Central for our needs
Locks on bathroom doors were not good

Self-catering, so breakfast question not applicable. The property was exactly what we needed: four bedrooms for four over-70s siblings, including one bedroom and shower room on ground floor for one person with limited mobility. Very clean property, with grocery & off-licence scorner shop just around the corner. Free on-street parking available on the street overnight and up to a maximun of 3 hours during the day, so the house is a perfect base for travellers who will be out touring south Wales during the day.
The property location is high up in a hill, with steeply sloping roads on all sides - this could be an issue for anyone without a car to access.

They have tried to make it nice with some soft furnishings
It is not an executive style house it is a student house which smells, has marks on all the walls, we tried to cook pizza on arrival but the oven trays were filthy, first glass pulled out of cupboard had lipstick marks round the rim. Beds uncomfortable, curtains didnt fit the window in the main bedroom. Front door was filthy and house smelt.

my family traveled from Liverpool to Swansea to participate in my daughter's graduation. We reached the property at around 10 pm. picked up the key from the lockbox and went upstairs and checked the toilet and found it has not been cleaned. someone has used it before and all dirty discharge gel around the bend of the commode. I immediately phoned the host and informed him. Firstly he asked me to wait till the following morning. Then I told him my family wants to use the toilet and the washroom before going to bed. I wanted him to cancel and refund my money then I can go to some other place. He rejected my request and instead sent his son with a bottle of harpic and a toilet brush to clean the toilet. Son came with his friend around 12 midnight. myself my wife and two daughters had to break rest until they come. By the time we wash and went to bed around 1 am. this property has no parking. roadside parking is allowed for only three hours during the daytime. This property is not suitable for tourist accommodation. In the meantime, i phoned customer service of the booking.com and informed the situation and requested to make arrangements to cancel the booking and refund my money . customer service officer told me that he can't do it without the host's permission. what is the duty of booking.com toward its customers? (only earning commission)This is not my fault. As a result of this, my family was penalized.
Therefore I hereby request booking.com to consider my complain reasonably and make arrangements to refund my money since we were not happy at all in this property.

The space and cleanliness
The parking is an issue but managed to find a road at the top of the hill which didn’t require a permit

comfortable living room, side light in living room not just main light, kitchen had enough of what we needed, 2 bathrooms, warm house,
no dishwasher, beds not great, bit shabby looking, living room stank of cannabis, tv in bedroom had no arial so couldn’t use it, would have been nice to have pint of milk in fridge so could make a cup of tea on arrival after long drive

Location good for us. Appeared to have been recently refurbished. Kitchen equipment more than expected. Pretty clean overall.
Good VFM but this meant some furniture was quite basic (beds were good though).

The owner is very helpful. He sent the plumber at midnight when we faced the central heating system issue.
The kitchen was nice and clean. and bedrooms were in proper order.
The previous occupant left the garbage in the backyard with a foul smell so all the windows had to be kept closed.

The decor of the rooms and the location
That you couldn’t park outside but it states online £5 parking is available, which is clearly incorrect. We got a parking ticket from parking in a ‘residential area’. Anyone who stays at this property should be exempt from receiving a parking ticket.

Only received 2 toilet rolls for 7 people staying, bath leaked, bedroom next to toilet smelt, house was very cold, badly finished
