About this house rental
Come enjoy this unique Lakeview home! Nestled in a private community with 3 private sand beaches, enjoy the mountain views with kayaks included. Immaculate and Impeccably designed to the highest standards, central air, private driveway, fully equipped kitchen, 2 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms it will feel like your own home sweet home! The master suit features sweeping lake views from the comfort of a tempurpedic king bed. Across from the mast suite is the second bedroom with a full and twin bunk bed set. There is also a desk setup as a mini office to work from while looking directly out at the water. On the main level of the home is the 3rd bedroom with a queen bed. There is another office desk set up in the room as well, featuring more lake views while you work. Enjoy the walk out deck that overlooks the lake with a grill and plenty of seating to enjoy the outdoors and soak up the sun at night enjoy an amazing ambiance as the outdoor string lights kick on. Childproof fence at top of decks stairs. There is a large yard with a fire-pit with adirondack chairs to cozy up to, cook up some s'mores for dessert after an appetizing dinner. Out back is a second deck to backyard & kayaks. Sit by the water and enjoy peace & serenity. Great location! This property can comfortably accommodate 8 guests. There is also a queen blow up matters in the upstairs second bedroom closet for 2 additional guests.
Conveniently located via Route 39 just an hour and twenty minutes from NYC. Driveway can fit multiple vehicle's. Plenty of room if you are towing a boat, Jet-skis, quads, RV's or anything at all. One of the kayaks is a two person great if you have children with you so everyone can enjoy the water. You can also take them 1 mile down the road to Candlewood Lake where there is also a boat launch.
In the outdoor storage bin there are 2 beach chairs, a golf chipping mat and net targets, as well as water floats and tubes for the lake. There are more regular folding chairs on the deck. Board games are included as well in the cabinet next to the back door cabinet as you walk in the home.
The living rooms 65 inch television complete with all channels HBO, Showtime, all sports packages and every news outlets you could imagine. The sound bar and subwoofer are great for movie nights. The downstairs office bedroom has a computer monitor included, there is no laptop or desktop included. Alexa included in the main living space.

We had a great stay at the lake house. Beautiful views from the deck and living areas. It was very nice having kayaks, life jackets, chairs and anything else needed to enjoy the lake on site. Our lake access across the street was very small and it was a workout getting the kayaks up the hills and back to the home. There was another beach access a short walk up the road but we mainly stayed at the one closest to the home. Squantz pond was beautiful and relaxing. It was perfect for taking the kids and beginners out to teach them how to kayak. Even on a holiday weekend it didn’t seem overcrowded with boat traffic at all. The house was very clean and had everything needed to cook our meals there. This place is perfect for a nice, relaxing family getaway.

This property was amazing. Im an over packer and thinker. I didnt need half the stuff i brought! It was perfect for my kids and dog! We all loved it. The water was warm the weather was good and the house was perfect. The owners get back to you immediately with any questions. My only regret was not staying longer! Definitely coming back!

We had a lovely weekend stay for a quick family get-away. The main kitchen and living area has spectacular views onto the lake as does the deck where we spent most of our time. The lake is just across the very quiet street. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked, the host super responsive and the rooms very comfortable. We did not use the well equipped basement work-out and additional TV space but it looked great. Easy to get to grocery store, hikes, local attractions but honestly we just loved sitting on the deck reading and playing games (tons of those in the house as well). Very clean as well. Highly recommend and would visit again.

Upon arrival, my friends and I were perplexed to only find 3 bedrooms, despite the listing stating FIVE - this meant we had to share rooms! We informed the property manager, and they thought that maybe when they updated the listing to account for the Murphy bed added to the basement, it may have also changed the bedroom count. We responded that even if that were the case, the bedroom count would be 4 not 5. We were offered an Uber eats gift card for the mistake, which we declined. We asked that the owner be contacted so we could discuss a more reasonable resolution, but the property manager did not follow up with us.
They did manage to change the listing online from FIVE bedrooms to FOUR bedrooms though.
Sidenote: the Murphy bed is situated among workout equipment in the basement and does not meet the standards of a bedroom. It cannot even be fully pulled down as it sits on top of the treadmill and bench press – and there is NO MATTRESS!
The amenities list “hot tub”, yet it was unusable. It’s situated on a steep hill with no entry steps or ladder.
The metal bunkbed was unsafe. The top bunk was missing a bolt on one end and the two bolts used to secure the other end clearly did not belong to this piece of furniture. We pulled the mattresses onto the floor to sleep safely.
A guest that reviewed the property stated that the ground fl bed was “sunk in”. The owner replied saying that they “repaired the bed right away.” The mattress still sunk in, forcing you to sleep in the middle

Property manager was very kind and responsive. Greatly enjoyed the views of the pond and the basement pool and ping pong tables. Great time playing these games with mybson as the weather wasn't conducive for water activities.

Our stay was very comfortable. We weren’t in the house that much because we were out partying and golfing. But it slept comfortably in the house is very well-kept and beautiful.

We enjoyed our stay at this property but to say the least, the pictured on VRBO do not accurately represent the upkeep of the property and its grounds. It is clear that this property is either fairly new and unfinished or going through renovations. The surround sound was not complete making it difficult to use the movie room. Overall, there are multiple things that are either completely different, not there at all, and or not working. Our host was very responsive and kind and the location is beautiful.

Perfect!!! Such a relaxing place. We got to get away from our daily grinds, bring the pup and enjoy Valentine’s Day with a gorgeous snow capped view of the lake and mountains. Can’t wait to visit again sometime after the winter is over.

My friends and I stayed here while we went skiing at Thunder Ridge, which is about 15 minutes from the house. The house had everything we needed. The owner was great with communication. I would recommend for sure!

We enjoyed our stay in this pet-friendly accommodation. The views are spectacular, the kitchen is well-equipped, and the bed was huge and comfortable. We appreciate being able to bring our dogs along. I think that staying in the summer would be even better... it was too cold to take advantage of the kayaks and beach passes. We hope to be back!

We were here with my parents who are in their 80’s so the steps were a little tricky but we were aware of this beforehand. Beautiful home, very clean. A couple of small issues other than downstairs bed being sunk in… other than that we very happy with our accommodations. The master was amazing!

We had a great stay. Beware, lots of steps up to property if that’s an issue for guests. Kitchen could use better silverware and some bowls and the dining table is tiny, only seats four. but other than that, everything was fine for a short stay.

Home was very clean & comfortable. Good amount of space for a group or family.
Fall colors were peak the week we were there and the view was amazing! The deck has nice furniture and enjoyed sitting outside everyday. We didn’t use the kayaks but would be fun next time.
Communication was very good with our host. I suggested more flatware & there were a few maintenance issues, like a creaky sticky door but hopefully that will get fixed before the next travelers. There are quite a few stairs to get inside the home but wasn’t an issue for us. Overall enjoyed our time at this comfortable home. Thank you!

Nice home in a good location by the lake. Used kayaks, swam in the lake and enjoyed nice views from the lovely deck. Small lake access point was a little crowded given its smaller size but that is a minor point on an overall nice stay.

I recently stayed for a week and everything was amazing! Perfect location, beautiful views. Kayaking with my teenage girls was so much fun, we also rented a boat for a day from the marina close by and it was a blast. Can't wait to come back next year or maybe in the winter as I'm sure the views will be breathtaking! The owner is very friendly, thoughtful and truly made our stay special. Highly recommend this property!

Most well appointed house I can recall after many rentals through VRBO. They provide everything you might need. Perfect location. Extremely clean and lots of attention to detail in the decor. Beds very comfortable. Highly recommend if you want a place near Squantz Pond (across the street there is access). Any issues we had were very minor in nature. A great place to come to get away for a couple or a family and perfect location from which to explore Candlewood Lake area.

The house was really beautiful and everything we could have wanted and so very clean. My only concern is that the description did not accurately depict that there are 15+ steps to get into the house wether you use the front door or the back making it non handicapped accessible. Having said that, I should have asked about house access when I only saw the one picture. I assumed there would have been a street level entrance on the other side of the house. We ended up only staying one night as getting me into the house took an hour and was exhausting. ☹️
Otherwise the house was everything I wanted.

The property is on a stunning lake, and the view of it from the porch is incredible. The house itself was very comfy and a great hangout spot, but the highlight of this place is easily the beautiful views and opportunity to go kayaking on the lake. Looking forward to coming back again in the future!

First, great responsiveness from the owner - as I hadn’t paid enough attention to the instructions on how to get in, but that was quickly resolved. Second, super clean, very comfortable, warm (I was there for that frigid Christmas), and spacious with great views! Third, easy to find and close to plenty of places to shop and eat, while being private. Really enjoyed the stay!

The views are spectacular and the near by hikes absolutely rocked. Eric and his team were very responsive with communication and full-filled all our needs. The house was lovely and had everything we needed to visit local family and gather at the house for meals. The kitchen is well equipped, and met all our needs. Plenty of seating to watch some football and gathering on the deck overlooking the water. The bedrooms were nice with comfortable beds. We really enjoyed our stay! Communication with the host was easy and we were very thankful they allowed us an early checkin after a very long 3 days of driving.

Our family stayed for two nights and were very comfortable. The beds were great. I love when hosts spend the extra money on mattress and pillow covers! The sheets and towels were nice too. The kitchen was very well equipped. The deck was the perfect place to warm up in the sun. The view of the waterwas really pretty. We made s’mores one night, too. Eric was a great communicator. Eric made the check in process very easy, and everything was as expected. The lake view from the deck connected to the main room is stunning! We went on a nice hike by Squantz pond just 5 minutes away, used the kayaks on the lake, and went to a local brewery Eric recommended that had live music.
A perfect stay, and a great spot for 4 adults for a quick NYC getaway.
