Excellent Restaurant and breakfast. Historical centre square in a traditional French town.

Great location. superb restaurant. Excellent staff.
Catching a pair of meth-heads attempting to break into my car has put me off staying in Auxonne again. Bathrooms need modernisation.

Hotel staff couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming. Dinner was excellent, tasty and perfectly cooked and the simple buffet breakfast with local cheeses and ham, pastries and fruit was the perfect start to the day. Located in the centre of the small town we were able to park virtually outside.

Fantastic place, great staff, amazing food. Only problem was the stairs we are getting on a bit and found the twoflights of VERY STEEP stairs just too much.

This is a lovely hotel - the setting is very nice.
Unfortunately we arrived at an 'inconvenient' time and we were left with our bicycles to look after until we could gain access to the secure storage. Just a minor gripe, but it did get us off on wrong footing.

Very pleasant hotel. Good location. Clean comfortable room. Lovely breakfast. Would recommend.
Food in attached restaurant good, though service was really poor for the price. No air con (which we knew - no problem) and so road noise with windows open, but to be expected in middle of a town.

Very nice personell. Small rooms but comfortable beds to sleep in. Just sufficient for a sleepover. But no complaints, really. Super breakfast for cheap. (We were 3 adults with 2 children 15 and 11 and paid 6 Euros for a VERY nice breakfast). Very good restaurant in the evening. Practically no vegetarian options. But for meat eaters: very tasty and almost fancy dishes. Relaxed atmosphere.

Absolutely nothing !!!
Unfortunately I can't give a zero!
This was the WORST choice we have done for our last night of our circuit. The night before we staid at a 2 star hotel that was infinitely better then this one, so called 3 stars.
Everything was disappointing, starting with the reception, to the state of the room and to the parking.
1. Reception:
1.1 There is no reception specific area. You have to do the check-in at the restaurant counter. Moreover, the people that are handling the check-in process are the ones that are serving at the restaurant's tables. We arrived at dinner time, so you can imagine how well the reception was...
1.2 My room was charged from my account before arriving but still they tried to charge me again. Luckily for my that I was not tired enough to not notice..
1.3 If you want breakfast you need to decide upon check-in and of course you have to pay it on the spot...actually here you have to pay everything before hand - the reason they give is that people are leaving in the morning without paying.
1.4 We would have liked to have diner at their restaurant (which, in my opinion is their business focus not the hotel) but we were not received. They said that they are complete even though there were lots of free tables on the inside. I would have liked them to make an effort for the people that are spending the night in their hotel, knowing very well that all the restaurant near by were closed (late hour and/or holiday leave).
2. The room:
2.1 Our room was at the last floor. The access is done via a steep staircase to reach the first floor and from there via a very narrow spiral staircase. If you have luggage better be strong or leave them in your car.
2.2 No air-conditioning. Instead we had a ventilater-tower for moving the warm air around. Even more it was full of dust and very dirty (see pictures below). And to "compensate" for the lack of fresh air the radiator in the bathroom was worm, still functioning from the winter, I guess. There was no way to turn it off.
2.3 Seeing that they can't provide cool air they didn't even bother to put a proper duvet on the bed, instead we had a plain old sheet.
2.4 There is no shower cabin.
2.5 The room was dirty with spiders and webs everywhere.
2.6 There was no way knowing that the goblets in the bathroom were new. No plastic cover, no removable cap, nothing.
2.7 The toiletries were very limited. We had only 1 small plastic container of shower gel / person. So you have to choose if you want to take your shower in the evening OR in the morning. If you ever run out of soap there was a soap bar well position outside of the bathroom window - no idea since when it was there.
2.8 Being at the last floor we had a machine noise, like a compressor or something similar, ALL THE TIME that constantly interrupted our sleep.
3. Parking :
3.1 Be aware that the parking is a street/public one. No security whatsoever.
3.2 If you want to park near the hotel you need to use the time disc. And, depending on the time of the day (except in the evening after 8PM) ou need to update its time every 45 minutes!!! This way they encourage you to leave very early in the morning.
To be honest, after our stay there I started to understand why in the past people left in the morning without paying!!!
In the morning I was hungry, tired and pissed-off, I didn't know how to get out of there fast enough. Luckily for them they charged everything the evening before!

Lovely hotel in a beautiful old town. Friendly staf. Safe bike storage in a locked garage. Really nice room with comfy beds.
Nothing, it was great

Really good breakfast. Staff were accommodating. Bathroom was modern with a great shower. Reasonably priced.
Very noisy location with church bells, noisy cleaning lorry and shouting in the street during the night. Beds were too firm for me. Room was quite small.

central location in a quiet town a few km off the autoroute. 3 star and perfectly adequate, spacious rooms and bathroom, decent shower, comfortable bed. The hotel restaurant was better than I expected from reading Google reviews,
parking is in the street, some free some paid, seems plentiful but not under the control of the hotel

Last stayed here 10 or 11 years ago. Still excellent. Dinner amazing, breakfast very good. All the staff extremely helpful and friendly.
Had an email saying my sister and I had rooms together but mine was on the first floor and hers on the second.

Small hotel situated in the very heart of town. No private parking but plenty of parking on the street outside. The room was comfortable and clean. The real surprise and bonus was the restaurant downstairs in the hotel. The food was absolutely first class and probably the best we had on our trip through France into Italy. Auxonne is just 10/15 minutes off the motorway and the overall price/quality of the hotel and restaurant justifies coming a few miles off the motorway.
Nothing to dislike - other than it rained a little the day we arrived!!

Super restaurant and food. Very friendly and welcoming staff.
Slightly odd breakfast menu.

Lovely yet simple town. Hotel is great stopover en route to Alps. The restaurant downstairs is quite culinary and excellent cooking quality.
