About this farm stay rental
Come and enjoy this beautiful farm in the completely new open concept farmhouse with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams in the living room adjoining the eat-in kitchen with all the essentials for cooking or preparing your favorite meals. This home offers an ensuite master with a queen bed and gorgeous claw foot tub in addition to a tile shower. There is a separate bedroom with another queen bed and full bath to sleep a total of 4 comfortably. Enjoy the huge screened in rear porch while relaxing in the hot tub, then venture outdoors to the fire pit area with seating for everyone.
All of this is sitting on the 200 acre operating farm that is conveniently located minutes from where you can spend the day enjoying nearby attractions such as Desoto State Park, Desoto Falls, Mentone, AL., Little River Canyon, Historic Downtown Fort Payne, Alabama Fan Club Museum, Shady Grove Dude Ranch and more!
All of this is sitting on the 200 acre operating farm that is conveniently located minutes from where you can spend the day enjoying nearby attractions such as Desoto State Park, Desoto Falls, Mentone, AL., Little River Canyon, Historic Downtown Fort Payne, Alabama Fan Club Museum, Shady Grove Dude Ranch and more!

The couch was terrible. Needs to be replaced and the beds were pretty but when you laid down you could feel the metal slats. Not comfortable. Also one of the beds needs to be King. We would love to come back if these items were taken care of.

We had the most peaceful weekend here. I have never stayed in a VRBO as clean as this one. It truly looked like we were among the first to ever stay here. We loved the fire pit area, hot tub, and front porch swing. It is so quiet outside, and even a car passing by was a rare occurrence. We talked to one of the farm workers, and we got to see a baby calf just 4 hours old. The worker even gave us some fresh eggs. We did not communicate with the property manager while we were there, but communication during the booking process was speedy. There were a few maintenance items that did not affect the quality of our stay, so we didn’t bother anyone with them while we were there. The couch does not have legs, so it sits low to the ground. Makes getting up or using the coffee table as a foot rest more challenging. One couch pillow torn badly at the seam. No cold water at the kitchen sink. Towel hook outside of shower in master bath was not attached to the wall.
Truly this place is worth the stay, and we will stay here again! If you want to get away from the the craziness of your daily life, this is the place for you.

I don’t think you could find a more peaceful setting. We enjoyed every amenity! We even got to get up close with the cows. The farm manager, Steven, was exceptionally friendly and very thoughtful. The drive to downtown Fort Payne is scenic and easy. We will be back as soon as possible! A couple of things I’d like to recommend is water filters for the showers and kitchen sink because the water up here is very chemically treated and very harsh on the skin and not drinkable, we brought spring water with to drink. The second recommendation is to not use fragrances in the laundry detergent, the smell of the sheets/bedding was just so strong, and I’m very sensitive to artificial fragrances and perfumes. All in all this place was exactly what we needed to unwind and get away from our businesses. Thank you owners for creating this exceptional environment. BB & Bud

Very nice and quiet place to stay! The location was great being adjacent to Desoto State Park and close to Ft Payne and Mentone. Highly suggest the Tigers Inn restaurant in Valley Head! Food was great!

The farmhouse decor was nicely done. Having the back screened in porch was a plus. Beds and sheets are so comfortable! We loved it here and would stay again.

From the time we opened the door, we knew it was going to be perfect. This is probably one of the cleanest houses I have ever rented! The kitchen was stocked well for a weekend, the fire pit was amazing and the hot tub was so clean! We usually are nervous about enjoying them but this one was so clean you could tell it was taken care of.

The Farmhouse at Desoto Farms is such an amazing location if you are looking for luxury accommodations in a quiet, secluded setting. My husband and I loved this rental and will definitely be back. The farmhouse was spotless and very comfortable. There were plenty of bath linens, hot tub towels. and soft throw blankets. The bedding was extremely comfortable. The kitchen was adequately supplied for our needs. I would suggest some glass plates for the microwave. We loved the views, peace and quiet, fire pit, and hot tub. The farmhouse is about a mile from Desoto State Park and is not a bad drive from Chattanooga and other activities in the area. Restaurants were nearby. Check out the Tigers Inn in Valley Head. It was one of our favorites. The only recommendation that I would have would be to add a stackable washer/dryer. The state park(one mile from the farmhouse) does provided for laundry if needed.

This is a great little home. We had to be on Ft. Payne for a tournament and stay a lot in Mentone. This home put us closer to the venue. It is so quiet and and the views are so beautiful.

This house is very nice and I have to compliment the property owners for the welcoming feeling that I received immediately upon arrival! The use of reclaimed wood, decorative antiques, and general décor was just excellent! I thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would highly recommend this house! The stay was very relaxing and very comfortable. During this stay, we did not use the hot-tub, so I cannot comment on that, but we did use the charcoal grill and the firepit and both of these enabled us to have a nice meal and enjoy the stars in a crystal clear Alabama evening!
The owner/host was wonderful and VERY responsive when I communicated with him. The wonderfully-kind hospitality of host-family/owners was apparent in all things about the house and this made our stay very pleasant! Thank you for your outstanding hospitality! I look forward to returning in the future!

Wanted to get away for our 10 year anniversary and this was the place. The pictures don't do it justice! They pay attention to detail and supply you with things you may need during your stay. Great place to relax and get away or just recharge. Didn't hear anything it was so quiet. Loved being so close to the park,also the town is a short drive away.
