About this house rental
Oceanfront home, with heated pool 6 BR, 5 B. Main floor: BD1 – K, BD2 – Q, 2nd floor: BD3 – Q & T, BD4 – bunkbeds 2F & 2T, BD5 – K, BD6 – K. This beautiful one of a kind home is designed to capture the beautiful views of the ocean and sunsets, and provides a perfect setting for a family beach vacation. Superb waterfront location provides direct, private beach access. Elevator to the main floor. Gourmet kitchen with drip coffee maker, blender, crock pot, tea kettle, and toaster. There is a washer / dryer, 2 refrigerators (1 kitchen, 1 garage), 7 cable TVs, wireless high-speed internet. Covered and open decks with porch furniture, including rockers, 3 enclosed outside showers, gas grill, EV charger and more!

*DO NOT open windows or leave doors open. Humidity damages the home and makes renter stay uncomfortable. Owner receives alerts from humidity alarms when windows and doors are left open. Renters will be notified immediately to remediate. If alerts persist, damage deposit will not be returned
*No fireworks or firearms are permitted on the property. If either are found on the premises, occupancy will be terminated without refund or return of deposit
We cannot guarantee the elevator will be working due to circumstances out of our control. Please read elevator instructions CAREFULLY before operating (found in the notebook in home). User error will result in a service charge. No children are allowed in the elevator unsupervised. Use at your own risk.
Pool and/or Spa is private and unattended, so swim at your own risk. All children must be supervised in the water at all time by an adult. No food, drinks, alcohol, glass, etc are allowed in or around the pool. Pools are serviced weekly. Please keep in mind that due to tropical nature of the island, it is not unusual to find unexpected debris and sand in the pool.
The pool is open year round. The heater typically keeps the pool water between 80-84 degrees April 1 - Oct 31 depending on outside air temperatures and weather. There is no additional cost to heat the pool, but we can not guarantee the pool water temperatures due to the dependency of the weather and air temperatures. Please keep in mind that the heater only runs when the pump runs and typically the pump does not run at night due to timers.
*Please note, pools will NOT be heated November 1 - March 31, NO EXCEPTIONS*
If your *check in date* is on or between Memorial Day and Labor Day, your cleaning fee does include whole house linen and towel rental fee. All beds will be made up upon arrival with top and fitted sheets, pillow cases, and 1 set of towels will be provided per person (1 set includes: 1 body towel, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth), and a kitchen towel.
**In the off-season (Labor Day - Memorial Day), linens and towels are NOT included in your reservation and are an optional additional fee of $250 at the time of booking. You can choose to bring your own linens and towels, or rent through a third party. (Last minute bookings: We need at least 24-hour notice in order to provide linens!)**
We provide a basic starter pack of essentials for your first day including a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, hand soap, a roll of paper towels in the kitchen, and a trash can liner per bin.

Perfect home for a family gathering. This is our sixth year that we have enjoyed this home for our family beach gathering. We really enjoyed the addition of the pool this year

We rented License to Chill for my husband’s 50 birthday celebration. It was spacious enough for 6 different families to spend quality time together! There was an issue with A/C, but it was dealt with in a timely manner. We are trying to make a weekend at LTC a yearly gathering!

Perfect house for the perfect week to celebrate my 60th Birthday with my spouse, my kids and their spouses, and 3 grands. Not one problem during the stay, and the house was fantastic! Can’t wait to go back!

Great location, communication great. We had an emergency with our dog sitter they returned call very quickly. Some cleaning issues but overall not bad. Did not like pool.

We stayed with 6 adults and 4 grandkids under 12. The whole house was well laid out with bedrooms up and down. The kids enjoyed the pool although it is small. Elevator worked well. Enjoyed our stay!

My father decided this year instead of Christmas gifts his children and grandchildren were going on our first extended family vacation together. We had an AMAZING time! The house was perfect for our family of 13. The weather turned out beautiful after the first day. The beach was unbelievable. The neighbors were very friendly. We even met a special friend that was fishing everyday and shared all his fish and turtles he caught with the kids. We had all the amenities we could have needed for the week. It was our first time boogie boarding and wave jumping. The wine slushies, mini golf and little shops were wonderful! I hope to come back again some day!!

The License to Chill is a beautiful property with a beautiful view of the ocean. While off season, we purchased the linen plan and all was delivered on time, as promised. Extra refrigerator in the garage downstairs was a nice touch for beverages and leftovers. Read the instructions and the elevator worked flawlessly. Property was clean, apparently sanitized and available as agreed. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property and management company.

Had a great stay! Family of 12 had beautiful home with perfect accommodations. One thing that didn’t give 5 stars was the elevator. Buttons inside didn’t work and was a problem due to the fact that my dad is 82 and couldn’t climb stairs and was one of the questions I raised when booking that was not resolved.

Overall the property was in good condition. Impressed with the organization of the kitchen. Everything we needed. Location was perfect. We really enjoyed the porch and proximity to the beach. Only thing is we could not get the bedroom TVs to work. Thank you for renting to my family. Happy New Year.

We had the family here for Thanksgiving and wow what views. The place was very well stocked and the beds comfortable. The house was very much as pictured and clean. As others have stated the elevator is a little tricky to start, but very useful for getting luggage and groceries upstairs. I look forward to the new fireplace area as that did not work, but the weather was warm enough that we really didn’t need it this trip. I would definitely recommend to others. Thanks for letting us stay!

We were very pleased with the property. Location is wonderful and the house was ready when we got there. It wasn't a huge deal because we figured out how to make it work, but the elevator controls inside the car did not work. We found that the external controls did work, so it was okay. Elevator operation was critical for this stay. Lots of helpful notes on the refrigerator. The house was perfect for our group.

We had a wonderful time at License to Chill. Everything was as promised in the promotion. We had plenty of room for 14, the kitchen was well-equipped, beds were comfortable, porches were great. Elevator required two people to operate, so that was a slight inconvenience, but doable. Must go up to the front door to use the code, rather than having entry at the lower level.

It was easy! There were no glitches from booking to departure. The house was ready on time and provided ample sleeping and eating areas for our party of 14. The floor plan also allowed for privacy and noise control when needed. The owner was very responsive the few times we needed to contact him directly. Thank you!

Pleasant welcoming property, made us feel at home the minute we walked in. Forget a chair? There are some in the garage. Raining today? There are board games waiting for your entertainment. Great location, would recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My only suggestion is adding hand rails on the main bath on the main level. You have a beautiful new walk in shower but it proved challenging for my 89 year old parents. Hope to stay again in the future

Long weekend stay
The house was lovely. It was right on the beach and would make a great stay any time of year. The kitchen was well stocked with almost any appliances one would need. There’s a great bunk bed room for kids.
There’s a fireplace in the great room, but we couldn’t use it because of the furniture placement. The rule book says that you’re not to rearrange the furniture.
The rental company representative for the owners was very quick to respond when needed.
There was a problem with the tv cable service in all of the rooms. The maintenance couple who came to address the problem were great (!), but it was an inconvenience for our party.
There are a couple of things that some renters may want to know. 1)The check in email you’ll receive is not from the same email you get the confirmation from and it won’t have the code for getting in the door on the ground floor. That code is in the book of rules in the house. 2)The elevator is not reliable. If it is something that your guests must have, then this is not the house for you.

This house was beautiful! Easy access to the beach. The house was even better than the online pictures. Plenty of room for our group of 13. We enjoyed the back deck and the large eating area. We like to do our own cooking, and this was the best equipped kitchen we have ever seen. Mike was very helpful and we had just the right amount of communication to know what to expect. Great week at the beach!

Family Returns for 2nd Year!
Our entire family of 14 returned to this beautiful home on Ocean Isle Beach for the second straight year. The oceanfront home has incredible views and access to the beach. The Stewards are very gracious hosts and have made our family feel at home. We actually stayed at the home for the entire week ... even a couple cool and rainy days were enjoyable from the comfortable porches and decks. We enjoyed all of oour meals there without having to go out to restaurants. You don't want to leave. We have so many great memories from these past two years and highly recommend this "home away from home" for our family!

Wonderful week at the beach
We had a fabulous week at Ocean Isle Beach. Eleven family members came to celebrate our parents' 60th wedding anniversary, and could not have dreamed of a better location in which to hold the celebration. The home is exactly like the pictures and we found the kitchen well appointed. The beach and water were beautiful and the location of the home and beach access were unparalleled. Check-in was simple and the everything worked exactly as it should. We did not do much outside of enjoying the home and the beach because of COVID; however, we did not feel like we missed anything at all.
