Very nice house, large rooms and very well equipped. The only thing that was missing was air conditioning on very hot July days. However, the ceiling fans and the cool mountain air in the evening allowed us to sleep in comfort.

Our time at Peaceful easy feeling was wonderful. The house was in excellent condition upon arrival and well stocked with everything we could need during our stay. There was plenty of room for all 12 of us to relax comfortably with many different places to sit and relax together. We loved having access to two different lakes for fishing that were close by.

Best cabin in Canaan we’ve ever rented. Plenty of room to sleep at least 12 people comfortably (without anyone sleeping on the day bed.) Evrryghing was immaculately clean. The kitchen was recently remodeled and is very well stocked with everything you need to cook meals for a large group. The basement ideas also recently updated and the bathrooms down there are gorgeous. The basement was like a separate apartment for our teenage guests to hang out in and watch TV or play pool. The master bedroom is also gorgeous. Even though the bedrooms upstairs are in the smaller side they are clean and comfortable. The Jack-And-Jill bathroom upstairs is large and laid out nicely to share. It hasn’t been remodeled like the basement, but it is in pristine condition and looks like it’s never been used! If the weather were better we would have spent our evenings outside in the deck. But we had rain and snow, so we spent them by the fire place laughing, talking and listening to music. We would absolutely rent this cabin again.

We loved this house, and fully enjoyed our stay there. It was a perfect size for 3 families with adult children. It had everything you will ever need for cooking in the kitchen, and plenty of plates, glasses, cups and utensils too. Since it was cold and snow outside, we used the fireplace a lot and there was plenty of firewood provided. We did have a few minor issues like the light fixture in one of the upstairs bedrooms, but wasn’t a big deal overall. And the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I definitely recommend staying at this house.

Peaceful Easy Feeling was perfect for our group of five couples. The house was immaculate! We reached out to the staff at Best of Canaan for firewood and they were more than helpful. It arrived in less than an hour! We had a rainy weekend but enjoyed the pool table and games that were provided. We have been meeting in the valley for 25 years every September and this house is one of the very best!!

Our family has been vacationing in Canaan Valley for 15 years, and this is the nicest home we've stayed at. It is spacious and clean with everything you need and with extra thoughtful touches throughout. The remodeled kitchen is a chef's dream, and the new wood floors on the main level are very nice. The brand new basement is perfect, with large bedrooms and luxurious bathrooms. The master shower was a little cramped, so we used one of the downstairs showers. From the large back deck and brand new hot tub, the only noises you could hear were birds and the wind through the trees. Overall, a great place to stay in a beautiful area.

We have stayed in Timberline several times, this house was just perfect. When we arrived and read the note from the owners, I could tell it was going to be a good stay (did we just become best friends!).
It is aptly named, Peaceful Easy Feeling. The house was beautiful and well appointed. They thought of everything. The appliances were really nice and the kitchen was open and bright and very easy to cook in. The bed in the 1st floor master was comfortable and the master bath was a little retreat. The hot water is no joke though!
The furniture on the deck was great and the view was so peaceful. If you want total seclusion, this may not be the one for you. Don't get me wrong, we were by no means on top of our neighbors, but they were visible.
This house had everything we could possibly need for a wonderfully relaxing weekend.
I hesitate to leave such a positive review, because I want this house to be available next time we are in town! We will be back, and I would even be willing to be flexible with our dates just to get this house again.
Traveler's tip: if it is your intention to go to the grocery store and cook, check out the cabinets before you make your list, there was a lot we didn't have to buy (like salt and pepper, olive oil and the like)

Beautiful house and in a great location. The inclusion of firewood was excellent as we relaxed in front of the fireplace, read books, or napped. Total disconnect. Great use of space and plenty of room for the family. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, utensils, etc. We usually travel with our stuff and did not have to use any of our things. We are already looking at next year for another stay. Also, the management company quickly refilled our request for more firewood. Thanks!

This is the 2nd YR in a row staying here. The owners and property mgmt team do a great job keeping it clean. The hot tub is great after a full day of skiing.
Added bonus this year, the downstairs has been finished as a game room.

Wonderful Vacation Home ! Well stocked Kitchen, lots of firewood. Hot tub was great even when outside temp was -7 degrees. The insructions for "how to" were perfect. We had our three adult children with us. Lots of fun and laughter. Timberline Ski Slopes 5 min away.

House was as advertised, not bad at all. We really appreciated the EV charger in garage. Everything was pretty clean, although we recommend giving the master shower a thorough cleaning or even replacement. Access to the hot tub from upstairs deck would be nice.

Peaceful, Easy Feeling certainly lived up to its name! House was wonderful. Kitchen was well-stocked. Layout was great. Bedrooms were spacious and mattress was extremely comfortable. Weather was unusually warm the first couple days we were there but cooled off later in the week so we could build a fire at night. Hot tub was huge and very welcome after a day of fishing and exploring. It would be nice if there was a direct staircase to the hot tub from the upper deck but it looks like the owners are doing a lot of construction on the lower level so maybe in the future? We did see a couple deer, several squirrels and a red fox while we were there. Would definitely consider staying again! Thanks again to Best of Canaan staff for helping us have another wonderful vacation!

We recently rented this property for a few nights to go skiing. It was one of the best rental properties we've ever stayed at. It was a beautiful home, clean, and had lots of privacy surrounding it. Great Rental and Location

Perfection
