The house was clean, nicely decorated and CONVENIENT to where we needed to be (Winthrop University and the Oratory). We were only there to sleep and eat breakfast. It was very nice with no real problems. It was a quiet neighborhood (no dogs barking through the night as a few reviews stated). You could hear the early morning train (thus the house's name) but it was in the distance and I found it comforting not annoying. I don't think it would even wake an infant. Maybe next time we will have time to explore the area. ❤️

We stayed here for our son's college graduation. It was a perfect resting place - great porch, lovely decor, super comfy beds, and 1.5 baths. We would definitely stay here again!

The house is cute. Inside was clean but two of three bed were squeaky. Lots of towels in the bathroom which is always nice. Kitchen had lots of things, but we never cooked. But the outside needs attention. We are sitting on the front porch, but cushion was filled with leaves. Had to shake them off before sitting down. The house could also use power washing and getting rid of spiderwebs in windows.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but the 3rd bedroom next to the kitchen could use a new mattress. It squeaked if you put a suitcase on it much less a person. Also found that not all electric outlets were updated to 3 prong outlets which didn’t work well for CPAP machines and such. But to be clear we enjoyed our stay at the Loco Motive.

Cute little house for our family while we were in town for a sports tournament! It was a good “home base”, yet I would not have wanted to stay with all of us for a whole week. One of the “bedrooms” was in what would normally be a dining room and there was little privacy for those folks. Parking was good, just a little tight for wide vehicles. It was clean (except the thick dust on all the ceiling fans). The welcome snacks were a great addition! It was a quiet, safe neighborhood and morning coffee on the front porch was perfect! We walked to a local beautiful park. We would stay again for another tournament weekend.

We left this property early after staying one sleepless night.
We had 2 small children with us and the location of the home was a little sketchy. There was a shelter of some sort less than 1/4 of a mile away with 20+ homeless men sitting on the curb. We passed this on our way to the home.
The neighbors partied very loudly until 4 am. You could hear them from every area in the house. As previous guests have mentioned, they have a dog chained up that barks incessantly.
The response I got from the host was lacking when I let them know we would be checking out early. “ I’m so sorry. We occasionally have this problem, some family members must be home for the holidays.”
I hate leaving bad reviews (truly) but I just wanted to save someone else the trouble of having to move to a hotel.

The house is beautiful! Larger than the pictures show too. Loved the high ceilings. The bed was more comfortable than our own bed at home. Communication from the owners was great with very quick responses. Great quiet location. Would love to book here again next visit to the area!

The house is ok, pretty nicely renovated, though the middle bedroom has a very loud lumpy mattress and is in the front room's path to any toilet. The main problem is the dog next door, who yelped a good bit every night. It is cruelly chained with a super heavy chain, so no blame on it. This isn't this owner's fault either.

Spent nine days with family for ACL cornhole. Great cottage close to sports complex and breweries. Comfy beds. Added AC units were a plus!

My husband and I just stayed overnight while we were driving to our destination. The house has been well updated. There are three bedrooms, a large bathroom, and a well-equipped kitchen. It was comfortable and homey. Plenty of parking. The host was very communicative. We enjoyed our stay!

The property was clean, updated, and perfect for our young children with 2 adjacent bedrooms. Our master bedroon was well-appointed and comfortable. Nice size eat-in kitchen and full size washer and dryer. Also, we have a dog; the fenced backyard was perfect! Around grocery stores, restaurants, and other amenities. Walking distance to Glencairn Botanical Gardens which is perfect for a scenic walk or a picnic. Also, a short drive to River Walk. Overall wonderful visit!

Good experience except for the neighbors dog sitting in a cage outside on a picnic table for 6 hours waiting for someone to come get him I guess. I don’t know . He was gone in morning but still barking and crying off and on until at least 9:00 p.m. . Hard to watch as a dog lover. Broke my heart.

We utilize this home as our home away from home for a family wedding. The house was nice and tidy when we arrived. The owners were great at accommodating us with our two Boston terriers. The home was comfortably furnished which gave us plenty of relaxation options. Back door was a little bit tricky to lock/unlock. Absolutely a wonderful stay for us in the Rock Hill area.

This was such a positive experience I’m recommending it to everyone and we hope to come back next year. There is so much to do in the area we didn’t see it all.
We have rented many times in the past but this property was the cleanest and more than ample supplies. Thanks !!

House was cute and beds were comfortable. Bathroom was quite nice! There is a little park just a few blocks away that we enjoyed walking our dogs at in the morning. The street the house is on is rather narrow, but there’s a wide gravel parking area behind the house.
