Excellent place to stay.

The room was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Ron was incredibly friendly and personable as he worked the front desk. He got us into our rooms quickly. The rooms are very clean and welcoming. While I didn’t use the fitness center or pool, both facilities looked clean. I got a great nice sleep and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone passing through the area.

we were there to attend a family reunion and there were six other families from the reunion that stayed there also and a

convenient, good breakfast, and the personal greeting on the tv when we walked in was a nice touch

only 3 Kleenex in the box , water leaked from the bottom of the shower door all over the bathroom floor, and there was pink mold in the corner of the bottom of the shower door and in the corner of the foot shelf. maybe some retraining on house cleaning but it is fixable

The Fairfield at Clear Lake was an excellent place to stay.

The entire experience exceeded our expectations. Staff was accommodating and friendly, the room was tasteful and clean and we were recommended a nearby restaurant that was very good. We will use this facility again in the future.

We have no negative comments.

Unsatisfied with service

Modern, updated facilities. Breakfast was adequate..

Upon checking in, when it was our turn at the desk the phone rang and Lisa picked it up and spent time booking the callers stay. We stood there for however long it took with no recognition that we were even there, no apology for attending to a caller when we were standing right there. I'm not sure how those calls should be handled as you do not want to lose business but there should at least be a signal to wait a moment. We also needed pillows without down filler so brought down the 2 pillows to have them replaced. Again, Lisa did not see us at the desk holding pillows, walking back into the office and only upon coming out and WALKING PAST US did she look up and seemed surprised we were standing there waiting for service.. We think there is a mismatch in providing service and recognition of the guests in this facility. The showers were tepid on Friday night but Saturday morning my husband reported the water was hotter. We will not be returning to this Fairfield although we have spent many nights in hotels near Mason City but will not be back to Fairfield.

The location was perfect & the room was well put together.

The shower curtain LINER was too short to keep water from spilling onto the bathroom floor. Ours was soaked after showering. You're going to want to get some longer ones!

friendly staff throughout the facility! clean facility. plenty of parking. easy access to the hotel. The bed was comfortable.

the room - we were given a handicap room in which the desk, closet handing bar and bathroom vanity were all short. While I would expect the room to be set up that way for folks requiring it, we were not one of those folks. Tried to switch rooms but was told that that room was the last one that was clean and available. (We checked in approx. 3:10pm) Additionally, we weren't given the opportunity to move to a more accommodating room for us. The breakfast area, while clean it was laid out clumsy. Plates, knives, forks were right next to the waffle maker and were hard to get to while another guest was making / waiting for their waffle to finish cooking. (Would be better if these items were place in an open area accessible to everyone w/o having to wait on another guest's waffles. The OJ was terrible - worst I've ever had from any hotel - ever. The apple juice was equally bad. It had only a faint taste of apple and the juice was nearly the color of clear water. Sorry to say, it is doubtful that we will ever stay there again on our future trips to the area.

on the night we were there, there was nothing on the television due to a “server issue” but, I’m not upset about it at all. Tech issues are the norm nowadays unfortunately.

We enjoyed it!

Space in room was smartly designed. iIt was very practical and actually genius. there was a place for coats, a separate clothes closet, and Mini frig/microwave/ coffee station were very very well designed. breakfast great but only caffeinated coffee choice was bold. Too strong for me, really needs a regular coffee option.

It is near the highway, no no views, but far away enough that traffic sounds at a minimum.
