Home from home

Das Hostel ist super gelegen, zweckmässig eingerichtet und super sauber. Das Frühstück sehr lecker und grosszügig. Seif und sein Team sind unglaublich engagiert, geben sinnvolle Tipps und bieten immer wieder Lösungen an. Sie sind Organisationstalente und vereinfachen dir das Reisen. Herzlichen Dank für alles. Ich komme wieder.

Nice stay

It is a good place to stay with reasonable price, close to bus terminal and daladala, easy to go to shekilango or downtown.

The bathroom is not that clean and no hook to hang bags

Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in Daressalam zu empfehlen

Sehr gute Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber. Er hat uns den Transfer vom Flughafen und zum Bus organisiert. Wir wurden am Abend für ein BBQ eingeladen. Danke dafür! Zimmer sind wie beschrieben gut und sauber mit AC und Moskitonetz.

Frühstück war sehr basic, aber ausreichend. Lage nicht optimal (etwas außerhalb von Stadt und Strand)

Recommend for a short trip

Breakfast was satisfactory. Excellent staffs. Locations was good. Not far from the Morocco station. Walking distance for Shoppers. Excellent hot water when you have electricity. Refrigerator big enough. Staffs were super helpful. I loved breakfast!

Not clean environment. The compound has a carpentery and residuals are piled up where flies and mosquitos grow. Mosquito net is not big enough. A mosque is very close. You cannot sleep well. My health condition got worsened due to sleep depreivation after 7 nights. Usually I am ok with the sound from the mosque, but it was too close.. This area suffers from lack of electricity. If you have an important online meeting, be prepared for non electricity and no wifi moment.

N ice place

Good location, not too busy, but at the same time close to Morocco station where you can get the bus to the city centre. Safe area. Breakfast included. Host is helpful and available. Good wifi, big lockers. The dorm has both aircon and fans, and the temperature is just right (not freezing).

Very nice!

We stayed here 3 times during our time in Tanzania. The hotel is great with a nice patio, very friendly staff and nice rooms with everything you need.

perfekter Einstieg für unseren Tansania Trip

Die Gegend in der sich das Hostel befindet machte einen sehr sicheren Eindruck (da ich das erste mal außerhalb Europas war musste ich das erst verstehen in dem ich mich mal raus getraut habe ;-)). Es gibt einen sehr schönen Innenhof der nach einem Tag im Trubel von Dar zum entspannen einlädt und die Möglichkeit zum connecten mit anderen Reisenden bietet. Die Zimmer sind einfach gehalten aber sehr sauber … wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Host Saiv ist unglaublich Hilfsbereit gewesen und stand uns bei vielen Fragen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Das Frühstück war einfach aber gut und frisch. Auch auf eine Zölliakie Erkrankung wurde eingegangen und sogar extra essen von einem passenden Stand organisiert.

Das Gebäude ist ein wenig hellhörig aber war für uns kein wirkliches Problem

Der Aufenthalt hat uns gut gefallen und der Manager war super nett! Wir können das Hostel nur weiter empfehlen! :)

Der Manager war äußerst freundlich. Er hat uns bei Fragen geholfen und uns viel empfohlen. Unser Bus nach Arsusha ging sehr früh und wir haben dafür eine kleine Lunchtütte erhalten mit Früchten, Toast und Eiern. Sehr sehr nett von ihm.

Another great stay

Room was spacious and all the facilities worked. Quiet location and convenient for public transport. Breakfast of fruit then eggs and bread/butter/jam with hot water for tea/coffee, promptly served.

When we arrive they told us that due to an unforeseen they did not have availability for us for the first night (someone had an acidente the day before so they had to stay an extra night) but found us another option nearby for the first night (worst and more expensive place)

beautiful scenery, stunning mountains lakes and plains visible from the room. me and my wife were blown away. the Mexican was delicious

The manager is a racist!

I booked twice in total, and the check-in experience was very poor. The manager was a racist. He treated guests differently and had a bad service attitude. He booked a room but said that there was no room!

Great place to stay in Dar for a decent price

Amazing staff and excellent breakfast. Clean and tidy rooms. Good WiFi. 5-8 km to shekilonga( bus station for onwards journeys) and city center. Boda boda is available just outside the hostel. Laundry service available too

It was super enjoyable.

I was truly impressed by the attitude of the staff, very polite and helpful. I really enjoyed the hospitality right from booking, to the security personnel upon arrival, at the reception when checking in, during our entire stay,and finally during checkout. Thank you very much.

Well, we were only bothered by flies especially where we were having our breakfast in the morning 😞😞😞😞. Kindly check on that.

Great choice for Dar!

Breakfast is really good, dorms are spacious with big lockers to secure all your staff. Location is pretty good as well in a safe neighborhood. Personal kind and helpful.

The staff was very helpful and kind while we stayed there for two nights. The room and bathroom were clean, breakfast was tasty and the area is very safe to stay and easy accessible to the city centre and to the airport. 200m from the guesthouse you have a tasty Baby Ally restaurant, with tasty food. And when we needed to leave early morning, they prepared a Lunch Box. highly recommend it!

A good experience

Nice place with working wifi (most of the time), good AC and fans in the room, receptionist nice and helpful. Slept in a room with 7 other people, it was my first time sleeping a travellers dormatory but it went well. Heads up to girls travelling alone like me, guys will hit on you- like constantly and it can get quite awkward and uncomfortable especially if u stay in the same room as them. Other than that and the fact that I only slept one night there, it went well, felt safe and comfortable.

No handwash provided to wash hands, don't know why but the location is not on Bolt so it's a bit annoying when you need to return to the place

Another great stay

I have visited before and they remembered me. Two bed room very clean and comfortable. A quiet area so a good sleep. Breakfast of plate of fruit, choice of eggs, break/butter/jam coffee and tea all promptly provided.

No mosquitos in room so did not need the net but did notice a few holes in it which should be fixed for next guests.

1.Every one have own locker 2.Staff is really friendly, willing to guide you to hostel 3.can get EDF machine tax invoice. 4.breakfast included, fruit provides

1.For dormitory, I advise to put at least two chairs inside, when someone, who is stay in upper berth, want to change shoes, without a chair, need to sit on the ground. For me, I think sit on others bed is impolite. 2.I advise to buy a curtain to cover the window nearby the toilet, or not someone like me will disturb when sleeping. When others go to washroom in the late evening, the light is very bright and will wake you up. To be honest, I wake up several times during evening because everyone like to turn on the light. 3.It is better to make a slope or something on upper berth in order to protect the client, in case they fall down from the bed. 4.Breakfast provides hot water, but Insulated kettle is not enough, so need to wait for other finish using and then use. If can provide hot drinking water all the time would be great.
