About this house rental
Permit: 2018-02
Behold Wimberley Waters. Located along idyllic River Road, this Texas Hill Country getaway is an absolute gem of a private retreat—a perfect escape for large families and old friends. Extensive 2022 renovations brought new levels of comfort and grandeur: luxury furnishings, sleek and stylish bathrooms, Spanish tile, micro-cement countertops, cozy little nooks for quiet thought, and big congregant spaces for those feeling festive.
Wimberley Waters offers the best of both worlds: peaceful seclusion and easy access to culture, adventure, and nightlife. This modern river lodge is perched on the tranquil banks of the Blanco River, just a short scenic walk from Wimberley’s charming downtown square.
With five bedrooms, each with its own external door so guests can come and go without disturbing others, and five baths, the property will comfortably sleep 18. An offset guest house gives additional privacy and flexibility. Each of the custom-made built-in bunk beds has its own dimmable LED light and USB charging port.
The perks of Wimberley Waters spread well beyond its walls. Step outside and across River Road to an expansive, private park on the Blanco River. Dip your feet in the water or simply lounge in the shady yard full of hammocks, rocking chairs, and Adirondacks, all perfect for long hours of Hill Country fun.
Or maybe you’re feeling a little competitive. Challenge your family and friends to games of cornhole, horseshoes, ping-pong, foosball, Jenga, hook & ring toss—all are here, and all available at any hour thanks to the spacious lighted pavilion out back. Fire up the grill, spin the ceiling fans, and gather around the big banquet table to share something delicious and reminisce as late as you like, at least as long as the fireplace is lit and the s’mores are toasting.
Both the main house and guest house are generously stocked with every convenience you’d want in a home: modern spacious kitchens, quality cookware, fresh linens on every bed and plush towels for days. On lazy mornings or rainy afternoons, just stay under the covers and watch some TV, or screen a movie for the kids in one of the living rooms while the bigger kids mix drinks and deal cards in another.
On beautiful days a wonderland of adventure awaits. The crystal-clear Blanco River is unmatched for fishing, canoeing, and kayaking—whatever your speed. Take a daytrip to Canyon Lake and rent a boat or a pair of jet-skis. Float the majestic Guadalupe and soak up some sun, then cool down after dark at the Whitewater Amphitheater for live music under a canopy of trees.
An easy walk to Wimberley Square drops you right in the middle of Hill Country culture, with boutiques and antique shops, restaurants, and bars. Explore New Braunfels and Gruene just down the road, each boasting fabulous restaurants and music venues. The 200+ shops at the San Marcos Outlet can fill an entire day, and don’t forget to bless the kids with a visit to Schlitterbahn Water Park or Landa Park, where they can swim, slide, run, and hike until they’re spent.
Blanco has several attractions for outdoorsmen, history buffs, and foodies. Blanco State Park offers fishing, swimming, and hiking. For those interested in the Old West, the Buggy Barn has over 140 restored covered wagons. Real Ale Brewing Company offers guided tours and a taproom tasting experience.
Farther down the road is historic Fredericksburg and its numerous wineries, all within a few miles of each other. Stroll the grounds and dip into as many as you please. Or visit one of Fredericksburg’s two amazing museums: the National Museum of the Pacific War and the Pioneer Museum. Make sure to stop by a fruit stand during the summer months to grab some famous Fredericksburg peaches.
**The health and safety of our guests is paramount. Cleanliness is always our top priority. We offer a 24-hour guest service contact number for emergencies, and all messages will be answered promptly. Arrive after 4:00 pm when it is convenient for you for an easy and contactless check-in.

We had plenty of room for the 9 of us to spread out. The beds were comfortable, and our teens really enjoyed the bunks. We had tons of fun playing ping pong and foosball, hanging out in the BBQ pavilion, and watching the deer crossing. Although the location is within walking distance to the creek/river and downtown, we didn't feel safe walking and sharing the narrow road with the cars. Overall, we really liked this rental. It felt like a hotel stay with a hill country setting. I would not hesitate to rent this property again.

The great room and kitchen were outstanding, and so were the grounds and the outdoor pavilion.
The several bunk beds do not really accommodate adults.
The refrigerator water and ice dispensers did not work.
The was an uncovered HVAC ceiling vent in the great room.
The overall cleanliness of the property was good, with one big exception. The bed linens in the three outer suites had not been changed. We found hair, an ear bud, and a candy wrapper in the "made up" beds (some of our party chose to sleep on couches the first night). Further, it was somewhat difficult to get new linen; it took considerable haggling before we were taken care of.

Great location, although we weren't able to really access the river.

We had a wonderful time bonding, brainstorming and sipping on margaritas!

The property is well described and well located. Property managers were timely in their responses and very accommodating. Perfect for a family to get together and still have their privacy. Would definitely return! Some helpful tips: bring extra towels as there is no access to a washer/dryer, if you are in to cooking consider bringing extra supplies (knives could use sharpening, limited pans, no tea kettle, etc). Beds are very comfortable and water gets very hot. Two ovens in the main kitchen which really came in handy. Great TV setup for watching the games! Altogether a great time!

We had our 3rd annual reunion weekend at this same property and it gets better each year. It’s a group of 15 college friends and we couldn’t ask for a better venue. Close to downtown Wimberly for shopping, sipping and dining. We will be back next year!

The house was a great layout for a large group, nicely furnished and well kept. While it could be considered within walking distance of downtown, it wouldn’t be a short, quick walk unless there was a cut through we were unaware of. One other note, it should probably be noted in the listing that there is no washer or dryer on property. We are so used to that being standard in a vrbo that it surprised us. If we had been staying for a longer period of time that would have been an issue. Overall, though, still an excellent property. Just a couple things that could be clearer in the listing so that visitors are aware.

We had 4 couples stay at this location and we all enjoyed staying here. Every couple had privacy with their own room and bathroom. We enjoyed using the outside fire pit and cooking on the grill. We loved catching up on the couch in the living room while playing games. We will definitely be back!

Our stay was for 5 adult couples. The main house had the common area and 2 of 5 bedrooms/baths without having to go outside, although 1 of the main house ensuite baths also had to double as a common area bath. 2 of the other bedrooms/baths were attached to the main house, but were only accessible from outside, which was a little inconvenient given the mid-January crispy cool evenings and mornings to gather with others in the main common area of the house. The casita/cabin with 5th bed/bath and kitchen was fine. Property cleaning crew could be better: floors were gritty under foot throughout the property upon arrival on tile, carpets, and area rugs...not a huge deal, but should be discussed by management. Would recommend to property owner that a small vanity/counter space to put toiletries on be added to all 5 bathrooms as all 5 baths were sink only (2 did have a small under cabinet but no counter space at all). Property/vrbo management was very responsive on the weekend as we did need to call with a couple of questions. The exterior property grounds were excellent!

Our family wanted a little get away for Christmas and we needed a place to accommodate 14 people. Wimberley Waters was perfect for us. We all had our own space. The location is fantastic. It’s a short walk to Wimberley Market Square. I would stay here again and would highly recommend this property.

This was our second year at the property for our annual college girls reunion. However we were most delighted with the AMAZING renovations and updates to the property! The Big house and the little house provide so much room - just right for gathering, eating and chatting as well as space enough for private time. The beds were extremely comfortable - and those lucky enough to get the bunk beds were delighted with the charger stations. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed cooking together. We are already definitely planning our third return weekend for 2023!

We loved the house.
The only problem we had was checking in. We arrived shortly after check in time (4:00pm), but the code given us was not correct and we could not get in. We called both numbers given us but only got voice mail and did not get a return call. We didn't get an answer until almost an hour after we had arrived. But he was very kind and apologetic, saying VBRO failed to update the code and he gave us the correct code. Also, the welcome letter said there were little yellow coolers on the counter that were our gifts to keep. There was nothing there. But we did very much enjoy our stay and were comfortable in the house and will probably come again.

Great for families!
Wimberley Waters was the perfect place for my siblings and I and our families to get away. The location was perfect and we really enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and covered patio. The home is roomy, comfortable and perfectly set up for large groups. Four master suites plus the 1 bedroom cottage provided private sanctuaries for each couple in our group. Michelle was a great hostess and was quick to respond to our needs. We are already planning a return trip!

Wimberley Waters is Special!
We had a amazing time! The house is laid perfectly for a multiple family gathering, if needed. There was plenty of space to relax outside: hammocks, tree swing, outsides covered area, or walk across the street and relax on the river. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much!

Perfect spot for family fun
This house is perfect for a family gathering. We had four families together for a family reunion. The living room and kitchen provided ample space to be together. The kitchen was well equipped. Having a bathroom for each bedroom was great. The separate cottage provided a quiet space to be when needed. The house is very close to the river. The kids spent hours swimming and fishing. There is a large pavilion with picnic tables and a grill as well as hammocks and plenty space for the kids to play. We had a couple of minor issues that were resolved promptly. Overall we were happy with our stay.
