Nice home located in a nice quiet neighborhood. Convenient location to local golf courses, restuarants and only 20 minutes to the airport. The four bedrooms and three baths were perfect for four guys. We would definitely stay there again the next time we came to play golf in Birmingham.

This home is wonderful for family get-togethers! The neighborhood is quiet and extremely peaceful ~ coffee on the back deck with the sounds of the birds cannot be adequately described. The home has everything you need to bake or cook as well. An all-around wonderful destination.

First time VRBO customerWe were pleased with all that was available for us to use.Spices all utensils. Laundry facilities coffee extra towels and blankets to name a few. The one problem was the heating was set to 62 so the air was downright freezing and I couldn't higher it.
All was worth it to have the whole family together

Our family enjoyed this home and it was a great layout for us and my mom who is getting around ok, but the ramp and main level bedroom was helpful. The floors are quite squeaky so for the early risers trying to be quiet it was a challenge. The house is so well stocked and comfortable though. It really had everything we needed for a great time with family in Birmingham. Also a bonus was the quiet neighborhood for long walks!

While the home was large and in a nice neighborhood and location, it’s dated beyond belief and needs work.
We awoke to 58 degrees even though the heat was set to 72. Owner had someone there by 10am, but the first 10 hours in the property were brutal.
Safety concerns: there is one smoke detector in the home and it’s on a pull down attic stair. It’s not wired and it looks as old as the home. Many of the windows do not lock. The back door of the home is accessible by ramp that is very slippery when wet. The light bulb at the backdoor is out and the yard is very dark. It’s hard to locate the lock to enter the property when you can’t see. The toaster is very old, cracked and seems like it could start on fire.
Convenience concerns: There was ONE TV! For a home that size with a family, there was only one tv and it had terrible picture quality. Many light bulbs in the house are burned out. (3 in master bath/closet alone) The towels have to be from the 80s or before. (Fingertip sized with fringe the give-away). Many are discolored and very thin. The sheets my are of poor quality and in some cases, the wrong size for the bed (queen size on a full). The furniture in one bedroom consisted of a sewing machine cabinet and console record player … not a dresser as one would expect. There is a piano in the home but it, like everything else, has been woefully cared for. It’s terribly out of tune and the sound quality has deteriorated with lack of regular use. (We have spent many years as professional musicians)
Three different times during our stay we had large cockroaches run across our hands or feet: twice in the kitchen and once while pulling clothes out of a bedroom dresser.
Summary - this appears to have been someone’s parents’ home and was left exactly in the same state as it was in the 70s/80s. The furnishings and decor are old. It needs lots of attention! It could be a great place, but right now it isn’t.

Wonderful stay.
It is a great house with every convenience. My son got married and we needed space. This house has it in abundance. We spent most of our time on the back deck. It's woodsy enough you forget your in a subdivision. Would definitely recommend.

Everything we wanted
We visited the area for a wedding. Plenty of room for our family. Lots of space to relax including a spacious backyard deck. This was a very quiet neighborhood and conveniently located.

Plenty of room and great location
We stayed in the home for three weeks while we were in between moves. We are two adults, 4 teens and a dog. The house provided plenty of room for us to spread out and not feel like we were right on top of each other. The owner responded to our questions and was a gracious host.

Home away from home
Tons of space, very welcoming place to stay. Has awesome access to city while still tucked away nicely into a quiet neighborhood. Owner was good to work with. Highly recommend.

Great location, perfect for our needs!
Had a group of friends meeting in Bham to ride Mt. Bikes at Oak Mountain. House was perfect and good price for us to all stay there. Plenty of space and the garage was nice to put all the bikes after the rides. Also, the house was close to the summit area and all the food and such. Had a great time at Top Golf one evening also since it is relatively close. đź‘Ť
