This hotel/inn was on our favorites during our one-month trip to South America. The noticeable difference was the customer service and the pride of ownership by Claudia and Jorge. From the moment we entered, we were given as much time to ask questions and get familiar with El Chalten and the surrounding hiking trails. Claudia was able to give us all the information about each trail as well as look up the current and expected weather forecasts so we can plan accordingly. Claudia assisted us with our luggage to the room, which was simple but got the job done. She showed us how to use the heater, safe, key locks, and any other questions about the room. The room was cleaned everyday and if there were anything we needed midday, they were able to accommodate. The breakfast was good, simple but yet complete. One morning, we wanted to leave a little earlier to start our hike so Claudia opened up breakfast for us early and fed us. She also made us a “boxed lunch” (at a very reasonable price) for the day’s hike so we didn’t have to worry about lunch. She recommended a few good eating places around town and they were all good choices. Overall, we highly recommend this place because of the cleanliness and customer service; they are very nice people that take pride in running a good Hotel/Inn and creating a memorable experience for visitors.
Cleanliness: Outstanding. The room was clean, hotel was clean and well-kept. Fresh towels and linens and there was not any hint of dirtiness
Customer Service: Outstanding. The staff always had a smile and very accommodating. It felt like they never had a bad day and always in a good mood.
Food: Outstanding. Great variety and great tasting. Eggs, , toast, etc, were freshly made to order and complimentary.
Value: Outstanding. For the price and what you get, it’s a great value. You feel like you’re at home, and in a relatively safe place to stay. No issues with staff, the room, or other guests.
The hotel is outstanding. The weather in Patagonia can be unpredictable, and it rained/snowed on our hiking days. Nonetheless Claudia & Jorge made sure we could enjoy the area as much as possible.

nice apartment, heating was great, bed very good
breakfast decent
breakfast could be enhanced further, not too close to the central road but this makes it more quiet!

The family running the hotel were so kind and helpful - giving great advice on hikes and checking in every morning what our plans were. The breakfast was great - freshly made scrambled eggs cooked when we sat down. Our room was so comfortable - big bed and a bath, which was great for post hike recovery. Location was great too - near everything but not near any bars so quiet at night
We liked everything!

Confin Patagonico is a home away from home. A perfect place to stay in El Chalten. The room was lovely, quiet and spotlessly clean. The bed was big and comfortable… the quality of bed sheets, towels, toilet paper, etc, demonstrate care and appreciation for the guests stay. The host Cláudia ensured we had a perfect experience in El Chalten. She offered info on best hiking routes, places to eat, and also arranged a majestical Cabalgata excursion for us and booked our airport transfers. Location is perfect, only a few mins walk from the Bus terminal (no problem with luggage) and the hiking trails. The cafes, restaurants, bars and shops just moments walk away.

I loved everything about Confín, especially Claudia. She helped me plan my trekking days and gave me the best advice to rent trekking poles that literally saved me knees. She’s a wealth of knowledge and so kind. The location is great, rooms extremely comfortable and new. Breakfast is perfect.

The highlight of this hotel is Claudia who was always around with a friendly greeting and helpful directions to stores and restaurants. Even with our poor Spanish and her broken English we were able to communicate well. This small hotel of 8 rooms is simple, but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning had a good selection, and Claudia made us eggs to order to gear up for a day of hiking. The hotel is also a little off of the main strip so we didn't hear any noise at night, and felt a little separated from the crowds of hikers and tourists.
The only complaint I could have is that the hotel is somewhat far from all the trailheads, but if you're hiking a lot during the day, an extra quarter-mile isn't a big deal.
