We really enjoyed our stay & wish we had scheduled more down time at the house. Plenty of space for all 6 of us, house was well-stocked and clean, with books, games, places to store clothes, comfortable beds. Loved having the outdoor picnic table and chairs. Easy drive to Glacier NP, Whitefish, and nearby airport. The owner provided tons of information about local restaurants and notes about visiting the national park and was very responsive. Would definitely return.

My brothers and I did a sibling 3-day vacation! The house was perfect for us, one of my brothers is handicap and the house worked out wonderful. The owners were so kind and always quick on response. The neighborhood was quiet, we enjoyed a small walk around the area!! It was a great trip!

We were super pleased with everything about the Avocado Abode! We rented the place to visit both Glacier National Park and Whitefish and it was the perfect location. Just minutes from the West Entrance of the park and a short, easy drive into Whitefish. We rode touring bikes to explore the park, and we absolutely loved the big 2 car garage! The home was very nicely stocked with kitchen items and pretty much everything you'd need to cook with. The couch and beds and linens were nice and comfy and the driveway and property was super accommodating for the vehicles. Location was super awesome to a couple great restaurants (Backslope was amazing and the breakfast at Columbia Bar on Sunday was inexpensive but really superb). Communication with the owners was top notch. I really can't think of a single bad thing to share, it was truly a great place. THANK YOU!!!!!!

The Avocado house was the perfect property for us! We came to enjoy the National Park and this was the perfect home base. We had 8 people, a baby and a very small dog. There were plenty of beds for all. The young adults loved the downstairs space. It was super clean and remodeled exactly as specified in the listing. We used the bikes, the fire pit for snores and had an enough space to just chill. The master bedroom and bath were amazing. The hosts were very quick to respond to all our needs. Hope to return soon!

We loved our stay at the Avocado Adobe and our three kids (12, 10, and 8) loved the theme - especially the light-up avocado in their "Avocado Cave."
This house was a great layout for our family of five and, candidly, wish we would have stayed longer. It is a great location to visit Whitefish as well as Glacier National Park. It is close to groceries, restaurants, etc. and is a great home base.
The kitchen was very functional with plenty of space and a nice dining room table. The bedrooms were all nice sizes with comfortable beds and ample closet space. The laundry facility was a huge plus given all of our hikes and outdoor adventures and has plenty of rooms with newer appliances.
Overall, the hosts were very communicative and you definitely feel like they share your excitement for your trip. We stayed at five houses on our three week journey and this one was the best in terms of making us feel welcome.

Avocado Abode was a fantastic landing pad for our two families (4 adults, 4 kids). Everything was perfectly arranged, clean, and exactly as listed. Communication from Darren and Leslie was fantastic and responsive, they anticipated all of our needs. We greatly enjoyed the lovely backyard and yard toys, and the basement bunk room was perfect for our kids. They were smitten with the avocados! Highly recommend!

âś… Very clean and comfortable house (I am convinced that there was not a speck of dust in this house! Kept cool at night and felt safe in the neighborhood.)
âś… Great location (for traveling to Kalispell, Whitefish, Glacier National Park, etc. Also about 3 minutes away from the Super 1 grocery store, open 24 hours.)
âś… Excellent communication with host (Darren and Leslie sent several messages prior to our stay that were very helpful and detailed.)
My husband and I stayed at the Avocado Abode last week- June 10-14th. We have been looking forward to coming back to Montana for the past three years and I am so glad that we booked this house!
It was the most welcoming and clean vrbo house that my husband and I have stayed in. The kitchen had all of the necessities for cooking and there was plenty of counter space. The blackout curtains and comfortable beds guaranteed good sleep every night. The AC unit kept the living room and bedroom comfortable all throughout the day and night, and downstairs stayed cold! Located in a nice, quiet neighborhood and In an excellent location to travel to Kalispell, Whitefish, and Glacier National Park.
The effort put into this house was clearly noticeable and every room. My husband and I can’t wait to visit Montana again. When we do, we are specifically going to search for this house to hopefully stay here again. We are so glad we found the Avocado Abode! 🥑

My husband, myself and my daughter spent 5 wonderful nights in the Avocado Abode. The owners have done a fantastic job of bringing this 100 year old home back to life. Very quiet neighborhood…felt totally safe. The home itself has everything you might need. Super cute and comfy. I will definitely stay here again!

We just got back from a week visiting GNP. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Avocado Abode! All communications with Darren were clear and helpful. He’s a very nice person who wanted our stay to be great. Check-in was simple, as was check-out. The house was VERY well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. We didn’t even have to buy condiments or paper products. The house/beds were clean and comfortable.
The location worked very well for us. The drive to GNP was easy.
We enthusiastically recommend The Avocado Abode!

We had friends visiting from Italy and we wanted to take them to Glacier and the surrounding area. The Avocado Abode was the perfect place. It worked perfectly for our party of 7 and had all the amenities we needed. We were able to cook and prepare our meals without any issues. The teenagers enjoyed the bikes and lawn games and we also enjoyed the fireplace outside in the evening. Communication with the host was easy and very friendly. We will definitely use the Avocado Abode the next time!! Thank you!!

Darren and Leslie provided a completely hassle free experience. Their property was well kept, clean and provided everything one would expect. They went above and beyond expectations with additional information about Glacier NP, and the Columbia Falls area. The proximity to Glacier and Whitefish makes it a convenient property. I would not hesitate to book it in the future!

I can not say enough good things about this property!! This property was immaculate (I’m super
picky too) and even had “vacuum lines” as we entered!
We were a mixed aged family group 65(2), 40(2), 20,13,9,6,2 and there was a space for everyone! We really appreciated the amazing lower level space with bunk beds, 2 twin beds and a sleeper sofa!
This house really thought of the small things that make a property 5 stars!
- the towels were extra large and plush and there were so many that everyone could use as many as they wanted
- beach towels were provided for any excursion and were very helpful when our 6 yo would get in any water we passed
- better than average shower heads were nice and powerful
- supplied nice shampoo, conditioner and Dove body wash
-large soaking tub
-spices being present were helpful
-baby gate was such a nice touch
-ample laundry detergent, dryer sheets and even stain spray
-black towels for face washing
-lots of games to play and borrow after a day of hiking
- lots of books for relaxing and KID books for a bedtime story
Communication was amazing!
- answered any question I had and gave great hike and food recommendations
- responded quickly to any question
- let us know how to check in and it worked great for us
House was about 20/25 min to west glacier entrance which was super nice
There was so much to do in the area will definitely stay here when we come back to Glacier! What a gem to find!!

Nothing glamerous here, just fresh & clean with good experience overall. Hosts are very available to answer questions. Our group was my husband & self + our 2 adult sons. Home's downstairs bedroom is - probably - best for younger kids but worked out ok for our 6'2" son! There's no bathroom downstairs (both upstairs) so can be awkward for middle of the night bathroom breaks. Regardless, home is very well stocked with great linens & kitchen has everything needed & looked barely used. They owners arre very thoughtful with how their vrbo is set up for their guests' enjoyment. Winner!

Everything was ready for us. Beautiful clean home. The owners were so amazingly great and were quick to communicate anytime I needed help. I would live to stay here everytime I go back to Montana.

My fiancé and I stayed here for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. Darren and Leslie were amazing hosts! They were super thorough! They really did think of everything! You can tell they put a lot of thought into the stay for their guests! Everything we needed to know they provided to us before the stay and even included a small handbook with some suggestions as well! We appreciated their team and how cleanly the place was! Rebecca (their cleaner) does keep the place very tidy and everything was easy to find! Upon arrival, we were having some issues getting in and the neighbor, Thane, was very quick to come help and the issue was resolved very quickly! Darren was on top of everything! Thane was also very kind and was willing to give advice about Glacier since it was our first time! We loved this location! The location was right in the middle of everything, you don’t need to travel too far for anything really! (Some places are walking distance even!) It was about 20 minutes from the West entrance of Glacier National Park! Unfortunately they started construction before our stay, so we didn’t get to see Logan’s Pass, Apgar, Avalanche Lake, and the West side of the Going to the Sun Road. The hosts did mention the closure to us before our stay! We did still explore some of the west side of the park and we even ventured to the east side of the park as well for some trails and to go on the Going to the Sun Road. Make sure if you’re coming in the summer that you get a vehicle pass for the Going to the Sun Road as this is new! We were the first guests to use the Google Nest and the temperature at the house was great, it was regulated at certain times of the day (7am-10pm and cool temp change at 10pm-7am)! We also appreciated that they were willing to change the temps during the stay! They have a ton of great amenities, one being the jacuzzi bathtub, which was great after a hike! The rain shower and fireplace was also nice! They have tons of games for the family or even for a rainy day in! They had a great book selection too! Loved the leave a book take a book concept! One of my favorite parts of the stay was all the fun avocado themed things they had! This stay really made me feel right at home the moment I arrived, I felt sad I was leaving at the end of my stay! A must stay if you’re wanting to venture the area! I highly recommend staying here! Will definitely be coming back to the Avocado Adobe in the future! 🥑

Darren and Leslie have done a great job with the Avocado Abode and are very responsive to any questions. The house is very clean, well kept and welcoming. It has everything you need for your stay. The neighborhood was great for long walks with the pups. And the location is perfect for visits to Glacier National Park and Whitefish.

Once upon a time a brother (age 66) invited his sister (age 75) and their spouses to vacation together to reconnect and see Glacier National Park. We clicked our heels and found ourselves in Avocado Land, a place that would make nearly all other VRBO homes green with envy.
Daily we sat in the backyard in the cool of the late afternoon with hors d'oeuvres and drinks, reliving the day's adventures. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and serve our favorite meals to one another. Around the dinning room table each evening we revisited our childhood memories, always with laughter and occasionally with tears.
At the end of each full day we found our beds to be as comfortable as our very own. And the master bathroom, we had to arm wrestle over to see who would get it. A fabulous room. Each bedroom and the living room had large, new tv's but we didn't have the time or energy to turn them on.
We were disappointed in only one thing, that we couldn't stay longer. We wanted to extend our stay and experience but there was only one additional night available before the next guest arrived. A pity for us but a joy for the new guests. Of course we stayed the extra day!
Darren and Leslie clearly want to earn a 5-star rating and it showed in every possible way. Their communication was quick and supportive. The time and resources they have put into making their home a warm and inviting oasis is obvious to even the most casual observer.
I wish I could give it an additional 6th star!

Our family came up to Columbia Falls to base camp for a weekend in Glacier and the delightful Avocado Abode didn’t disappoint! We all slept and showered well, enjoyed the numerous and interesting adult and children’s books for all to enjoy, the yard games, and the central location. The kids loved finding all of the little avocado details as well! Thanks for a great stay!

Excellent up-to-date home. We felt very welcome, with lots of extra touches that were unexpected, but appreciated. The location is ideal, with close access to dining, as well as only a 17 minute drive to the entrance of Glacier National Park. The owners do their best to communicate with you to ensure a wonderful stay.

Nice place with lots of extras. I gave it a four because the oven was not working, and we were depending on it for cooking meals.

The Avocado Abode was exactly what our family was looking for!
We appreciated all of the care Darren & Leslie took in creating the perfect home away from home. It was clean, had plenty of room to stretch out, and a great space to eat dinners together & play games. The kitchen had everything you could need, we liked having a full-size washer & dryer, and the beds were very comfortable! The "take one, leave one" library and the house games/puzzles they provide are an added bonus!
We spent the majority of our time in Glacier National Park, this was the perfect home base as it was a short drive to the park and it was within a mile of several places including a grocery store and Dairy Queen!

Great place to stay near glacier national park
The house is about 30 minutes from the west entrance to glacier national park and only about 10 minutes from whitefish. The house was very well stocked and in great condition. The beds were comfortable (which you don’t always find with rentals). We would definitely recommend this house to friends and family.

Perfect getaway
Everything from the location to the thoughtful details the host has in this home was wonderful! The basement captivated my little ones. They had games, book and even a sweet stuffy on the bunk beds. Loved our stay!

Great family friendly house, easy access to Glacier
This is a newly renovated house that was the perfect size for our family of four. Our boys loved the big downstairs “kid” bedroom. It had everything we needed. The house is located in a neighborhood that is a bit run down right near the main drag, so the setting wasn’t anything to write home about. We weren’t spending much time at the house though so that was fine. If you’re looking for a good base for GNP, the Avacado abode is great!

Didn’t disappoint
Great hosts! Great place that is better than the photos! Close to Glacier National Park.

Great Home Base for Glacier Adventures
The Avocado Abode is awesome! The recent remodel is excellent and made the home a fantastic base for our adventures in Glacier and the surrounding area. Darren & Leslie were fantastic hosts and had great recommendations for local restaurants and activities. The home had everything we needed for our family to fully enjoy our trip. When we return to Glacier, we'll definitely stay here again.

Travel with family
The Avocado house is a cute place to stay. It was great for traveling with children. Plenty of space on the lower level for children to sleep and play. Close enough to Glacier Park, Whitefish and Flathead National Park for day trips.
