Nothing it was one of the worst hotel experiences
Word of warning!..I wouldn't stay here again, the temperature of the room in summer is unbelievable hot and stuffy even with no sun heat getting in, the fan didn't work, me and my partner couldn't sleep all night. We have a cat so filtered booking for pets allowed. And told them upfront we have a cat. After I paid and checked out I got an angry phone call saying they don't accept cats and sent me an extra bill of 100chf which I definitely shouldn't have paid but just wanted to be done dealing with them, there was no damage to the room. They need to remove that pets are allowed. It is listed nowhere that cats are not allowed. Really horrible experience. Never again would I stay here.

amazing staff always trying to accommodate your needs and being helpful. great breakfast. the room was nice too.
the heating in the room was too strong which we could not control and had to leave the windows open.

Good Breakfast and free Parking.
People are allowed to smoke on the balcony. If you’re next to such a room, your room will also smell if door or window is open.

Location was great - a short walk to downtown Ascona. The restaurant was very nice, good food, lovely atmosphere and some nice amari to try. They also had a place to keep our bicycles overnight (as we were bike touring).
4.0
Friendly staff, good location, nice garden, nice playground.
The lack of air-conditioning made our stay very-very uncomfortable.

The restaurant is amazing and the staff are very friendly
The room was small and we had an adjoining room (a locked door) to a couple who were literally having a good bit of 'slap and tickle' throughout the night....glad you are enjoying your stay, but at 3am I am happy to sleep, not listen to you going at it like rabbits!

location and price were good

Very friendly staff and clean room
The walls are thin and you hear a lot of noise. People sitting outside may keep you awake if you want to sleep early. Bring ear plugs.

It was such a great surprise!
A 2 stars Hotel that could easily get 4 stars from my side!
Staff was incredibly helpful and gentle! They made us feel home immediately.
Reception young man that checked us in and the owner were super kind and friendly.
We had dinner at Carcani Restaurant, which belongs same owners, and it was phenomenal! We will never forget that fantastic new years evening!
Just wait for us cause we will see you for sure in Summer!

A frequent bus ride from Locarno station and 5 minutes walk from lake promenad, yet in a pretty quiet streat. Room was simple, clean and comfortable, breakfast was superb. The place has a restaurant owened by the same owners with absolutly fantastic food and decent pricing. Lots of locals there, and this is of course the best reccomendation.... It looks like both hotel and testaurant are run with love! Hope to stay there again.

The staff and the food were tremendous
The rooms and general hotel facilities ( incl. wifi) need a serious makeover/upgrade
This is 2021 and not 1980!!!!

Not much. Location was ok. We couldn’t try the breakfast because they only start serving at 8 am and they didn’t offer alternatives. They have an elevator. They only have parking for like 4 cars in front so we parked in a public space close by. (Better to not count on it at all)
The service is pretty indifferent and not nice and welcoming at all. They didn’t give us the Ticino tourism card at checkin and when we asked for it they didn’t know how to activate them, so we didn’t get receive them. Breakfast starts at 8 am but nobody offered an alternative when we had to checkout earlier than that. Our “garden view” was a view of an internal playground and our chairs were looking just at the other terrace and partly on the restaurant. Thus the balcony is pretty useless. Shower area seems dangerous for an elderly person. There is a diaper changing station just in front of the stairs. Mattress was thin foam. Not a good value for money, we definitely overpaid for this. Our friends had a much nicer hotel the same weekend for half the price.

Very good restaurant. Food was great, wine selection really good. Service was very attentive.
Hotel easy to find. Next to road but not too noisy.
Dogs are welcome. As dog owners we appreciated this very much! There were only a couple of other dog owners at the hotel, but if you really don’t like dogs, this hotel might not be for you.
Hotel is also relatively small, which means less noise overall.
For the price, the hotel is ok and restaurant great.
Room was pretty small. Room and hotel interior is really quite dated and in need of a refresh!
Car park is just far too small. Only about 5 spaces!!
You are forced to park in pay areas or in limited-time areas. This is really not good for guests.

Very friendly staff, excellent location, clean rooms, and one of the best pizzas I probably have ever eaten.
We ordered a vegetarian pea soup in the restaurant but it was served with shrimp in it. The vegetarian sign in front of this dish on the menu was confusing as it turned out that the Italian and German dish description mentioned shrimp but which we didn't fully understand. Nonetheless, we asked the waiter for a vegetarian pea soup but due to miscomprehension we were not given what we asked for.
Our room was slightly outdated but it was clean and comfortable.
