Great place to stay!

The appartment is great, has loads of room and is well equiped.

During our stay we had to fix the stove but Sabrina took care of everything. Unfortunately, to do so, we had to move appartments.

Appartment okay, cleaning service mixed, missing kitchen equipment

The apartment has a great location very close to the Mont Choisy beach which is in our opinion the best public beach on Mauritius. The layout of the apartment was nice. We liked the fact that we had a balcony door at the front and the rear. If you opened both you had a constant breeze and there was no need to turn on the air condition. During night we needed a electrical plug in order to defend mosquitos. With the plug it was ideal during night. Not too warm and not too humid. We had an apartment on the ground floor with a terrace at and a garden in front of it. You could separate the bedroom from the rest of the apartment with a sliding door. When we arrived we had just a low table on the terrace. The manager kindly provided us a normal table so that we could have our meals and drinks outside. The pool was not big but it was okay for a short refreshment. Though it is not ideal to spend the whole day around there. You have several restaurants very close to it. There is also a market where you can get basic stuff. You get good and large bathing towels. Despite of the good location and the public bus station very close by it is recommended to have your own car. It gives you a lot of flexibility in order to have some excursions or simply to go to the shopping malls. You can get rental cars at a good rate with local companies and Mauritius is a good place to learning do driving on the left side. The other traffic participants are usually very respectful.

When we arrived the dishes in the kitchen were dirty. We had to wash it. The kitchen itself was missing a lot of equipment. i.e. good knives (we brought our own one), there was just a very small frying pan - we had to buy our own one, salad bowl, oven, chopping board, dishwasher (the staff washed the dishes actually), no washing machine (the staff washed your laundry at a small fee). There were 4 defect light bulbs. They were changed after a few days when I mentioned this to the manager. I would expect that such things are checked on a regular base and that there is at most one defect light bulb. The couch had blurs. It was covered with a sheet which had also blurs. The first set of bed linen had also blurs. After the first change it was okay. The first duvet cover had also blurs. We put it into the laundry for washing. Actually it was then removed and we haven't gotten any replacement. We just had the naked quilt for the rest of our stay. At the beginning the cleaning of our apartment was not of good quality. This was better after I complained about it. There was no power outlet in the bathroom. The kitchen cabinets were not cleaned at all inside. There was a lot of dirt and dead insects in there. The pictures of the apartment looked pretty good at the booking.com. If you looked closer at some places it looked unfinished or was dirty (i.e. color spots from painting). Overall it looked a bit exhausted. The towel service was mixed. Sometimes we had just one bath towel. Sometimes the towel you put at the floor in front of the shower was missing. Overall the stay was not a disaster. The apartment itself has potential. We enjoyed the stay but for the price of this apartment we expect a better service and better equipment. The value you get for the price is not good. The year before we had an apartment at the same price where everything was perfect.

Very good

Spacious apartment, well-equipped kitchen. Public beach 5minutes by walk. Excellent restaurant next to the apart, as well as kiosk with fresh fruit. Supermarket 10minutes by car (the one in place is really horrible and bad equipped). Good communication with the staff.
