Walk the winding streets of this neighbourhood to immerse yourself in the culture and architecture of Lisbon. When the hills get a bit too much, you can always hop onto one of the iconic trams as they weave their way through the city. You're four minutes' walk from the breathtaking city views of Miradouro de São Pedro, a six-minute walk from the opulent interior of the Church of Sao Roque, and six minutes from the mournful sounds of fado that accompany dinner at legendary Lisbon restaurant, Adega Machado. At the end of a day of exploring, retreat to your sleek and modern home, where traditional features harmoniously coexist with minimalist modern furniture – it's a stark contrast to the art-daubed cobbled streets below. We love the natural light and the roomy bedrooms, which make getting up in the morning an absolute pleasure. Home truths: * There is no elevator to this first-floor home – those with limited mobility or heavy suitcases beware * Air conditioning is only present in the living room * We suspect you won't need a car, but if you do hire one, there is paid parking off-premises *Self check-in is available *Child-friendly amenities such as a cot, highchair and baby bath are available upon request *Hot water supply is limited – if all guests want to shower in the morning, you may run out of water *The kitchen faucet can be noisy
