4 of us rented Bayview Cottage for our annual weekend. It was a cold and rainy drive from Minneapolis and we were delighted to walk in and find the fireplace on--we immediately felt at home. This is a gem of a house with visual delights in every room. Mia and Steve have anticipated every want and need and provided it! We are already planning our return.

We shared a wonderful week with our young adult children in this very comfortable and very clean home. The setting was so beautiful! We all set alarms to enjoy sunrise at the beach and made certain to take a pause in our evening games to see the gorgeous sunset. The hosts were very responsive to questions before our stay. The house was the most well equipped rental we’ve ever stayed in! Every detail and need was anticipated. The host provided an informational binder with so many great resources related to the area. We were sad to leave and look forward to our next stay!

My friends and I had such a great stay at this charming lake house, just steps from the water and a short car ride to restaurants and shops. We loved the whole vibe of the lake house, the big kitchen, the deck, beach, and lawn, and the private dock. It was also great to be right across the road from a great path to the beach, and we also loved kayaking! The hosts were the best ever too. I highly recommend this charming spot... great vibes!

We loved our stay at the lovely cottage house. What other reviewers said hold true - serene, comfortable and well appointed home perfect for a family or anyone looking to get away. Easy access to all the sights! Easy communication... they gave us privacy, but I knew I could contact them if I ever needed anything. Thank you!

The Bayview Cottage on Lake Superior was the perfect place to celebrate girls weekend! From the well stocked kitchen to all the amenities, and large dinning room table to gather around and play games while enjoying great food , drinks, and lively conversation. Mia & Steve thought of everything and the environment and decor created a beach/Lake atmosphere. Agree, the spectacular sunsets did not disappoint!!!

WOW! That’s about all I can say to describe our stay at Bayview Cottage on Park Point! We took our son on a snowy spring break & had the best time! I’ve never missed a place after getting home as much as I do the cottage! The cottage itself is so charming, full of history, warm, fully stocked with everything you could need & has very comfortable beds/linens/towels. Coffee, hot chocolate & tea are provided (which was so nice) plus snacks as well! Everything has been thoroughly thought out to make your stay comfortable & relaxing! The outdoors aspect was stunning, very clean & well decorated and perfect for our 11 year old son to play in all day, even in the blizzards we had! Lol. I can’t imagine how perfect it would be in the summer as well! I was so happy to meet Steve & Mia while we were there! They are the sweetest & made us feel like family. Steve even took my son on a tour of his lighthouse, which was a huge highlight of our trip. I highly recommend the cottage if you’re looking to explore one of the most beautiful areas of the US that I’ve seen & to be hosted by the nicest & most caring hosts I’ve ever encountered! Thank you so much for your gracious & warm hospitality, Steve & Mia! We hope to see you again very soon! The Dions

Look no further, staying here is a slice of Lake Superior paradise. The house is more lovely in person and has the best sunset viewing. Our wedding took place at Park Point Beach House - we booked this property for my (the bride) parents to enjoy with family and friends. They had a magical time & loved every minutes of their stay!
The craftsmanship and decor that Mia and Steve have carefully placed in their home, makes it so welcoming, cozy, and well appointed with every amenity you could imagine. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Mia & Steve - they're communication was prompt, kind, and flexible. We loved working with them and hope to stay again very soon. Thank you!

This was the first time to Duluth and this property was so charming. From the beautiful landscape to the great view of the lake, Mia and Steve have created a gem. We could not have asked for a better location and more hospitable hosts. Mia's talent for decorating and Steve's creativity with the drift wood and photography, made this a wonderful place for all 7 of us adults to relax and enjoy Duluth!
5.0
Steve and Mia are most excellent hosts and their bayside cottage is cozy, comfortable and beautiful inside and out! We enjoyed our 3-night’s stay so much! We were celebrating me and my twin sister’s birthday with family from Amsterdam, Brooklyn NY and the twin cities. We were all impressed with beautiful surroundings. One had only to think of something we needed (like a bandaid), and it would be found in short order. Nine of us fit around the big dining room table for dinner each night. We canoed in the bay. Slept in the hammocks. Sat on the dock to watch the sunset. Sat in the lovely shad garden admiring the driftwood and reading our books. The lift bridge camera was a favorite to view on the big screen TV. We listened to Bob Dylan on the sound bar. The 2 bathrooms came in handy for the 7 of us staying at the cottage. The shower was excellent and there were plenty of towels. My son and his girlfriend joined us directly from camping in Grand Marais and were very thankful for the washer and dryer. Plenty of parking in the driveway or in the street. We spent an afternoon at the beach across the street and even took a walk after dark to hear the waves and view the Big Dipper! It’s was so splendid. Such a special place to gather with our family. Thank you Steve and Mia!

Beautiful cottage and property! The location was amazing for my family. The park across the street. The 7 mile beach access right across the street as well. PLUS the little beach on the property. And all the beach toys available for adults and children. My kiddos had such a wonderful time. Everything is really thought out well with pretty much every amenity available. I will highly recommend this property to anyone, and have done so already. A big thank you to the owners for a great stay, and a very memorable Fathers Day getaway!

Amazing Harbor view
We had an amazing girls' get away at this lovely property. The space was clean, spacious, and had great views out every window; if you were looking out toward the water or to the side lawns. It was the perfect starting point for all of our adventures.
Steve was gracious and gave us a very special tour of his light house. We know that's not gonna happen for all his bookings, so we feel very blessed. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Perfect vacation home for any age
We had 4 adults and one six-year-old stay for a few nights at Bayview Cottage late winter/early spring. The VRBO details were very accurate. The home is cozy yet large, extremely clean yet homey. The bonus room (or "secret" room, as my nephew referred to it), provided endless great for kiddos. The details the owner has thought of are amazing, from sound machines in EACH bedroom to a basket of amenities if you forgot anything, to snacks, coffee, tea, abundant towels and blankets (really, everywhere, and for Minnesota winter, that's so welcome!) to instructions and labels just where you need them. Since we came in winter, we couldn't take advantage of the dock on the property or the park directly across the street, but we'll just plan a summer getaway now! It is truly the perfect location. Just enough away from Canal Park to feel the calm and privacy, but close enough to get to anywhere you'd want to be. The bay sunset views with the fireplace going sitting on the kitchen couch (yes, that's a thing! brilliant!) and Park Point beach directly across the street....perfection.
The only things that could have been better are if the lake ice had melted faster :) and if my husband and I had realized the first night that the master bedroom/bath has a solid door on either side of each slatted door for more privacy. That was probably in the instructions, knowing the owners! :)

Wonderful Family Down Time
We decided to stay in Duluth on our way back from Grand Marais. While the weather was not cooperating with rain/ice/snow, the Cottage was perfect for our family to have nothing but down time to read, talk, cook, play games, etc. There were plenty of room for everyone and the location was close to everything that we typically enjoy doing while in Duluth (canal park, park point, beach across the street, beach/harbor on site, lift bridge, etc.). Our host was very responsive. We are already discussing a trip back this summer and planned many more stays in the future.

Perfect skiing weekend getaway
Our family made a last minute trip to Duluth to hit the slopes of Spirit Mountain! We were so lucky that this property was avaliable. We had ample space to spread out, with our 9 and 11 year old loving the upstairs bedrooms, and appreciated the small details to make our stay perfect (small basket of "in case you forgot it" items, snacks & drinks in fridge, and variety of streaming services). The house was clean, charming, and a perfect distance to downtown Canal Park and Spirit Mountain. We hope to stay here again soon! The owners, Steve and Mia, were easy to reach and so helpful!
