We spent two nights and found the listing to be exactly described. The house was well-equipped. We slept well. We found the location to be quiet and peaceful with easy access to the lake. The furniture was not as comfortable as we would have preferred. The beds were great, but the dinning chairs and living room furniture weren't ideal. Overall, it was a great stay. Thank you.

My family of 5 stayed here for 3 nights and were happy with our experience. The location was excellent, just a short walk from the lake and very quiet, and the house itself is beautiful. The porch was the highlight for our family, and we spent much of our time in the house sitting out there and playing games.
We had a couple of minor things come up that we followed up with iTrip on, and they were very responsive and helpful. We hope to visit again in the future!

Home is well maintained and quirky. Only complaint and it's super minor was the lack of snow removal. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving holiday weekend and would love to come back during the summer.

The home was clean and had all the kitchen equipment we needed. Questions to the manager were promptly answered. We found the location to work out very well, as there were plenty of hiking trails within 30 minutes and a couple of small towns nearby to visit as well.

My husband and I rented this house for a long weekend away and it was exactly what I wanted for a fall getaway! Everything was clean and cozy. The screened in porch was perfect and the location was so nice. Thank you for hosting such a great place.

We stayed for PSU homecoming weekend and plan to stay again soon . House was spotless when we arrived and had everything we needed. We loved the joinery woodwork inside and screened in porch was great for morning coffee . The drive in is classic New England.

We had a very relaxing stay. A very minor issue on the first evening but the management team got it resolved quickly. House was clean and well set up. We enjoyed the porch, outdoor fire-pit and got to explore the area.
I would return.

Perfect spot for the family to hang. Had terrible weather so spent a good portion just hanging out inside playing games with the kids and made most of our meals at the house. Everyone had a great time and the house was clean and comfortable!

Beautiful clean well maintained cabin, perfect for a week stay in NH. Short walk to Stinson lake. Lake access very limited, small deck overlooking a very nice and clean lake, but no real shoreline to use. Small dock available which was nice but 2 boats moored there which took up most of the space. Parking at lake extremely limited so best to walk from cabin. We did enjoy bringing our lunches and relaxing on the deck at the lake which was nice . Washer & dryer in basement very convenient to use. Short drive to town for food & supplies if needed.
House was well stocked when we arrived, BBQ grill available, and dog friendly which for us was a huge plus. Overall very pleasant stay in a nice quiet location which was what we wanted.

My wife and I had a great stay at Hounds Nest. This well equipped house has everything you need for a great stay! The team was very to communicate with.
It’s very easy to get to some challenging hikes and we enjoyed the well deserved beer in Rumney afterwards.
We will be back for sure!

The kids loved the house. My wife loved the house. We had a relaxing stay off the beaten track.

We had a great stay at this well maintained, spacious cabin in the woods. Everything was as advertised and both checkin and checkout were easy. 2 notes of advice: It is several miles off the beaten path -- get groceries before you make your way from Rt. 3 or Rt. 93. Also it is a solid 45 min from Franconia Notch State Parks -- if that is part of your day, budget that time into your travel. All in all, totally positive and would stay again in a heartbeat.

We stayed the week up at Lake Stinson and it was fantastic. Hounds Nest is a beautiful home and it is well equipped with everything you may need. House was comfortable and very clean. Easy enough to walk to the lake to swim and fish. Nice little welcome package of water and wine was a very nice touch! We have friends that own a home just down the street so it was a perfect location for us to be close to them as well. I highly recommend this place. Everything about it was super easy. We will be back next summer for sure!

The house is simply adorable. We are impressed about the wood joinery and construction of this house. We spent most of the day rock climbing in Rumney. It was nice to come home to this cozy house at the end of day. The host left bottle waters, a bottle of wine and coffee. That is a classy and considerate touch. Everything we need was in the house.

My husband and our hound dog, Molly, went to Hounds Nest for 5 days and had the best time! The post and beam house is beautiful!! Just the right size house! Very nicely stocked!! It was after Labor day so it wasn't as busy as it gets in the summer, which made it even better to sit down on the lake and have our cocktails. We will definitely recommend this property, and hope to go back!

The house was great. It was a short walk/drive to the lake. We would definitely go back again!

We enjoyed our stay at this well built house. Kitchen is well stocked, beds were comfortable. Only criticism is lighting was very dim. We were in town for a wedding. Loved to come back to this house. Very quiet and relaxing. The swimming was wonderful in stinson lake. It's about 5 minute walk, a quarter mile, to the dock on the other side of the road.
8.0 / 10.0
Although the house was great and we really enjoyed our stay the description of the dock area was weak it was actually right off a busy street which made having lunch at the table impossible.

Beautiful stay
Our second time staying in Rumney area. We had lots of fun on the lake ( we had brought our own floats). House very pretty & so clean and had everything we needed. We loved the screened in porch. A short walk to the lake. We hope to return.

Perfect for relaxing
Great location off the lake, very private. House was clean and comfortable. Nice little amenities throughout. Screened in porch was a nice extension of the space. Would definitely return in the warmer weather to enjoy the lake.

Peaceful and Cozy Vacation Spot
Very clean, cozy, quiet rental in a serene woodsy location. My family had been in quarantine for over a year and a half and we wanted a nice spot to rest and relax together. The location was perfect. The rental had all of the things we needed to unplug and have fun together. There were board games and cards available for use as well as a fire pit. We brought folding chairs to use near the fire pit...there is no seating provided by the fire pit so just bring a couple soccer mom chairs and all is well. It was a really nice place to connect with family and recharge. I'm sure we will visit again. This was a perfect home away from home. The Polar Caves are close and the General Store in Rumney had eggs, milk, craft beer and all of the things you may need to avoid a big trip to the grocery store. I almost don't want to tell you how great this property is for fear it won't be available to rent again when we want to come back..

We might move there!!! Love it!
Loved it! Grilled out, had a fire. Loved the screened in porch. Had dinner out there every night
