, "Sorrrry", while he was naked on the bear skin rug!! Then I made the statement about a partial refund because of the wasps and other bugs, and they went radio silent!! Nothing until I reached out about the fireplace.
The sad part is that this home, the location, the sunrises and sunsets...this place is a whole vibe, but Vacasa and their lack of care and willingness to do what's right behind the people using the home is why this review is what it is. And we have thr names of the owners of the home, so it may take me reaching out to them to let them know that Vacasa is ruining the gold mine that their sitting on with that amazing home. It's being mismanaged and it's a shame that I had to go Full Karen because I shouldn't have to with a beautiful home like this. Had it not been for that BOSS MODE hot tube, that INSANE master bathroom, and the living room fireplace that will literally heat the entire house up, as would tell people not to go, just because of Vacasa and their lack of respect for the human beings using the home for vacation.
Vacasa, get your heads out of your ass and do what's right! Stop cutting corners and do your jobs!! Manage this property correctly!!
1. Pest control - ASAP!
2. Lower level fireplace needs a new pilot light and maintenance on the gas line.
3. Did I mention pest control? Let me do it again....PEST CONTROL, PEST CONTROL, PEST CONTROL!!
4. Put your customer first, the property owner. If people don't want to stay there, then you're doing your client a disservice.

This house was amazing! It was very clean and the pictures of the home are very accurate. It smelled so clean when we arrived! It is in a gated community where there are not many homes yet. The house was perfect.
There are a couple of things renters should know. Not a big deal but helpful to know ahead of time. You can not check in early. We got there 1 hour before check I. Noone was there but we could not enter the home until 4pm. Not a big deal but good to know. Bring firewood. There is a fantastic fireplace in the den on the main level. You have to purchase wood for it elsewhere. Not a big deal, but nice to know. Also know there are no spices, oils, sugar, etc in the home. Not a huge deal but nice to know. There were salt and pepper shakers. Check the gas grill tanks when you arrive. We found ours empty and the Vacasa folks delivered a filled one the next day. We didn't get to grill when we wanted to that day but we had plan B for dinner that night. The only reason I am mentioning these things is that is that it is good to know these things ahead.
This home has lots of extras! A bread maker, pizza oven, a waffle maker, crock pots, and lots of great games.
This was a fantastic property! The views are incredible! Beds are comfortable. It was wonderful to bring our dogs. We would absolutely come back!

Couldn’t of asked for a nicer house to have our family vacation. Clean and spacious with a “to die for” view. Our elderly parents found the master bedroom and bath on the main floor very convenient and easy to maneuver in. Huge gourmet kitchen with all the bells and whistles. We were very happy that there were separate temperature controls for the upstairs bedrooms. Beds and chairs were all very comfortable. We would definitely recommend this house.

We love this house, the layout, the view, everything. It was super clean, and check-in and check-out couldn’t be any easier. It’s a quick drive to Cherokee, Maggie Valley, and Bryson City, but it’s well-removed from the crowds that can be there. We can’t wait to come back. Thanks for a great stay!

This is a great cabin - fitted with high end amenities- from the living space, game room, kitchen etc. Linen was plentiful and clean.
The views from here are spectacular. Close to a lot of activities and treks.
The only issue is driving to the cabin in the dark- which can get a bit tricky.
Will definitely come back.
