The location and the space was absolutely perfect for our family. Bed was so comfortable and great space for family to gather. With access to lake! We will be back

Great location, good clean cabin, no washer & dryer, but other then that good stay.
4.0 / 5.0
Our host contact Chris did everything in his power to ensure that our stay was successful. The cabin has a few problems, the main one being that the front door is not squared & it only opens 1/3 of the full opening. The step in/out of the cabin is inaccurate in the rise (depth/height), There is no washer/dryer for guest use. Read your listings carefully as I did not. Only after booking, discovered there were no such facilities. The house was very damp and cold, due to the time of year. Unfortunately, neither baseboard heat system or the gas fireplace were working. Chris provided us with 3 portable radiator-style oil filled heaters to help keep the dampness away. The kitchen appliances are very old & lighting was terrible for food prep, cooking & cleaning up afterwards. I was told that there will be a new kitchen in 1-2 years. The beautiful hard wood floors are showing signs of warping and buckling in many places from the climate changes. The cabin’s Great Room and dining area are beautifully photogenic and is a lovely area to sit. The large TV was a plus for my husband but the tiny loveseat does not allow for more than 2 and was very uncomfortable. Thankfully, both of the bedrooms’ furniture and soft goods were very comfortable. The master bathroom was bright & cheery w/ 4 large windows that overlooked Lake Champlain. The large shower was also very accommodating. All in all, it was a pleasant stay & served our needs.

We had a fantastic time at the holiday hideout (our second time here!) the house has everything needed and is in the perfect location. We enjoyed the private beach, made s’mores with the outdoor fire pit, went kayaking and paddle boarding, took a day trip to Burlington, and visited the local state parks. It’s so peaceful at the house and we can’t wait to come back again.

The place was roomy and clean. Chris, the owner and the Evolve Team were quick to respond and accommodating when requesting a date change as we had a family matter that our friends had and could not make the original booked dates. I was thrilled that another date was available for us. We enjoyed the kayaks and trampoline...so much fun. The master bed was very comfy but come sun-rise, the sun does shine into that window. I would suggest installing shades for the two bedroom windows. Since we've had a lot of rain, we brought a few pieces of wood for burning and news paper. I would suggest having a fire poker handy for the outdoor firepit, newspaper to start the fire and a grill lighter. The only other suggestion would be to ask the cleaners to hose out the back sliding door jam and sweep or blow the leaves off the back deck as there were quite a few cob webs and dirt in the door jam. I'm sure it's because we've had a lot of rain lately. We went to the North Hero Marina and had a great lunch and good beer selection at Drifters restaurant. I believe it use to be called the Tiki Bar but now under new management. Service and wait staff are friendly and happy to be there. It's a gorgeous spot to watch the coming and going of boats. Other than that, it was a great stay and I've already booked for next year.
Thank you for such a fun stay Chris.

We had good weather so that made our stay that much better! The cabin is plenty roomy and offered all the comforts of home. We used the kayaks, trampoline and enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. The master bed was comfy along with the bunks. Chris and the Evolve Team were very responsive and accommodating.
We're making out plans for next summer already.
Thank you Chris for a fun stay in the islands.

Beautiful view. The house itself was very cute exactly as pictured except for the bathroom, which had a shower instead of a tub, but not a deal breaker. A little pricy considering it was not as clean as I expected, pillows were flat, and only Luke warm water. The steps had too much rise going into the house from both decks almost like another step was needed. Sounds like a lot to complain about, but really it is small fixes that could easily be remedied in a day. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and seclusion that this rental offered so overall, it was 4 stars.

Had a super time. Plenty of room for 4 adults,
a 4 and 6 yr old.
The lake right out front kept them entertained for hours.
Property was neat and clean. Well equipped.

Excellent
The property was absolutely beautiful, the home was so warm and cozy and the host was accommodating and very helpful. I only saw one ant inside (like previous reviewer mentioned) which is pretty amazing given the location. 10/10 and will stay here again.

While visiting UVM
We enjoyed our stay on Lake Champlain, but it was a bit further from UVM than we realized. Our fault... the house was a good rental, but there is a definite any issue, considering all that we saw in the house and it is only April.
