The house that jack built
We liked leaving it !!!
I really don’t know where to begin but here goes …. Entrance from the main road leaves a lot to be desired the gardens are very neglected with most of the plants dead the overhang whilst trying to come down the path is ridiculous. We where met at the property by Michelle ( Miguel ) who was nothing but nice he handed us some keys, pointed us to the entrance hall gave me he’s number , told me if we need anything to contact him. Once he’d left we set about bringing our luggage in. There are stair’s everywhere luckily there’s a bedroom on the ground floor so my elderly disabled parents could be settled in there (81+83 years old). Kitchen is old & worn with a broken tap that literally dribbles hot water making it virtually impossible to wash up. The worktops are full of knife marks and burnt patches. The kettle doesn’t work so we had to use a pan. You can’t light the cooker without the lighter which was on the side but had no gas in it. The fridges are broken and tired. The washing machine doesn’t work at all either. Most of the plug sockets both up and downstairs don’t work. The external kitchen French doors won’t lock nor would the main front door. We had to take all our valuables with us wherever we went. The furniture throughout is beautiful antique but has also been neglected so is dusty and grotty and filled with other peoples belongings. Neither of the lamps in the lounge or the antique wall clock worked ( they do now my father mended them). The tv in the lounge doesn’t work either, it turns on but the screen looks like it’s been dropped or something. The crockery is old mismatched & chipped there is only 4 glasses in the whole place too so for 8 people not ideal. The majority of the air conditioning in the bedrooms didn’t work which made sleeping at the beginning of august uncomfortable to say the least. The so called en-suites are very small more like cupboards that they have crammed a shower sink & toilet into.
