There are few more beautiful settings in Midcoast Maine than the one enjoyed by this oceanfront property on the shores of Mill Cove in Boothbay Harbor. This light-filled coastal escape includes a one-bedroom cottage and a detached studio in a gorgeous dock setting - all just half a mile from the shops, restaurants, and recreational outfitters in the heart of downtown Boothbay Harbor.
As you step inside the main cottage, you'll be greeted by beautiful wood floors, beamed ceilings, and crisp, blue-and-white decor that reflect your nautical surroundings. Windows on three sides of the room bring in views of the ocean, the dock, and the front garden, allowing you to enjoy the setting whether you're playing board games at the coffee table, watching the artfully hidden flatscreen cable TV, preparing meals in the open kitchen, or sitting down to breakfast at the bistro table by the window. Both the living room and the bedroom - just off the kitchen - have glass doors that open to the expansive dock-style deck, where you can grill and dine in the afternoons and sip wine in Adirondack chairs at sunset. Strolling across the deck will lead you to the separate studio, which offers a queen bed and a half-bathroom of its own. Additional amenities include a washer/dryer, free WiFi, and window air conditioning for your ease and convenience.

The views were amazing. The house was great. We didn’t use the studio but what a perfect way for a family or two couples to stay. It was just a brief walk to town. And a short drive for hikes. Couldn’t have stayed anywhere that would have been better

The layout of the two separate spaces was perfect for our annual trip w/ my parents to Boothbay Harbor to visit w/ family out on Southport Is. My only ‘heads up’ is for those who prefer early morning showers: we had to tiptoe thru the room my parents were in to use the shower. But that was very deal able for us. Otherwise: we can’t wait to return again next year. The view, location and overall ambiance suited us all very well. Any questions we had were answered promptly.

We could not open the door -after putting code in we were shocked to go in and finding one bedroom We did not know the bedroom was separate-in a whole different building. Was not noted on our confirmation paper. The place was dirty, crumbs all over the floor.! The TVwas awful. Need to leave written instructions on how to use it.Very surprising that there are no fans infans in both bathroom m

This rental was everything we wanted in a vacation spot. From the view, private dock, plenty of outdoor seating and the location we couldn’t have been happier. This property is very close to town and plenty close by to go see.
Thank you for letting us enjoy this slice of heaven and we’re already talking about coming back to Maine.

Sweethaven was most definitely a sweet haven! Location is amazing, just right up the road from downtown Boothbay Harbor. The views from the home and deck are gorgeous! And you would never know the home is right on the road, very private and quiet. Having the two spaces (main + guesthouse) was perfect for our girls trip. The rooms were huge! We’ve also already googled the mattresses in the home because we had the best night sleep of our lives! Sad to leave and will most definitely be back. Thank you Sweethaven!

I’m not sure how VRBO was in the picture other than to add to our cost. I dealt with Vacasa during the entire experience

We really enjoyed our stay right on the water in Boothbay Harbor. We had a perfect view of the fireworks! The beds were amazing, and everything was well-appointed. Thank you for making our return trip to Boothbay Harbor so enjoyable!

My husband and I were celebrating our 39th anniversary and wanted to enjoy coastal relaxation for the weekend. Sweet Haven exceeded every hope we had and more! Charming gardens, bright, immaculately clean and tastefully decorated inside. Thoughtfully outfitted kitchen with quality cooking equipment etc. Comfortable beds. The decks are beyond glorious. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. But we will certainly be back! Thank you for helping us make our anniversary so memorable.

This place was adorable! It was convenient to Boothbay Harbor yet away from all the tourist traffic. It was very peaceful. We could have spent all of our time sitting on the deck/dock and watching the water - so soothing. We were lucky enough to be there when fireworks were set off in Boothbay Harbor. What a great view sitting in comfortable chairs on the dock. We could see the fireworks and the reflection in the water.

Lovely two house on a wharf rental. Watch the tides come in and out. Short walk or drive to charming town of Boothbay with shops and very good restaurants. Quiet houses and privacy. Great for two couples.

Nice view, attractively furnished, need lighting at the gate.

Separate front and back houses were perfect for us. One bedroom per home, front house has the kitchen and area for extra guests. Super clean and well appointed. Having your own private docks was amazing. Perfect relaxation! Boothbay is a wonderful coastal town with a mix of active fishing and shoreline tourism. Will definitely stay here again when I return to the area.

everything was amazing walkable to town very quite evenings on the deck only thing the property lacks is a shower in the smaller unit

Property beautiful , but if you have an issue don’t expect anyone to get back to you. Also no communication to their staff. Cleaning showed up before 9 on day we were leaving and packing. They thought it was empty.

a 5 rating for the location. Sweethaven was our home base to explore many surrounding places: Bath, Rockland, Pemaquid, Botanical Gardens, etc.
Having the separate sleeping studio was perfect, as we were 2 couples. 4 rating because the inside kitchen did not have a table large enough for 4 people to eat together. and there is only 1 shower. Not a big deal, but sometimes inconvenient.
We loved sitting on the dock watching the eagles soar. :). We were very comfortable there.

A Sweet Retreat
We truly enjoyed our weekend retreat at Sweet Haven. The property is ideally situated in a quiet cove, right around the corner from downtown Boothbay. The two cottages were very clean and comfortable and the details were 1st rate. Definitely a Sweet Retreat!

Great coastal Maine retreat
Sweet haven was the best place for a relaxing, long weekend in coastal Maine. We could walk to everything, and the recommendations left in the cozy cottage were spot on. We would love to visit again!

A Sweet Haven Indeed
These two cottages are in the most ideal of locations. Right on the water with stunning harbor views, it is just a short distance to anywhere you would want to go in the Boothbay Harbor area. The ambiance and details in the cottage are first class and reflect the care the owners took in making sure your stay was perfect in every way. It is a "sweet haven" from the mundane and the ordinary. You will not be disappointed.

Great Harbor Views
Well located and well equipped spot for two couples who know each other or a family. Cool experience living literally on a pier. I rented after their recent opening and they were ironing out some kinks but were quite responsive.
