Convenient to the train station, and just outside the walled city

The location of the room was great, as we were close to the train station (1/2 mile), and just outside the walled city. There was a coffee shop a few doors down. When we arrived, the room was not ready, and an employee held our luggage for us and placed it in our room when it had been cleaned.

Unfortunately, we had not paid for our room when we booked it, and no one was available when we were ready to check out the next morning. Since our train was delayed, we were able to return to Dimora Altemura and a staff member was present, so we were able to pay and it wasn't an issue.

Would definitely stay again. I asked if I could check out an hour later than usual because I wanted to do the park run a

Lovely old building, room spacious with high ceiling, shower excellent and everything was clean , with built in wardrobe with fridge

Property was only a 5 min walk to the entrance to the walled Lucca , really good location

Dimora favolosa

Ho soggiornato in questa struttura dal 19 al 21 Agosto, con la mia famiglia. La posizione è ottima, dalla stazione dei treni dista 4mn e dal centro storico poco più di 10 mn. La struttura molto accogliente e pulita, così come la stanza piena di tante accortezze (caramelle, acqua e set di cortesia). Insomma non mancava niente. Proprietaria e staff gentilissimi. Che dire di più? Ci torneremo sicuramente!

Fijne kamer dicht bij station Lucca en het centrum van Lucca

Wij verbleven een dagje in Lucca en waren opzoek naar een locatie bij het centrum, maar er niet in aangezien we met de auto waren. De kamer ligt op een kleine 10 minuten wandelen van hartje centrum en een parkeerterrein om te hoek (10€ per dag). De kamer is voorzien van de typische Italiaanse inrichting die je vrijwel overal tegenkomt. Er stond een flesje water voor ons klaar en het inchecken ging eigenlijk redelijk vlot. De kamer was schoon met een comfortabel bed. Op ons vertrek kwamen we de eigenaar tegen die ons nog vriendelijk een koffietje wilde aanbieden.

Paar opmerkingen die wellicht beter konden. Persoonlijk ontvangst voelt toch altijd net iets fijner. Zeker bij het afrekenen van toeristen belasting is het achterlaten van geld op het nachtkastje wat apart. De douche bak maakte wat geluid waardoor hij onstevig aanvoelt. Tot slot zijn de kamers redelijk gehorig. Wij hadden geen last van buren in de nacht, maar in de ochtend hoorden we de buren wel douche. Let daar op als je een lichte slaper bent. Er liggen wel oordopjes op het nachtkastje. Blijkbaar zijn er eerder klachten geweest en is dat wel verholpen zover als ze konden! Wat opzich wel een compliment verdient!

Great place.

Great location near station and near city wall. Room was very well equipped and lots of hot drink options and a fridge. We were able to drop our bags in early and look around Lucca, a lovely city. Very friendly welcome and lots of communication beforehand with good tips of places to visit.

There was some noise from outside. However, ear plugs did the trick and slept fine.

La ubicación y la comunicación con la anfitriona que es muy amable. cama cómoda. Fácil de aparcar en las inmediaciones. A 15 minutos del centro caminando

Por poner un pero que no hay ascensor y sabes a un segundo piso.

Exactly what we had hoped for.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lucca. The room was very close to the train station and straight across the road from the wall and historic city. Catarina was friendly and helpful with some awesome restaurant recommendations.

The bed and especially the pillows could be more comfortable.

Fantastic host and location - would recommend!

Host was amazing, fantastic communication, easy check in/out. Provided us with a kettle and navigated us with the local squares/sight seeing. Location is fantastic - 3 minute walk to the train station and 10 minutes to Lucca centre. Discount available for various restaurants. Extremely clean and snack boxes available in the room after a long day Gorgeous terrace out the back / little sun trap

Next time we visit Lucca we will 100% be staying here.

Brilliant location for us just near train station and slightly outside the walls of the town. Beautiful view of the town. Room was perfectly planned out for travelling mini fridge, table and chairs, even a microwave, breakfast wasn’t available but a free snack box provided was more than enough, take note of Caterina’s reviews on local restaurants we ate really well (local fare), thanks to her advice. Cannot fault our stay we loved it.

Perfect spot for spending time inside the walls of Lucca - convenient, clean and comfortable!

Caterina was very helpful, suggesting places to eat and helping with requests. Great communication via messaging prior to arrival. The room was ideal - the location, exceptional! Firm bed was perfect. Thanks for a lovely stay :)

Coffee wasn't easy to sort without sugar, and never a big fan of 'machine' dispensible coffee - this was a very minor issue. There is a coffee shop moments away but not open on the day we were there (Monday). Really nothing we didn't like.

5 days in Lucca…super city and perfect place to stay….and a fab Parkrun on Saturday morning @9am😀

Location was perfect….beside train station…at main gate to Lucca. Room was lovely….cool….air conditioning if needed. Bathroom great. Loved the decor😀.

Helpful host. Spotlessly clean and comfy bed. Good air conditioning. Convenient for station and short walk to the walled city.

Road was quite noisy. Although perfectly pleasant, not as charming as the photos.

Excellent accomodation in a delightful town.

Clean, comfortable, good value, very close to the station and only 300m into town. We found Lucca a much better base than Pisa for visiting Tuscany.

A second key would have been helpful - we failed to ask for one!

Good value for the money.

The room was comfortable. The location was walking distance to the old town and wall. Inexpensive parking just by the front door.

The evening noise from the bistro below was quite noisy.

Great value and location

The check-in hours seem tight, but the contact with the staff is very easy and they let us check in when we wanted (the lady was extremely kind and informative, too). The extreme proximity to the train station is a huge plus. There was no breakfast per se, but there were snacks in the room included in the price. There was also a patio (connected to others, but walled-off with plants).

Perfectly located with a very friendly and helpful host.

Caterina was a lovely host, we had a good chat where she recommended restaurants and places to go, the restaurant in the walls was brilliant. A lovely terrace that we relaxed on in the heat of the day and sipped wine from the fridge in the room. Caterina was so welcoming and allowed us to store our bags after we checked out, even giving us a spare key to allow us to collect them late in the evening. This is a great place just outside the walls of Lucca but only a short distance from the Duomo. Thanks for a great stay Caterina we had a lovely time.

An enjoyable experience.

Good location close to the station and the Walled Town. Katarina was on hand, and provided us with breakfast snacks, which was useful as we arrived late. Early opening café downstairs, for morning snacks

The TV size, to view from the bed, was a wee bit too small.
