Thanks for having us stay in your cottage we had a lovely time x
Thank you for providing the wood for the fire it provided some lovely warmth and ambience in the evenings
We just thought we’d mention that we found there were a lot of spider webs around and on pack up this morning we found some spiders in our clothes. It might be worth giving the cottage a spray before your next guests.
I also noticed that an additional $150 had been taken out of my account, I’m just wondering what this was for?

Our host, Sue, was very friendly and helpful and had the cottage warmed for our arrival. A lot of effort has gone into giving the cottage an authentic feel.
The property is managed via an agent which created some confusion. Greater transparency would have been appreciated.

The location of the cottage was perfect. Bathroom and shower were clean and fabulous, the beds were very comy.
The cooking facilities were a little disappointing. Note the frypan under the sink is dirty and rusting, and to reach the hotplates on top of the oven is dangerous to use if you are a little on the shortside.
There was rubbish under the beds in the twin room.
We had to clean out the woodheater before using it as it had a deep layer of ashes, and the crack in the glass of the door and the fact the door doesn't lock properly is also dangerous for people who aren't used to using woodheaters.

Quaint little cottage and styled to match the period it was built in. The wood fire was lovely to watch at night and kept you toasty warm.
24" TV was a little small for my eyesight. But we didn't watch a lot of TV so it's was no big deal.

Enjoyed the eggs in particular.
Single bed not so comfortable as main.

2nd bedroom was very small for 2 adults, but also was part if the charm.

The host- Sue, location, surrounds and garden, supply of wood daily for the wood fire and garden produce- oranges, herbs
Electric blankets as its so cold here in winter, fresh eggs, awesome hot water in the shower
A few more utensils may help those cooking/preparing food especially sharp knives
4.5
Well equipped, cosy, everything was very old fashioned, amazing staff!! A special mention to the chickens who my toddler loved!
I didn’t mind as I liked the hosts but I think it should be mentioned that the backyard is shared and there is no privacy outside. Not really toddler friendly (cleaners and knives accessible)- luckily mine took no interest!

Too warm. The air con couldn't cool all of the rooms. The hotplates didn't work.

The cottage was well presented, with period furnishings/decorations. Hosts were friendly and kids enjoyed feeding the chooks. Would recommend to families looking to stay in Burra
Didn't receive invoice or check-in details through Booking.com this needs to be sorted out as a priority for future travellers

This B & B was really comfortable. The decor reflected the historic charm of the cottage which had all necessary amenities. Breakfast provisions included fresh free-range eggs from the chooks next door. Plenty of tea, coffee, milk etc was also provided. Our host greeted us with the key as arranged, and she was friendly and helpful - a great 'neighbour'. The cottage is located perfectly for both exploring Burra and for accessing the wider region.
There was nothing to dislike about this accommodation.
4.5
The cottage was charming, warm and cosy with the fire and AC. It had a lovely outlook over the garden. The provisions were a nice touch especially the eggs and being able to pick fresh produce from the garden.
The stove was a little confusing to operate at first.

The cottage is very lovely & comfortable and it was nice to have the fresh eggs for breakfast.
