About this house rental
Starr Dust 2- Luxury on the beach! This tastefully decorated 6bd 4ba duplex sits directly on the Gulf with breathtaking views of the Gulf from all 3 balconies. As you enter this home there is access to the residential elevator, queen bed, washer & dryer, and industrial ice maker. On the first floor is where you will find the kitchen, fully stocked and ready for all of your cooking needs, the dining area, living room, full bathroom, and one queen bedroom. Second floor hosts a king suite with an ensuite master bathroom. The second bedroom on this floor hosts two double beds and an ensuite bathroom. The third floor hosts two bedrooms with queen sized beds. The fourth bathroom is located on the third floor as well. Flat screen TVs in 5 of the 6 bedrooms (The very bottom floor bedroom). The outdoor area has been designed with you in mind! Large hot tub/Spas, ample bar area and seating, and a gas grill to make the most of your stay enjoying the beautiful beach!

We loved the location...we had an infant and no need to travel far. We ate at local restaurants and enjoyed each one. I would return to this location for another vacay.

We had 10 people and enjoyed fully. The grill was shot but they brought us a new one before time to cook. Very quick responses.

The ice maker didn’t work, we reported it, none fixed it or call us back to explain the problem.

This location checked a lot of boxes for us with the diverse group we had, baby and elderly grandparent. However, we found it extremely lacking. Basic things like a broom or a potholder. A teenager who wanted to sleep on the sofa had no pillow or sheet, or blanket to do so. In 20 years I've rented many units and have never needed to bring a hair dryer but in all the bathrooms, there was not one to be found. The elevator was unreliable, as in most of the time it did not work. Sliding glass door to the outside on the main floor does not latch and there is no safety bar. So guest or left to figure out a way to lock up. Bedroom door in the king room does not latch so if you need privacy to get dressed, you have to use the bathroom. So many things. This place could be so wonderful if someone would take pride in caring for it. If someone would think about the guest experience. Instead, it is a sad case of offering the absolute bare minimum.

We had a great relaxing stay. Everything was neat and clean and well decorated. We had fun cooking and sitting on the balconies watching the amazing sunsets and sunrises. Private pathway to beach was an added bonus. Loved it!

This property is a duplex. Nothing wrong with that, except that it is never mentioned in the description - only in the reviews.
Nowhere was it mentioned that this 4-story beach house had an elevator! Again. Only mentioned in the reviews.
Unfortunately, the elevator was inoperative for the bulk of our trip. Fortunately, it was working on our move-in and move-out days!
It seemed to be a temperamental piece of machinery, but it kept one of our family members from coming to stay with us from Jacksonville since she was dependent on using her walker.
But the layout, furnishings, and all the amenities could not have been better!
It was a beautiful place to call our home away from home for our week between Christmas and New Year's.
The folks at Forgotten Coast Property Management were pleasant and helpful! (especially Bryony and Christina!).
I would go back - especially if the residential elevator issues are resolved.

House was beautiful there were a few things I wish I had known, first there is not a garbage disposal ( who does that there days ?) please bring yourself some knives there’s are terrible. If you have a house that sleeps 14 there should be a kitchen table big enough for 14 and the kitchen is super small , no more than 2 at a time in there, also not enough seating in the living room. 2 of the bedrooms have no closets. There were 10 of us.. all women and the bathrooms were convenient and large enough to get ready. The management company was very accommodating and professional. They allowed an early check in without charging extra. I had trouble working elevator and Christine personall came over and showed us how to use it

Unfortunately, they didn't provide basic and nonexpensive things like beach chairs and umbrella, salt, pepper, oil, washer powder, dishwasher powder, so we needed to go shopping multiple times to buy cheap stuff. In a million-dollar beach house, they should spend 10 bucks on essentials to make it comfortable! Second, they have a very annoying check-in and out system: we had to pick up and give back the physical keys to the manager office! Time consuming, annoying and absolutely unnecessary!

The decor was beautiful and the views from each room were amazing. The only
Complaint I had was the master shower did not work which was a little inconvenient. We had to use the smaller shower in the room across from the master. There were some small spiders and roaches on the master floor. I would recommend some raid spray or something to deter bugs. We bought raid. The bathroom on the den level smelt like a port-a potty. I would recommend checking the plumbing or an air freshener and fix the door where it opens all the way. Overall, it’s beautiful new decor and views from each room were breath taking. Oh, one other thing pertaining to the neighbors. They used all 3 of our trash cans in addition to theirs so a letter on the door or taped to refrigerator for each half would be helpful telling others that you CANNOT use your neighbors trash cans. You each get 3. Thanks!
