About this house rental
This private hinterland hideaway is located in the quiet Byron Shire village of Myocum, halfway between Byron and Mullumbimby, nestled in lush subtropical rainforest and unspoilt Hinterland. The Hideout House sleeps up to 10 with 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms across a generous Queenslander homestead.
Despite the seclusion, it’s just a short 7-minute drive to the bustling village of Bangalow, where shopping, coffee and markets await. Drive 10 minutes to Byron Hinterland village of Federal and grab lunch at the world-famous Doma cafe. Alternatively, a 15 minute car ride will take you to Byron Bay or Brunswick Heads, swim or surf at some of the world’s most stunning beaches, try the iconic Byron Bay paddock to plate experience at The Farm (5 minutes), check out some of the unique and local designer shops and sample some world-class cuisine and coffee.
Overlooking the stunning hinterland profile of Mt Warning, catch the breeze on the verandah or enjoy cooking in the full size kitchen with a truly striking view of the Byron Shire. With multiple social spaces and a stunning brand new 15m swimming pool there will be little reason to leave. The full kitchen is perfect for cooking at home where long afternoon barbecues will merge into sunset drinks.
The entire house can easily fit two families. Upstairs comprises of a king size bedroom, 2 queen size bedrooms, a twin single room, sunroom with 2 single beds, spacious main bathroom with freestanding bath and 2nd separate toilet. These rooms spill out onto the large communal living and dining areas. Downstairs is 2nd bathroom, laundry plus a rumpus room with table tennis - a perfect hangout for the kids after a long day at the beach.
There is a full size functional laundry, plenty outside space and parking making this secluded home a perfect coastal hinterland retreat.

The property was very beautiful. There was one bedroom downstairs which had very bad damp smell so we could not use the bedroom. The pool was unuseable as it was not covered and full of small insects. There was one fry pan which was rusted. So small issues. The contact people Deb and Sarah were very good
