About this cabin rental
This cozy 3-bedroom cabin was lovingly built by our father and uncle in the 1960's and 70's. It is situated
The cabin is fully furnished with a king in Eagle Bedroom 1, two sets of custom-built pine bunkbeds in the middle Forest Animals Bedroom 2 and a hand-made pine double bed in the Fishing Bedroom 3.
The entire cabin has tongue-in-groove pine board walls and ceilings and newly refinished pine board floors. The great room features a log-burning fireplace and a wall of windows facing the lake with a comfortable green leather loveseat and matching chair and a pine dining table.
The full kitchen is well-stocked with a stove, full refrigerator/freezer, microwave and plenty of dishes, utensils, pots & pans and small appliances. The tiled bathroom includes a flush toilet, shower, sink and large mirrored vanity with storage for bathroom essentials.
The property gets regular visits from local wildlife (many kinds of birds, frogs, deer, turtles, raccoons, mink and beavers, even an occasional pelican sighting). Don't be surprised if the resident chipmunks want to make friends as they scrounge for (unsalted) peanuts.
It’s just a short walk to a small store where you can purchase candy or beverages (including bottle shop + on-water gas for boats). The owners live next door if you have questions or need something.

First time renting a VRBO, and it was exceptional! Lisa and Phil were great hosts. The property itself was very well maintained and boasted so many extras. Loved the snack basket, the plethora of games & books, fully equipped kitchen/bathroom. They even provided a selection of ornaments as a keepsake of this trip. Great experience!

We enjoyed a wonderful week with our family! Kayaking, swimming, s'more's at the fire pit, northern lights, fishing, and hiking. Lovely lake cabin, every amenity we needed was provided. Great owners and hosts!

This was a great escape from the city! Beautiful sunsets from the deck and relaxing morning with many unique bird visitors. A giant lake to cruise around and fish. Perfect setup inside for what we needed. Our hosts were very communicative and helpful with nearby spots to check out!

We have stayed at many VRBO properties, and this was one of the cleanest coziest places we have stayed. The kitchen, bathrooms and living areas were all very clean. There were many little extras like bikes, water equipment, etc. Very nice sturdy docks with bummer protection which is important to us traveling with our fishing boat. Very accommodating for our every need. Owners are right next door, but respective of our time and of our two dogs traveling with us. I would gladly stay at this property again. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

This place is amazing. It has everything one could possibly think of. The cabin is beautiful, cozy and the beds were very comfortable. Lisa and Phil were very pleasant. The location on the lake was perfect, so calm and not a lot of boat traffic. Made for sitting out on the deck very peaceful. I would highly recommend this property to anyone and everyone. We plan to return to this little oasis!
Thank you Lisa and Phil for your great hospitality!

This cabin is cozy and comfortable in every way, very clean, nicely decorated, and stocked with absolutely everything you could want or need and more! The hosts are friendly, helpful and accommodating. We especially appreciated their help with parking our 22’ boat. We loved the quieter location on the narrows, watching the loons, and especially a northern lights display one night. We’ve stayed at numerous VRBOs, and this definitely takes first place in how well it’s managed and cared for. We just left yesterday and are already booked for next year!

Lisa and Phil were the perfect hosts! The cabin is cozy and has everything you need. We had a great time and would recommend this without hesitation. Phil and Lisa went the extra mile replacing an inner tube for pulling kids behind boat which was a big highlight. I didn't bring my golf clubs and Phil allowed me to use his to play the Wilderness at Fortune Bay, amazing course and experience! Thank you again!

Well kept with everything you need! Beautiful lake front for swimming and playing with all the toys (water bike, kayak, paddle boat). Good dock for tying up your own boat. Close enough to town to run in for forgotten items, yet truly in the wilderness. Can see the stars and hear the loons calling. Terrific place for a family vacation!

Sweet little cabin with friendly hosts. My husband loved the fishing and was able to catch Pike, Walleye, Small Mouth Bass and Sunnies. I loved that we didn't have to keep our dog on a leash when he was outside. He loved trying to catch the chipmunks and even did a Tom Cruise impersonation by sliding sideways half way across the hosts deck in pursuit of one. We had a great time and look forward to visiting again. Thanks Phil and Lisa!

We stayed 5 nights, clean, cozy, comfortable. It’s very nice that the property is located in a NO WAKE ZONE of the lake. Good pan fish fishing right off the dock. Kitchen has everything you could ask for and accessible. The property is tucked back in the woods was a little difficult to maneuver our tritoon (24 foot on a bunk trailer) in the driveway. Shouldn’t be any issues for anything smaller. Very close to a bot landing which. Overall great week and great results place to stay!!!!!!

It was girls week at the cabin and the four of us had a wonderful time with our 2 pups! Lisa and Phil are wonderful hosts and live right next door. Phil even helped us with our kayaks. We have stayed in at least 25 VRBO rentals and this is by far the most well stocked - there wasn’t a thing we were wanting or needing… nice little fire pit down by the dock, great deck to sit on and watch the lake, corn to feed the ducks, fun water bike, kitchen with plenty of room and every utensil, good WiFi and a Roku TV you could watch anything. Definitely would come back!

The cabin was a great fit for my family's summer vacation! The hosts provided even more than we expected. Meal preparation was easy with such a well-stocked kitchen. The kids really enjoyed the ducks, chipmunks, and swimming by the dock.

Was grateful to find a cabin for such a great value. It really is a great little cabin, everything I think of when I think “cabin”. They supply a lot of things I haven’t had at rentals before, spices, ziploc bags and tinfoil, a drawer full of notepads and coloring stuff, books, some fire starters, shampoo/conditioner/lotion, LOTS of towels, etc. we found it easy to cook and the owners next door even had sour cream when we forgot ours. The grocery store is not far either, 15 minutes just like at home. We made sure to use the bikes, paddle bike, paddle boat, kayak and lift jackets. We parked our boat by the dock overnight, though did pull it out when it was going to storm. Public launch is just around the corner. It was nice having the owners close by but didn’t really see them much. Best part about the cabin; king bed, wifi and TV, great deck with nice furniture. They don’t have AC, but it was fine, plenty of fans. It’s a cozy cabin. Has everything you need, but with our group of 2 adults and 4 teenagers, if everyone was up moving around at the same time, there were little traffic jams. You know how kitchens get!😊 water was hot and beds were decent. Fishing was kind of slow, but that’s August for you. We did catch enough to eat well at least one night! Cute resort on the island across the way, so it’s not a secluded. Nice that the waterway by the cabin is no wake. Ducks and chipmunks are cute, entertaining and not shy!😆 no laundry, so just plan accordingly, 15 minutes to laundromat in town. With all the towels supplied, we were fine without it. We brought a few of our own beach towels but you can imagine how many are needed with 2 adults, 4 teenagers and a dog.

Everything was great. Cabin was nice. Owners were great. Location and views were amazing. Fishing was excellent.
Only complaint is mandatory purchase of insurance policy for damages. We were only there 3 nights and it cost $99 for the insurance. Seems kinda crazy to me to charge that amount.

Perfection on the lake!
This cozy little cabin is “Perfection” on the lake. It is clean, comfortable and easily sleeps 6 people. The owners are very helpful. Great communication before and during the stay. Outdoor amenities like paddle boat, Kayak, Bicycle boat are all great! We were lucky to see Northern Lights right from the deck of the cabin! You can watch amazing sunrise and sunset from the dock! This cabin never runs out of things to enjoy!!
