Stille og rolig
Deilig mat

It’s a very cute stay and in very good condition. We like our stay very much. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommended place to stay for a night.
The location is next to the road and far from any thing to do or to see. It’s a one night stay. The capacity in the restaurant (4 tables) is small for every customer on the park who wants to have diner in the restaurant. We had a diner with only main menu and were able to eat for 45 minutes before the next customers were already waiting for our table.
The nearest supermarket is 10 minutes away (closes at 6 pm) and restaurants are 20 minutes away.

Very cosy and beautifully decorated cabin. Wonderful view to the lake and the mountains. Friendly staff. Main building also cosy and showers recently renovated.
The cabin was a bit far from the toilets and showers (but the view made up for it). The area behind the cabins was under construction (I assume to make more toilets and showers closer to the cabins). The road goes just under the cabins.

These are beautiful Norwegian cabins that are over 150 years old. It honestly feels like stepping into history. One of the people in my party stated that he got the best sleep during his vacation while he in the cabin. It was a great "camping" experience.
The cabin overlooks a wonderful lakeside view. It truly is gorgeous. Because you are in the woods, everything is quiet and serene.
The staff was also very accommodating. We had a later-than-usual arrival, and they called ahead to make sure we were on our way and that everything was going smoothly. Because of the facilities, they stuck around to make sure we got to our cabin just fine and showed us around, even though it was very late!
The accommodations are rustic, especially the bathroom situation. We were on a cabin on the hilly part of the site, so we had an outhouse for all bathroom-related activities. All the showers and toilets were in the main lodge, which was at the foot of the hill, which meant that you had to walk up and down if you wanted to use those.

We stayed in one of the small huts. It was a cold night, but all cozy. Very nice interior, beds, bedding and the sitting area to view the river.
Food!!! We had an amazing dinner, eat there! The owner was very nice and and you felt welcomed.
As it’s not a bathroom in the hut (no issue) we only missed a water bottle to bring to the house. It could also benefit some hooks for clothes on the walls.

Cool quirky spotless accommodations- I was in a tent with fantastic views… everything was new. The showers and toilets are new and spotless. The site staff are fantastic and it was right on my touring route
The toilets and showers are too far away from the tents and cabins. It’s a pain at night having to go that far

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Reinheimen Lodge. Despite its age and rustic charm, the historic wooden house offered a unique and immersive experience that allowed me to step back in time and appreciate the traditional Norwegian living style of over 150 years ago.
The lack of modern amenities such as water, toilet, and shower inside the house may not be for everyone, but for those seeking an authentic and nostalgic experience, it was truly remarkable. The absence of these conveniences was easily overlooked when I discovered the treasures within the lodge. The old fireplace became the centerpiece of warmth and coziness, creating a captivating ambiance that transported me to a bygone era. The antique furniture added to the charm, evoking a sense of nostalgia and showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Norway.
Reinheimen Lodge felt like a living museum, allowing me to immerse myself in the history and traditions of the region. It was a truly unique opportunity to disconnect from the modern world and appreciate the simplicity and beauty of the past.
I would highly recommend Reinheimen Lodge to those who are adventurous and open to experiencing a 100+ years old Norwegian living style. It offers an extraordinary chance to embrace history, ignite the imagination, and create lasting memories in an enchanting setting.
While my stay at Reinheimen Lodge was a fascinating and nostalgic experience, there were a few aspects that some guests might find challenging. Firstly, the absence of water, toilet, and shower inside the house could be inconvenient for those accustomed to modern amenities. It required adjusting to a more traditional way of living and required trips to an external facility for these necessities.
Additionally, the age of the wooden house brought with it some limitations. The structure's historical significance and antique charm also meant that it lacked certain modern comforts. The creaky floors and occasional drafts added to the authenticity but could be bothersome for those seeking a more polished and contemporary accommodation.
It's important to note that staying at Reinheimen Lodge requires an appreciation for rustic living and an understanding of the historical context. While the lodge offers a unique and immersive experience, it may not cater to those who prefer modern conveniences and a more conventional stay.

Good dinner and breakfast, clean
Cabin to far away from bathroom, cabin had potential dangerous gas heating, limited electricity, no wifi
4.1
Staff was very helpful
First, it is not transparent and obvious on Booking.com that there is shared bathroom. It is stated in the facilities part which is very difficult to find. 1 bathroom for 4 double rooms and 1 bathroom for all the outside located houses. So no acceptable facilities. Noisy and smell from the kitchen. No proper parking for motorbikes

thanks to them
the toilet was far

very good breakfast and nice staff. clean, cozy and modern
I did not get the arctic dome tent, that was shown during booking, but was offered to choose between a glamping tent and private cabin. As I wanted to work with a computer, it was a drawback, that the cabin (tent too) did not offer normal electricity suitable for laptops, but were just fed by a solar panel suitable at max for phone charging. So its even not possible, to use a hairdryer / smoothly mixer or other electric equipment directly at the cabin, but one needs to go down into the main building and the shared rooms.

Beautiful settings in isolated location
Bathroom very clean but outside the room

A lovely room with a beautiful view on the lake and mountains. Cosy, homely and very clean.

The staff was absolutely wonderful. Constantly smiling, helping us and also surprised me for my birthday! We lived in the tent for glamping and loved it. Comfortable and still close to the nature. We had breakfast and dinner at Reinheimen lodge and it was really delicious. Truly, a great stay, we didn't want to leave!
The only thing is that the tent gets really warm during the day, but when the weather was nice we were out exploring anyway. The temperature during the night was good.

The double rooms looked good in the pictures and were quite nice in reality too. Clean rooms an bathroom. The bed was comfortable. Reasonably priced and pleasant staff. The cool artic domes (tents) outside looked kind of cool and I envied those couples on the inside.... Maybe a place to take your sweetheart?

Amazing staff, extremely comfy bed, lots of pillows, great views and amazing dinner and breakfast. Just take it all! Facilities were also great and it was easy to find and had a great view over the lake

An awesome and once in a life time experience to stay overnight in an Arctic Iglo in the middle of naturee. We enjoyed the homecooked meal based on local ingredients such as Moose and Reindeer etc, Way to go! The little restaurant room was original old-school Norwegian, which was lovely. The hostess (owner?) was very friendly and helpful and made sure everything worked fine for us.
Having the need of sharing toilet/bathroom faciities with other guests in the main building - but it is necessary as you cannot have private bath/toilet in an iglo... It worked out fine as we were very few guestss only, but when the lodge fill up with guests in all igloos/cabins and rooms, 3 toilets/showers to share may give some problems...

Thank you Blanca for your smile, your love, just being the person you are. We had a great time in the iglo tent. And it was in the middle of the winter, so we had a tent in the snow and were the only one on the camping! The showers were perfect, so so very clean and also the tent was so cosy and clean. Wonderful!

The facility is great! There is one open point that I would like to share. It says private bathroom in the room during your booking but there is no private bathroom in any of the rooms. There is only one bathroom and another bathroom with a shower. The facility is small and we were there out of season so there was no one else who use the bathroom and shower. It became our private bathroom by chance but actually, it isn`t. If you see a private bathroom in the definition, it is a misleading label.
4.1
The couple that owns and manages the lodge are extremely friendly, food was great, both dome and cabin were clean and beds were comfortable. Great intimate service.
4.1
We chose the dome tent for our stay and it was very spacious and cozy. The main house had an old fashioned Norwegian cabin feel, while the facilities were very modern.
4.1
Wonderful place! Staff is so nice and kind, we can use kitchen and make breakfast ourself and it was very nice and helpful. Beautiful and very stylish room with perfect view on the lake. Bathrom and toalet was one for 4 rooms, but it wasn't problem. It was very clean everywere.
4.1
Great location, great facilities, but above all great service! The woman who ran the place tended to our every need, and was always available for questions or if we had any requests. We really felt taken care of.
The wi-fi didnt really work at our lodge.
4.1
The place was wonderful for a one night stay or just a sleepover for roaming around the national park that surrounds it. I was a bit worried about the shared bathroom, but it was so close, clean and shared only with one other room that it was no issue at all.
4.1
The cabins are really nice and cozy with a great view over the lake.
there is a parking at the entrance to the cabins.
The food at the restaurant is really tasty.
There are no showers inside the cabins, and we didn't see it in the description.
The food at the restaurant is very expensive even though it is really tasty.
The sauna costs more money.
4.1
Very charateristic structure, with the possibility to book exclusive choices as the artic dome, a very wonderful place where to sleep and to see the stars

Take your blankets with you, it is going to be a cold night for you!

We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the staff were so wonderful, they made us feel so special. The tent is very romantic. A place we will take in our heart.
4.1
Very clean, cosy style, quiet, friendly staff, great shower. Did not try the food, but menu was broad so should be something for everyone. Vacum toilet makes a lot of noise when flush, could here the pump - slwpt in the room next door to shared (very clean) bathroom inside the house. i can imagine the cabins and the iglo tents are quiet!
Missing or broken kitchen ventilation made the whole place smell of fried oil when cooking, if this is fixed I would not hesitate to recommend the place. Going back soon!

Staff is very kind. Cottage was cosy and quiet.
WC only available in the main house.
4.1
We loved the room! The wooden perfume and the big window in front of the bed made our stay very cozy and relaxing. When you lay in bed you can see the lake in front, which is wonderful!
The staff is super nice and welcoming, ready to help you with anything.
Everything is extremely clean, including all bathrooms.
Last but not least, the food is really good, both dinner and breakfast.
It could have been helpful to have a couple more hookers in the room, we just had one.
The idea of looking at the landscape in front of you is very romantic, so it could be nice to create a bit more privacy in front of the cabins next to the parking lot.
