The eye for beautiful architectural detail and sophistication in every corner. It’s right by the sea and overlooking the city of Novigrad and a short walk away. The food is delicious and the spa offers a unique getaway. In the end the staff is so so nice and helpful!

Wow, what a boutique hotel. In contrast with general trends of minimalism, the hotel remains loyal to the iconic and timeless classic style. Palazzo Rainis Hotel & Spa is charmingly opulent and can easily compete against other luxury hotels. The lavish decor and select furniture are a feast for the eyes and will thrill lovers of high-end design.
The hotel terrace with a pool grabs the attention of curious onlookers throughout the year. We can easily imagine the terrace as a place for car launches, gala dinners or spectacular weddings. Extraordinary.
It is difficult to find any drawbacks in such an excellent hotel. Perhaps the only remark is the relatively small, perhaps too-small spa. Also, the hotel can improve the selection of pillows. In light of the hotel’s advantages, there is one drawback, however - the price of staying at Palazzo Rainis Hotel & Spa is high. Hence, every detail or slip in service is easily spotted. I do not doubt the team will have improved by our next visit. For hotels in the top tier, service is similar to professional sport - you have to perform at your best at all times

it’s a beautiful property and very beautiful and quiet location but close enough to the Center.
-power went out while we were there and couldn’t use the spa facilities or access our room
-terrible breakfast service with VERY limited options: one staff member working on replacing food, making coffee, serving drinks and food
-breakfast foods would not get replaced, e.g. I waited one hour for them to add more bacon.. unacceptable
-spa facilities were also not extensive for a ‘spa hotel’
-jacuzzi in the spa didn’t have hot water. the staff tried heating it but nothing happened in the end.
we were told this was because it was no longer high season so they were short on staff and ingredients etc. (we went last week of October). But this is something they knew and anticipated so how dare they charge guests 600 euros plus for a service they know they cannot provide or maintain. some staff members were kind and sympathetic but if I was aware of the conditions of the hotel and the service which they all were, I would definitely be a lot more apologetic and accommodating. they didn’t charge us 50 euros for the private spa but this was the absolute least they could have done. Incredibly disappointing experience. would not recommend. would not go again. completely ruined a very special birthday getaway I had planned for my mother and I with the intention of spoiling her with the absolute best with my hard earned money…

This is a new hotel with a staff that is working very hard to make every guest feel welcome. We visited in the off season (late November) so we benefited from a terrific room rate that included an excellent spa (sauna and jacuzzi) and a superb breakfast. The hotel also has bicycles for guest use at no extra charge which we used for a lovely ride up the coastal bike path. All of our encounters with the staff were positive and friendly. The charming town of Novigrad is just across the harbor in east walking distance. The hotel is situated with view of the picturesque harbor and its numerous sailboats but sits just car enough off the road and the harbor to be very peaceful. The spa in the basement reminded us of an Austrian sport hotel; the sauna and jacuzzi were excellent plus it plays peaceful music and offers herbal teas to relax and cool down.
The elevator was out of order although it was an easy walk up the stairs.

A very nice place. Super location- close to the beach and the center. Great, elegant breakfasts. Very nice service. Very committed and nice waiter serving breakfast.
The principles of operation of the car park are not fully understood. Some guests park at the hotel and some at the nearby parking lot. It is not bothersome, but it made me slightly embarrassed.

Place is wonderful, green beach is close. Everything is in walking distance. Staff is very polite and eager to please. Parking is available and free. Breakfast is rich and full of local specialties.
Lunch menu could be better. Room needs little refrigerator for late night drinks and refreshments.

Great location overlooking the marina. Hotel also has a yacht available for sunset cruise, but we didn't have time to cruise since we stayed only one night - will definitely try it on our next visit. Breakfast is tasty with variety of fresh fruit which we loved. We will come back for sure!
Spa zone could have more options and pool is somewhat small
