The property needs a refreash. Beding linens need updates, yard needs work, some furniture needs replaced. One bathroom on second floor for 4 bedrooms is a challenge. 3/4 bath on main floor is very awkward, sense the bed rooms are upstairs.
Called maintance and they did respond to some of our issues.

This was my first Vrbo rental. We were over the top impressed with the property. It was clean, cute, and fit our needs well. Nice quiet area, and close to everything we had planned to do. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place for us to gather😊

Need a central location for 11 of us to stay. 6 kids and 5 adults. This house was perfect. Plenty of area for everyone to just hang out, relax in different parts of the house. Kids loved having backyard. Hot tub wasn't working that is life things happen.

This house is incredible!!! It was the perfect home
base for experiencing the Royal Gorge, train, and downtown. It is an old historical home with plenty of unique features including hidden doors, a bar, cozy sitting room, sweeping staircase. There was plenty of room for our families. We enjoyed just hanging in the house!
The property manager, Marie, made sure our stay was top notch and was super responsive to our questions.
Would completely recommend if you are looking for a welcoming, cozy, unique place to stay.

This house was just what we needed for a quick, fall family getaway. It’s conveniently located near the Royal Gorge with lots of dining options in walking distance. Plenty of space with a gorgeous kitchen and the hot tub was the icing on the cake.

It is a nice house and we enjoyed our stay. However, it is an old house with uneven floors and ALL bedrooms upstairs with only one full bathroom upstairs. The other bath and the half bath are both downstairs. Its not great especially with older ones. They leave more than enough toilet paper, towels ect. The mattresses need to be replaced and the furniture in the tv room is worn out. Just wanted to share the things i wish we had known especially for the price.

We had an amazing stay here. Everything was even better than advertised. Marie is a fantastic host.

Immediately welcome and comfortable. Beautifully appointed home, well stocked gourmet kitchen. Original character of the historical home well preserved in the necessary updates through the years. Formal but comfortable living room and dining room were perfect for our suppers. Plenty of space and bathrooms for all 8 of us. Hot tub was clean and fabulous. I adored the back bedroom with the "secret staircase" to the kitchen. The caretaker, Marie, was very helpful and sweet. This place is very special and I would love to stay again for a longer time.

Beautiful, historical home - close to downtown Canon City! House has lots of character and is very comfortable. We were in Canon City for a family reunion and this was the perfect place for us to stay - close to shops/grocery and just a 5 min drive from family home. Close to main roads for our daily outings to see local attractions. The property manager was super helpful, friendly and informative. She quickly responded to any questions!

I wish I could have stayed longer and would stay here again if I ever needed to come Canyon City. This house has tons of character with and old historic feel and the owners have struck a great balance of making it feel very classy but still comfortable to enjoy. My two young daughters didn’t want to leave and said it was like a castle! The beds were comfy, the yard was great, the kitchen actually had everything you’d need to cook full meals. Check in was super easy and communication was great!

My husband told me that he enjoyed this house more than anywhere we have ever stayed.
The house is historic and beautiful with just the right amounts of modern updates. Honestly this house feels very comfortable and welcoming.
We loved sitting out in the sunroof at night enjoying a glass of wine and even got to watch as deer came into the yard!
The beautiful backyard space was private and a great way to relax after a day of shopping or running and doing.

The house was great. Clean, well kept, lots of amenities. Fun to explore and find the hidden staircase that comes out of a cupboard in the kitchen.

We really enjoyed our stay and the house was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again. Great location to downtown and the river. The location is on quiet streets which was nice. We were a little surprised that only one full bath was upstairs for the four bedrooms. That was no big deal as the downstairs full bath was nice with a great shower. Also noted was the back bedroom was shared with the washer / dryer and had back stairs down to the kitchen. There were full height cabinet doors closing the stairs off from the kitchen for privacy.
Everything was perfect during our stay.

Great location for a family gathering. Very spacious, well stocked kitchen. The historic house was well kept. The host was very responsive to our needs. Be prepared for VERY hard/firm mattresses in all rooms. The hard beds made this a 4 not a 5 for us.

Fantastic stay. Clean, easy access to stores, restaurants and local attractions. Fun to explore the house and find the hidden staircase.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. We loved everything about it. The outdoor spa was clean and great. Just two items to be aware of that was no big deal with us: 1) There is only one full bath upstairs for the four bedrooms. The other full bath with a nice shower is downstairs along with a 1/2 bath. 2) One bedroom upstairs is shared with the washer / dryer and has back stairs down to the kitchen. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for our annual girls weekend getaway. The property was just as listed— lots of character. The kitchen is really well stocked. The property Manager Marie was very quick to respond to my texts about the property and went above and beyond when we needed her assistance with a couple of items.

My family had a great vacation in this property. The kids loved the hot tub and movie room, parents loved the kitchen and that there was enough space to spread out. Within easy walking distance to restaurants downtown.

The house was exceptionally interesting and well maintained. The memory foam beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed using the hottub, cooking in the beautiful kitchen, and playing games around the dining table. We would definitely recommend.

The house was beautiful and well equipped. The kitchen is so fun and full of cooking pans, bowls, salt and pepper and a couple spices. It was fairly cold while we were there (30s and lower at night) and the house was comfortable to sleep and they had plenty of additional space heaters. We only used one of them early in the morning when we were playing board games in the family room. The house has so much old character and was plenty of space for us (2 kids, 2 parents and 4 grand parents). The hot tub was sparkling clear and warm and we enjoyed a dip in the morning. The backyard was enclosed and perfect for a safe place for dogs to play or relieve themselves. We plan on coming back to ride the train in the summer and will definitely think about renting again if we have a group!

Beautiful house walking distance to many restaurants and grocery store House had great amenities and plenty of towels, kitchen supplies etc… Would definitely stay again!

Stayed here while visiting family and activities at the Gorge. Had no complaints, pictures and description of house accurate. Had everything needed, except a blow dryer, which isn’t a real life problem! Hot tub was very nice after long busy days. Plenty of space for a family. There are two Ring cameras on the outside of doors which we didn’t mind and it was noted in description. Would stay here again.

An Absolute adorable beautiful fun house!
This Victorian styled home updated to a classic modern Victorian home is magnificent! This was a perfect home to stay in! Fully equipped with everything you may need to cook, clean, and more! Beds were comfortable, sheets were extremely soft, all furniture was of quality not cheap, extra towels, nicely stocked kitchen, beautiful layout of the house, had plenty of room for family to have space for themselves, the house was PERFECT! Back yard was great to eat outside easily accessible to the kitchen. The only thing I could say bad about the house is, I don’t own it! So glad I found it! Would highly recommend this house for a vacation stay.

Great Downtown Home Base
A group of 9 of us stayed here for a couple of friends' birthdays, and the house was more than accommodating for all of us. Spacious living space, lots of parking, great backyard and hot tub, and it's so close to everything in downtown Canon City. Great place!

Full of Charm!
Great home! So unique, charming, and perfect for our family getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked, including kids cups and utensils! Plenty of space to spread out, and we loved roasting s’mores by fire at night.

Wonderful Holiday in Canon City
Our family really enjoyed our stay in Canon City the week before Christmas and this house was a huge part of our enjoyment. It is beautiful and was large enough to house our family for dinners and special visits with grandkids. We would definitely rent this house again and hope to again in the near future.

Very cool old Victorian style home
The house was a really cool and well remodeled old Victorian style home… we did get pretty chilly at night because the heating system did not seem to be working properly. I called the home representative and let her know and she offered to bring some space heaters.
