About this house rental
As you pull onto the driveway, you'll catch a glimpse of the lovely hide away holiday home that's to be your personal getaway. Walk around the front and you'll be staggered by the size and beauty of the house and garden. This unique, country family home, looks out over a beautiful, south-facing garden, and is certainly a bolthole where memories of great family holidays will be made.
Inside, Corn Close has been furnished in a relaxed, country-house style with an eclectic mix of new, antique and shabby-chic furniture and furnishings that create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere ideally suited for a family with grandparents or two couples and their children. On the ground floor is a sunny kitchen-breakfast room, a utility room and cloakroom, and a spacious living-dining room, with a wood burner, which connects to a TV/playroom. On the first floor are three bedrooms, two doubles (one ensuite) and a single with a desk (handy for those on a workation) and a family bathroom. On the second floor is a long attic bedroom with four singles - a children-only room due to the low beams over the beds.
While the house is super family friendly, the south-facing garden makes it even more so, with its lawn for al fresco eating or playing croquet, cricket or football, the meadow for mini adventurers, the fire pit for toasting marshmallows, and garden benches to sit on and lose yourself in a great book or watch a starry night sky - there's no light pollution here!
*Dogs: 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome at the cottage at an additional cost each. Please let us know if you will be bringing a dog and we will then revise your booking confirmation. The pet fee is NOT included in your booking fee. A request for an additional fee per pet will be sent to you after you have placed your booking. Your pet fee must be paid for before your arrival date.

Outside
Corn Close has an enchanting garden that's breath-taking all year round. Within its two acres are several areas to explore that will delight all ages. There's a play area with a children's swing/gym set and football goals. Next to that is a stone circle and firepit where guests can cook out, toast marshmallows and enjoy the warmth of the fire under starlit skies. A gate opens to a Public Footpath that leads to Paxford, Chipping Campden and Ebrington. Directly in front of the house is a large level lawn - ideal for croquet, badminton or football. A dining table and six chairs are set up to one side of the house under a glorious acer tree - close enough to the kitchen door to make it easy to carry out food and drinks. Three wooden benches are positioned around the garden to enjoy the morning and evening sunshine.
To one end of the house is a wooden porch with a bench, coat hooks and a boot store, with a Weber charcoal BBQ, garden hose and a storage chest beside it. To the rear of the house are utility items, including the wood store and bins. A path and gates (with latches) lead to the parking area where there is space for three cars. The garden is secure for dogs and children when the driveway gate, side gate and two garden gates are closed.

Great location for visiting the Cotswolds. The accommodation was perfect for a relaxed few days. There are pretty walks from the doorstep and on your return, plenty of light airy space in the house to gather and chill. Decorated and equipped to a high standard.

We stayed at Corn Close for a long weekend as a group of ladies & it was great! House was beautiful & just what was needed for our weekend away to make it a home from home. There were a couple of small things that you would expect with it being a holiday home but nothing that would stop me from encouraging others to book this place for their future getaways in the Cotswolds!

Really enjoyed our stay. Relaxing location and plenty of space. Beautiful garden with rural views and walks straight from the door.

We arrived at the end of the September heatwave to this beautiful property. The house was on a quiet country lane with very little traffic. The large enclosed garden was perfect for the dogs to explore and we enjoyed how private it was. The house itself was very comfortable with lovely seating areas to relax, and we were all happy with the comfy beds. The views from the windows were beautiful and we had a fantastic choice of walks from the door. Some minor points to address that could be improved: the main bedroom window monkey tail handle was snapped off, meaning it had to be wedged back in the latch to close the window. The bedside table door was broken/ poorly hung. Multiple windows and lintels were rotten and need to be looked at, it looked like some had already been mended. The main driveway gate does not close as the latch seemed to be broken/gone and we found it had swung open multiple times without us realising, therefore our dogs could have gone into the road. These were still very minor issues as the house was beautiful and we all said we would love to stay again.

We had a lovely holiday at Corn Clos Cottage. Everything was well provided. It would be better when the bicycle stand is provided at the chelter instaed of in the front of the house. We arranged it ourselves protecting the expensive race cycles we had with us.
When I have to mention something negative ... It showed little respect for our peace that grass was mowed unannounced. A simple notification of this activity would have been better.

A lovely peaceful location with great outdoor space and views. Plenty of space. Beds comfy. Nice shower. Welcome cake and biscuits appreciated. No milk, so make sure to bring some with you, but tea and coffee provided. A great place to get away.

This is the most beautiful house we've ever stayed in!
The house is beautifully renovated and decorated. It had everything we needed, and more.
Very spacious, rooms for everyone - we travelled with three kids.
The garden is huge, and well equipped. We enjoyed breakfasts at the dinner outside, we lit a small fire in the evening in the fire pit, the kids loved playing outside. There's a small crook just behind the house.
Beautiful kitchen, very nice to cook in. Cosy living room and family rooms. Loved the books and games. The attic is very sweet.
Great to have two bathrooms with both bath and shower.
The view from the house to the garden and fields behind is spectacular.
Only downsides are the beds, which are too soft to our taste, there's no air conditioning (as expected, but it was hot during our stay), and no stores/bakeries/restaurants in walking distance. But that's the charm of the house - it's a little isolated.
Supermarkets and restaurants are 10 minute drive from the place, so not too bad.
All in all - highly recommended! We just LOVED it.

A wonderful extended stay at Corn Close
Corn Close was a beautiful place stay for 18 nights. Margaret, the housekeeper was very friendly and responsive to our questions and concerns and it was a pleasure getting to know here. We appreciated being able to check in early and the sweet treats, tea, coffee, sugar, and milk that were there at the house when we arrived. The beds and furniture were comfortable. We especially enjoyed the morning sunlight in the kitchen each day, playing in the yard, listening to the sheep in a neighboring field, and taking quiet walks in the evening. Corn Close was a very comfortable, quiet, and a convenient home base for a family vacationing in the Cotswolds.

A perfect family retreat
Corn Close is a beautiful, comfortable, cosy house, which we fell in love with as soon as we stepped in the doorway. It has everything you would need and more. We always end up missing our own home comforts when staying away, yet this was our first - where we completely forgot we are not at home. It truly is an ultimate home from home retreat. Our kids and the dog loved their break and the garden in particular. Despite the occasional rain and the early spring chill in the air - we couldn't get them back inside. With plenty of our own outdoor amenities and even a brook to explore, we reluctantly made ourselves leave the cottage to explore the surrounding towns and the beauty of Cotswolds. There is so much to see and do just the short drive away, so even the location of Corn Close is spot on. Thank you to the owners for letting us enjoy their beautiful home and for the welcome cake, cookies and fresh flowers waiting for us upon arrival! ;)

Beautiful cottage
What a Beautiful Cottage in a very quiet lane. It was in an ideal position for us. The house and garden were lovely and dog friendly. If it's free we will be booking this property again. I have a few quick ideas to make it even more special. Connect the TV to an aerial socket to allow viewing of terrestrial TV rather than Netflix etc. Fit a shower screen or curtain in the en suite, repair the small hole in the plaster above the window seat in the lounge. These are very minor things and did not stop us enjoying the holiday. We all loved it.
