Look no further: you’ve found the private mountain hideaway of your dreams, tucked into the pines. Inside the home, you’ll find a homey mountain aesthetic, complete with a wood stove. Solid acacia hand-scraped wood floors throughout the main living space. If the weather is nice, step onto the wraparound deck for your morning coffee before beginning breakfast prep. The quiet, rural setting will put you into vacation mode immediately.
This home is also dog-friendly, so if you’ve brought the family pup, take her for a walk in the neighborhood before your day begins. Back inside, the kitchen features granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and a Jen-Air downdraft stove, as well as all the gadgets and counter space you need to whip up something delicious. Eat together at the dining table for six, or keep it casual at one of the four barstools at the breakfast bar.
After you eat, head out to explore. There’s hiking, biking, snowmobiling, skiing, cross country skiing and more. If you prefer to stay home, a private ping pong table and dart board await in the garage.
After a full day out, return to your cozy nest and get that wood stove crackling. You’ve got free cable, a DVD player with a DVD library, six TVs, and streaming capabilities to keep you entertained. The lower level features an oversized sectional and tall table, perfect for a board game or cards if you’re looking for more together time, and the loft features a TV with a Playstation 2. Beautiful cabin, spacious, conveniently located. Would have been perfect if not visiting during the summer months. No portable cooling system or window coverings to keep the heat out. Too hot to enjoy. Definitely would visit again in another season.

We stayed at this property last year and decided to stay again and bring some friends. Everyone loved it!

Great location. VERY quiet neighborhood this time of year.

The house provided us a very peaceful and relaxing base for our visit to the Big Trees and surrounding areas. The neighborhood is quiet and if you're quiet and observant you can spot a fox foraging in the brush or fallen trees.

I would like to start with saying that my family and I did have a wonderful time despite the issues we encountered with the cabin. The place was in a great location and we were lucky enough to see some snow fall. With that being said, the cleanliness was sub par along with the amenities. We were without power for 24 hours during our trip and there were no candles and only one flashlight. Thankfully there was a fireplace but there wasn’t a lighter on sight . No water glasses to drink out of and no soap to wash the other dishes with. A very friendly lady named Jolene came with glasses and dish soap once it was addressed. The owners may want to address the cleanliness issue with the cleaning company. Other than those things, my family did enjoy the atmosphere and spending the weekend together.

-We loved this place! Very spacious, clean, comfortable and ideally located between Murphys wine trail and ski slopes at Bear Valley! Can use new furnishings, but overall great value!

Great property with plenty of space and nice bathrooms as well. My husband and I went for our 1 year wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. We'll be staying there again! Loved the wood burning stove, worked like a charm.

Plenty of room for all of us and the third bathroom meant there was no waiting! The neighborhood and neighbors are all lovely. The state park with the big trees is just around the corner. I highly recommend!

Home was very well kept and clean. However, because it is pet friendly, the downstairs especially smelt like dog pee. I think they may need to replace the rug in the very downstairs living room. We didnt spend anytime in that room due to the overwhelming smell of urine. Other than that, the home was great!!!

Beautiful Property! Everything was great except the A/C unit didn't work and the Ping Pong/Fooz ball tables showed on the listing were both broken.

The Home was beautiful and spacious for 6 adults! The refrigerator was spotless and clean! The kitchen was great and stocked with cooking equipment.... In the pictures you will see a foosball table ( it is destroyed and has been for quite awhile 😢) The ping pong table in the garage is on it's last leg 😢. The AC hardly works 😭😭😭.... Definitely worth going for a fall vacation or winter time... Definitely Not Summer

This house was really comfortable, nicely designed, bright and roomy, and in a good location. The kitchen is very nice, though you might want to bring one good pan if you're not a fan of non-stick. Beds and couches were comfortable and the place was spotless. There were 6 of us, 2 couples and 2 kids, and the bedroom arrangement worked fine with the kids in the room with all the twins. The twin room shares a bathroom with the upstairs bedroom, and a wall, so if you want more space from kids, this might not be what you're after, but it didn't matter to us. There's space outside the house between homes for snow play where we walked with the dog, that not every place has. We only saw one car on the road that leads to the house, and most of the other homes were empty, so you get lots of space outside. This place would go for a lot more in Tahoe, you get a lot for your money. Allowing dogs was a big bonus.
That all being said, we weren't so happy with the inflexibility of Vacasa who wouldn't allow us a late checkout. The 10 am checkout time is ridiculously early for your weekend getaway, but don't expect any leniency. We had to purchase another day to leave later. Also, it would have been nice if the place was warmed a little more above freezing before we arrived. A wifi connected thermostat would go a long way to making arrival nicer. Thankfully the heater worked well. You'll have to bring wood for the wood stove. The driveway was fine.
We'd definitely go back!

We had a nice weekend at the cabin. Went for a walk on a nearby forest road one day, and drove up to bear valley the second day for sledding.
My only complaint would be that the house was 42 degrees when we arrived on Friday. It took 4+ hours to warm it up, with heater and wood stove. I was glad we got there earlier in the evening so we had time to warm the house, otherwise it would have made for a VERY cold first night!

The bedrooms were a good size and the master was very nice. The main room was large and the kitchen was well equipped.

The house was in a great location. Easy access right off of Highway 4. Everything was clean and the kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. The folks at Vacasa were responsive. I would definitely stay here again!

Everything was very clean and it was well described. I don't know if the ac actually worked. It did start getting hot until the day we left so it was not a big deal. A couple of the ping pong paddle broken but other than that it was awesome.

Beautiful home
It was a beautiful home, check in was hard because it said to unlock the door on floor level, that key didn't work for that door, luckily my boyfriend figured let's try a different door, and it finally worked upstairs. Lower level floor was freezing, heating vent had pink insulation coming through it and the heat never came through so we didn't spend much time downstairs. Overall it was a nice stay.
