It was very quaint and cozy. Tim made us feel right at home, same with the lady who was mainly manning the restaurant downstairs
The drain being connected to the shower and having to flush to get water down was a little inconvenient. But, like the low entry way, it was a quirk, not a stay ruiner.

Location
Stayed in the loft room. I respect it’s an ancient property & in peak winter however even with an extra heater placed in our room we were absolutely freezing. I fell pretty sick had to stay in bed all evening. Unfortunately couldn’t make our dinner booking, really wasn’t in the best shape… The owner kept bombarding me with messages & phone calls like some crazy person. Value for money was so over priced for what it is. Be nice to get a partial or full refund as a common courtesy… It’s just a guest house not a 5* spa!!

The location is superb and the room was lovely. Tastefully decorated and furnished, and comfortable. Despite the extremely high heatwave temperatures the 300 year old thick walls gave respite. There was also an excellent modern tower fan that made sleeping more comfortable. I imagine the room would be cozy in winter. Really lovely location and affordable.
The wall lights didn't work when we returned in the evening. Appeared to be a connection issue rather than bulbs blowing. It wasn't a big issue as the bedside lamp gave enough light for the room. The only reason we didn't rate our stay a 10.

Where it was.
The plumbing is a health hazard and needs urgent and immediate attention !
There was foul water and sewage bubbling up into the shower tray - the accommodation should be closed down until this problem is rectified !

Interesting property because of age. Restaurant excellent and very handy below accommodation

Great location in the centre of town, and a 5 min walk from the train station. We were in the loft which was more spacious than I expected. Really nice decor and very clean. Separate private bathroom, which was also nice. Lovely Thai food down in the restaurant. We were allowed in early to drop our bags off which was super handy!

Siam Cottage was very conveniently located and quiet. Due to my own scheduling snafu I did not book a 4th night (although I thought I had). Staff was helpful in finding another place for me to stay and I very much appreciated that.
For those staying several days fresh towels would be helpful as well as refilling the water bottle and providing more coffee beyond a single night's stay.

Really great location in the town. Nice cosy rooms with everything you’d need for a stay. Staff were really welcoming and the Thai restaurant below was fab.
The shower had stopped working on the morning of our departure and it was too early to notify staff but wasn’t a huge problem as only before check out.

Great location, good facilities and a warm welcome.
Traffic noise from the road made for an early wake up.

Very close to the station and various options for coffee / food. This is a family run business, and I had the pleasure of meeting Tim and 2 of his sons. His wife is head chef in the Thai restaurant below the hotel (fyi you can’t smell any food at all), and the whole family went above and beyond to make my stay a brilliant one. Super attentive and friendly, from small touches like offering a drink or prawn crackers for my train journey to incredible gestures like driving me to a wedding because there were no taxis available. What a brilliant family running a great hotel and restaurant. Thank you for making me welcome! I cannot recommend this place enough!

Lovely stay, central in the village and close to the train station. Hosts were very friendly and helpful, with the option for storing luggage on check in and check out days. We had a great meal in their restaurant downstairs too!

location was fine even on a busy road. Breakfast was not in the deal . the ground floor restaurant was very good though crowded
Room furniture could be better scaled to room size. Coat hooks and hangers would be a better use of space than the wobbly hanger rail stand provided

Location
Toilets noisy. It’s an old building and the plumbing cannot be helped.
4.3
It’s central to a lot of things to do.
It’s enough for what we needed Z

Location. Windows and street view. Exclusive loft with three rooms. Restaurant offers high quality Thai food.
Sami flush toilet system noise.

It’s all about your expectations. If you expect a 5 star hotel, you will be disappointed. My wife declared us “glamping”, so I didn’t mind ducking my head to enter the bedroom. The small shower takes quite a bit of fiddling to get to a comfortable temperature, but as glampers we were just happy for a warm shower! If I were to stay in Moreton again, I wouldn’t mind staying here. Having said that, Moreton is not somewhere that I would choose to visit again. The traffic through town is so bad that crossing the street is hazardous. If I had it to do again, I would probably stay in Bourton-on-Water.
It met my expectations.

Only booked a one night stay. Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect.
Would happily return

In a beautiful town within easy reach of walks. Lots of places to eat out. Nice Thai restaurant below the B&B. Clean room.
We found the bed too small for two people. We found the noise from the traffic disrupted our sleep as the windows are old (in fitting with the age of the property) and therefore not sound proof.

Location was perfect. Lovely quirky room :-)

Great location in the middle of the town. We ate at the restaurant downstairs which was very nice. Free wifi, nice TV. Host is friendly.
£117 is far too expensive for what you get. You are paying hotel prices for a hostel experience. Bed isn't comfy. Shared bathroom and toilet but no sink in the toilet. If it was half the price, it would be just about worth it.

Location is terrific. Hotel owner can be very friendly
This is by far the most puzzling stay I have experienced in terms of how little the reviews on Booking are miles apart from reality.
Our stay started with the hotel owner complaining we were too early to check in even though they confirmed our check in hour the day prior to our arrival. We then got our room only to discover it was not ensuite, even though this was not indicated in any way in the room's listing (it was updated to say it os non-suite since) . When we complained about it to the owners he reacted aggressively and unkindly and said he had canceled our reservation because "he can" and "it is his house and he can do whatever he wants" and because we "weren't happy with the room", while he very well knew getting an alternative accommodation would be impossible on such a short notice. It took an hour of converse to get him to look at our booking confirmation and see that the room is listed as ensuite and understand what had happened. No compensation was offered neither by him nor Booking. Moreover the building is old ( not in a charming way, just old), the floors are creeking and offset, rooms are small and decore is cheap looking. Hotel owner did apologize eventually, something we greatly appreciated and lightened up the sad start. He even asked Booking to fix the listing, but at the end of the day the stay was unfortunate and Booking's degraded customer service was just the cherry on top of everything. So, so disappointing.
