We had a lovely stay at Mockingbird Perch! The cabin is tucked away from the crowded tourist areas but close enough to still be a short ride to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The views are stunning and we enjoyed quiet mornings with coffee and evenings with bourbon looking out over the Smokey Mountains. The host was very responsive to any questions and everything was as-stated in the listing. The cookware and tableware were all in great shape as well. We would definitely stay there again.

The whole experience was wonderful! My family enjoyed the cabin views and the hot tub!!! I loved all the memories we made!!! Will definitely stay again.

I must say this house was exactly as described and the location for us was phenomenal! It’s a short drive from a few great restaurants and an ice cream shop that was amazing. The trip back into town took no time at all with little to no traffic. The house itself was beautiful and the view was perfect. It sits up on a nice secluded hill that makes you feel like you have your own private piece of the mountain. The house was clean, the beds were nice, and the furniture was perfect for lounging around after a long day of adventure. It will be hard for me to book a different cabin anytime I visit the gatlinburgh area that’s for sure.

The property was very quiet and the balcony view was beautiful. We did lose power due to a storm and they had flashlights. The host was easy and nice to work with. We had a few minor issues from the people that stayed there last but overall it was excellent.

Beautiful cozy cabin with a spectacular view of the Smokey Mountains. Host was so kind and accommodating.

Wonderful stay! Cabin was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We had a wonderful time. We only wish there were a few more towels as there was barely enough for the 6 of us to shower and enjoy the hot tub.

Cabin was clean and well maintained. Pretty much anything you would need was provided. You can tell the owners take care of the property. Communication was excellent, the host was very responsive and provided all of the necessary information before and during our stay. Great views off of the deck, either in the hot tub or by the solo stove. We enjoyed our time at the cabin and we'd gladly stay here again.

Home is very clean and comfortable. Perfect space for the three of us but would have been great for an even bigger group. We cooked in the kitchen every day and found everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and bedrooms were nice-sized. Wish we would have been able to stay longer and enjoy the outdoor spaces. Host communicated well so there were no issues that came up. Grateful for a wonderful stay in the Gatlinburg area.

We are from Louisiana- and this was our first trip to the mountains as a family. We have 2 kids - around 14 years old. We enjoyed this cabin- it was nestled perfectly in the mountains outside of Gatlinburg. It was a quiet and very comfortable cabin. The parking was flat - making it easy to load and unload the car. The porch had everything we wanted - a place to enjoy breakfast and dinner- looking at the mountains and a wonderful hot tub. The inside of the cabin was cozy and just relaxing - everyone had a location to be private or to be together. The cabin is located in a great spot - far enough from the strip of Gatlinburg but close enough to go there quickly. Plus we were not too far from the national forest- which we were able to do everything from tubing in Townsend, to rafting in Hartford, to all the wonderful the hikes - for amateurs. It was the perfect week mountain vacation for the family- one we Will remember forever.

Loved staying at Mockingbird Perch. Very new and clean. Perfect size for four of us. Would be a little cramped with six people but very doable. It was a little far from Gatlinburg if you want to make lots of trips there but very nice for the seclusion.

This was our first family vacation since our son completed his military enlistment and came home. This chalet was an amazing fit for us. First of all, comfy beds!! First time we’ve stayed in a cabin/chalet in Gatlinburg and slept as well, if not better, as we do at home. The chalet is really set up to encourage quality family time with the arcade games to board games provided by them to the hot tub and the fire pit. We spent as much time “at home” as we did in town which was new for us too. It’s far enough from everything to truly feel like your in the mountains and offers easy access to the whole Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area. Finally, Kelley is an absolute pleasure. She sent personalized messages along with instructions. She checked in regularly but not so much that it would have seemed intrusive. She really cares about her occupant’s experience. We decided this our permanent go to when we visit the area!

The cabin was so cozy. It was smaller than I imagined, but was fine since it was just my husband and me. (He's 6'7 so the downstairs shower was a challenge for him.) Cobwebs were on light fixtures and beams, but the reason for my three star rating on cleanliness was there was an earring in the bed. I woke up in the middle of the night with something sticking me and it was an earring. Neither of us have pierced ears, so it made me wonder if the sheets had been changed from previous guests. The rest of the time we slept upstairs. The stairs were a little narrow too. The thermostats are motion sensored so at night while we were sleeping the cabin would get really chilly! We loved the video game table in one of the bedrooms! We played games that were from our childhood!

We came to Gatlinburg for a couples weekend getaway in the mountains & we were not disappointed. We had a great time with a great view and loved sitting around the fire pit to unwind. We were sad to see our trip end!

Kelly was very helpful for this big vacation. She got me connected with a vendor in the area who has romantic decoration packages. The service was amazing. Communication with Kelly was super smooth. The pictures do not do the chalet or view justice. We will definitely be returning.

We were very happy with our stay. The chalet was beautifully decorated and very clean. The Mountain View was gorgeous and the hot tub was easy to use and nice! Be ready to drive up a winding mountain to get there. May want to bring beach towels for the pools and a basketball for the court if you like to shoot for fun. The chalet’s location has a lovely golf course at the bottom of the mountain. Highly recommend!

My two best friends and I rented this cabin for a few days for our girls weekends. It was the perfect cabin! We love that we were each able to have our own rooms with big comfy beds! The inside was clean, cool and comfortable. The view from the balconies was absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed sitting out there every morning and every night, around the fire and in the hot tub. The owners were extremely communicative, checking in with us and making sure we had everything we needed. If we did have a question they were extremely quick to respond. Cell service was hard to come by in the mountains, but the Wi-Fi worked great and we were able to do Wi-Fi calling and messaging without a problem. We also loved that the location was convenient for going to Smoky mountain national Park for hiking or out to Gatlinburg for dinner. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anybody I knew was going to this area!

Perfect Couples Retreat
My husband and I stayed at Mockingbird Perch for our anniversary, our first trip without kids in years. It was absolutely wonderful! The property had everything we needed for our stay. The decor was charming and was very clean and well organized. We really enjoyed the outdoor space and spent a lot of time on the deck around the fire pit enjoying the mountain view. It was a great spot to have a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine. The location was convenient to the national park and downtown Gatlinburg, just a quick 5-10 minute drive. While we did not take advantage of the community pool, it was nice to know that it was available if we chose. We arrived as two tired and worn out parents and left completely relaxed and refreshed!

This property is lovely. It is well appointed and decorated nicely. The beds were comfortable, and the linens and throws were of great quality. They also felt very sturdy, without being overly firm or bulky. (I hate a bed that feels like it might move or crack.) Overall the stay was extremely comfortable. The manager says they change the hot tub water between each guest, and the hot tub was crystal clear and super clean. A large part of why we chose this particular cabin was the Solo Stove and the hanging lights. We LOVED the stove--it was a major bonus. The lights made for great ambiance and were soft without glaring. It was all quite romantic without being cloying, cheesy or overly sweet--great atmosphere for relaxing and chatting for any group (family/couples/friends.)
The drive was easy in a Corolla, paved roads all the way, with enough sightlines to prevent surprises. There are very minimal required stairs-- one king bed is downstairs, and so is the hot tub. The resort cabins were fairly close, but we never felt like they were right upon us, and the privacy was good--I bet it would be even better in summer months. There is a mountain view and I think it would remain even in the summer after leaves filled in.
Now... for the minor downsides... the pictures of the cabin do make it look much more spacious than it is, including the depth of the deck. We did well, but if there had been three couples, it would have been pretty tight--which is ok, just expect it. The kitchen is galley that the fridge juuuust barely opens in--again, ok, but expect it. The only issue around this was the downstairs bathroom. It is tiny and tight--like not quite as much room between the side of the toilet and the sink as a travel pack of Qtips tiny. The showerhead doesn't adjust enough for real coverage--it sort of hits the far wall instead. (I so wished it had been a rainshower for coverage.) As a wish list--we did wish the lights were either on voice, or had downstairs access, and that there was another chair on the upper balcony.
So those are the minor downsides-- but even those were more eyeroll-y than terrible. There were zero major downsides, nothing at all to be a "real" complaint. We loved our trip, and the cabin was a great choice for us. The hosts were SUPER responsive, and very friendly! She even sent me the link to some of the bed linens (I said I loved those linens!)
