- Trash goes into the dumpsters which are located on Tina Ct. Make a right if you are coming down the stairs and they are up a hill on your left.
- To reach the home, locate a set of stairs to the direct left of a house on the street level. (2nd photo on this listing)
PARKING PASSES
Douglas County requires all renters to display a parking pass on the dash of their car for the duration of their stay. They are located inside the home on the wall by the front door. Please put this on your dash immediately upon arrival to avoid a fine from the county. If the box is empty let us know right away. Reminder: we are only permitted for a certain # of vehicles to be parked in the designated areas only (garage, driveway, parking lot, etc). No street parking is allowed at rentals, per the county, regardless if you have a parking pass or not. Appreciate your cooperation with the Douglas County rental ordinance!
TAHOE RENTAL ORDINANCE
The following laws were set forth by the county and apply to every home in Tahoe. They were put in place to keep Lake Tahoe an enjoyable and safe place to visit for years to come! :)
1. The hot tub cannot be used after 10pm (if this home has one)
2. 10pm - 8am is the county quiet time for all rentals.
3. Trash cannot be left outside and must go into the bear box.
4. We cannot host extra people or allow parties.
5. We cannot accomodate extra cars, parking on the street or dirt.
PLEASE NOTE: Neighbors may alert the police who will issue fines to guests found to be in violation. In order to protect this owner’s permit, we reserve the right to ask guests to leave if this happens.
IMPORTANT INFO
- QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD: In Tahoe it’s so quiet at night that you could hear a pin drop! As a result, we can only host quieter groups that will abide by all of the county laws. Our guests are normally fine as long as they head inside or to the casinos after 10pm. Appreciate your understanding!
- KEEP TAHOE BLUE: Please help us keep Tahoe a natural wonder by appropriately disposing of trash when visiting our beaches and trails. If you pack it in, please pack it out.
- REVIEWS: We kindly ask for understanding and compassion when sharing feedback about this home, just as we strive to approach responding to reviews with empathy. We understand that experiences can vary, and what might not meet one person's expectations could exceed another person’s expectations. Your reviews have a lasting impact on the home and its owner, who are real people behind the scenes. We genuinely value your input and appreciate constructive feedback that can help us enhance our offerings.
- TRAVEL INSURANCE: We highly recommend that all of our lovely guests purchase travel insurance as we normally do not refund for Covid, smoke, fires, weather, snow storms, road closures, etc.Â
- WINTER TRAVEL ADVISORY: After the historic Winter of 2023, we recommend 4WD vehicles with snow tires, tire chains and experience driving in the snow. Emphasis on snow tires. Tahoe roads are icy and power outages are common. Please always wear snow boots and walk with care on icy pathways.
- BBQ/DECKS IN WINTER: Due to snow levels and freezing temps, BBQs are not serviced and decks are not shovelled during the Winter but if you can dig it out and there is propane - feel free to use!
- LATE CHECK OUT: Please let us know 24 hours prior to check out, if you wish to request a late check out. First hour is free then $25/hour after that, not to exceed 1pm. Please note our cleaners sometimes travel for up to 1 hour to clean this home so we ask that you please respect the 10am check out time.
- NO AC: Like most homes in Tahoe, there is no AC but we do provide plenty of fans.
- HIGH FIRE RISK: Lake Tahoe is a high-risk fire area. Fireworks, wood fire pits, smoking/improper disposal of cigarette butts and charcoal bbq’s are prohibited.
- BLACK BEARS: Black bears inhabit Lake Tahoe and are attracted to food and trash. Always lock your car doors, roll up windows and view from afar. Please do not feed our bears.
- TOWELS: We supply one bath towel, one wash cloth per occupant and then one hand towel per bathroom.
- SECURITY: Most of our homes have exterior-only security cameras and noise decibel monitoring systems to ensure we are in compliance with the county ordinance but we take our guests privacy VERY seriously. There is never indoor cameras. Most owners only look to see bears and snow levels at their homes :)
- MOUNTAIN CRITTERS: It’s not uncommon at any home in Tahoe to find little mountain mice, spiders, spider webs, ants, mosquitos, etc. Our homes have on-going extermination services but despite our best efforts, these little critters might make their way inside. If found it doesn’t mean a home is dirty, let us know and we will do our best to mitigate such findings.
Thank you and happy travels!

The property was as advertised. We noticed a few damaged items which we notified the property manager on arrival. The view is amazing and the property had plenty of room. I would invest in a comfortable mattress. Also, the internet service was out most of the time we were there.

This place was what we were looking for on our getaway. Great views, good location. It was just 2 of us and while we could have had more stay with the other bedroom it was the right size for the two of us. The stairs, as described, are very much there - my watch clocked between 3-4 flights. But very worth it. Great neighborhood. Staff was quick to respond to questions.

Property manager was extremely slow to respond. The condition of the unit does not match the pictures. Mold in the bathroom. Would not recommend.

Shower was never fixed. Towels were crispy harsh on the skin… too many stairs to carry our equipment to and from the car. Parking not assigned difficult to park with neighbors taking up more parking with one vehicle

Roomy but cozy, clean and well-kept duplex with spectacular view. This property had all the amenities needed to be comfortable. We fully enjoyed the quiet beauty for our anniversary. The many stairs helped offset my overindulgence in food and wine! We recommend!

We really enjoyed the house. The steps are no joke- it would be difficult for anyone with limitations. I suggest more washcloths- at least one per person /per day is reasonable. We would definitely stay again! Spectacular view!

We only stayed 2 nights but the view made it so we just wanted to hang out at the condo! Kitchen allowed us to prepare meals. Cute spot!!

This house was wonderful for our needs. House has absolutely amazing sunset views from both balconies and made for great placed to unwind and enjoy the perfect weather. Clean and tidy house with everything we needed for our stay. 90 steps up to the property, it was a lot for us Texans not used to higher elevations, but the views were always worth it once you got there. This was also a great launching point for all our activities, easy to head into SLT or head north to Incline and Truckee or over to Minden for ATV. Perfect location all around. Beats the pants off staying in some hotel with only a view of a pool. Property management was also very attentive making sure we knew how to get into the property and texting to make sure we knew how to reach them if we had any issues at all, which we didn't, but its good to know they are there and responsive if needed.

Listing says no AC, but also says that there are many fans provided. There was 1 fan. Property has lots of bugs-spider, ants, fleas...
Carpet needs cleaning.
A more accurate account of stairs would be 90 steep steps. (Said 4 flights)
Beautiful views!

It’s all about the view at this property which compensate for items that need repair and maintenance. Property is a bit dated but that view!!

The view was even better in person! The stairs are only a pain when bringing luggage up and down, and it’s worth it. Great location close to everything, nice cabin, amazing views, and great balconies!

Absolutely perfect spot for our long weekend getaway! We couldn't get enough of the incredible views and enjoyed our morning coffee and a number of beverages in the evening at sunset on both of the balconies. It was just the two of us, but the property is perfect for a couple or small family as it would have been great for us and our two kids.

This property boasts a million-dollar view! We never tired of looking out the window. It is a wonderful property you won't regret choosing this one. Its close to the main road in South Tahoe and Emerald Bay. The steps are considerable so keep that in mind if you have any physical limitations but worth the deep breathing to get to the top!!

This is probably the most well-appointed rental I've ever found on VRBO. We like to cook, and the Host of this place obviously loves good food and wine, with an amazing atmosphere. The property is better than the ad implies, and the view is better than photos can relate. The Host also responded very quickly to my question after arrival.
Thanks for a memorable vacation!!

The stairs are worth it for the view! Such beautiful scenery. Nice, clean, well furnished, and quiet home. Loved our stay. Highly recommend.

Overall, the home was good. Lots of steps but the view is fantastic. Location was great - 5 min from Boulder and Stagecoach lodges at Heavenly, and 10 min to the downtown area/Heavenly Village. Really no complaints at all until the last full day we were there. There was a snow storm coming through and the temps had dropped that day/evening. We woke up in the morning to find that no water was coming out of any of the hot water faucets (kitchen and both bathrooms). The cold water faucets were totally fine. I texted and called Grand Welcome immediately to let them know at around 8:30am. They were very responsive and said that the on site managers would come take a look at the water heater. We were originally told that the water heater would replenish itself in a few hours. Then we were told around 12pm that the pipes might be frozen and space heaters would be put under the house to help them thaw. Not ideal that we didn't have hot water at the time but we were hopeful it would come on later in the day. I get a call around 12:30pm from Priscilla at Grand Welcome and she tells us that the pipes are in a deep freeze (kind of confused as the cold water is fine). She said that the water would be turned off and that the on site manager's suggestion to us is to depart early since we were leaving the next day anyway. I told Priscilla that we were not going to pay extra money to stay somewhere else. It was not our fault or responsibility that the pipes froze. I'm sure it's not the first winter in Tahoe and would assume that measures would have been taken to keep the pipes from freezing. I mentioned that if they were willing to pay for our "new" lodging that night that we'd be happy to depart early. They did not accept that, nor did they offer to reimburse us the one night to make us consider leaving early. We ended up being out of the house from 3:30 - 9:30pm. When we returned from dinner around 9:30pm, we found that there was no heat in the home. I texted Grand Welcome to let them know this. I also texted to let them know the dishwasher was dirty and there were some dirty pans in the sink since we couldn't wash them. I have not received a reply text/call from them that they've acknowledged any of this. Like I mentioned, the first several days were totally fine and we were enjoying our stay. However, the fact that they told us to depart a day early in the middle of a snow storm with no helpful suggestions is what totally soured the trip for us.

Accomodations were lovely. Homey feeling property. Great view w 2 balconies looking at the Lake. Away from downtown lake Tahoe in beautiful foresty setting. 108 stairs to property but lots of landings- just take it slow. I'm 68 and made it! The view is worth it!!

The townhome was super clean, the steps were a bit much (could use more lights for night time arrivals). The view was phenomenal. Only downside (next to the stairs) was the master was listed as having a king size bed and it isn’t. But the view from the master bedroom was breathtaking!

Views were amazing and the condo was perfect.

Now I Know...
Why they call it Heavenly. This unit has amazing views of the lake and mountains - seeing the sunrise light up the mountains and then set directly over the mountains - unit faces due west so it was, in a word, heavenly. Skied with my 14 yo son, the unit was perfect for the two of us. 10 minutes to the gondola, easy peasy. The stairs will keep you young...it is a hike from the car to the unit but totally worth it. Enjoy!

Amazing View
Overall good property consisting of an average cabin with an amazing view... It was sufficiently accommodating for myself, wife and 2 children (10&12). The unit could use some updates/upgrades. I struggled waking up to a $1M view from bed while laying on a $2 pillow. Also heed the warning of the stairs to get to the unit. I actually counted 9 flights and that's just to get to the lower bedroom level. There's another flight inside making 10 to get to the living level i.e. carrying groceries etc. We made a point to take out pizza every evening after skiing where we could catch sunset and make the most of the view. If you can't tell by what I've written above, it's all about the view! Good luck!

The best views of the lake, and a very well cared for condo. Perfect stay.
Came with my wife and 6 year old daughter and we all instantly fell in love with this condo. Without a doubt it had a major positive impact on our overall experience in Tahoe. The views are amazing and and place is very clean and well stocked with everything you need.
The only thing to note is that there is a long flight of stairs up to the unit (which wasn’t a problem for us) but do consider that if anyone in your group has difficulty going up stairs.
